Hello, I'm Masahiko. I am a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter.I was born in Kobe. Now I live in Hirakata city located between Kyoto and Osaka.
I am very familiar to Kansai region especially Kyoto and Osaka and I can show you various nice places in this region. Kyoto had been a capital city in Japan and the emperor's residence from 794 until 1868. So there are a lot of historically important places in Kyoto. You must see them. And Osaka is the largest city after Tokyo and it’s one of the most popular tourist destinations in Japan. There are a lot of attractions in Osaka such as neon lights at night, delicious local food, modern and trendy shopping streets, the amusement parks.
I studied Chemical Engineering at a University in Osaka and have worked in Japanese manufacturers. I have been to more than 30 countries as business trips. I had many wonderful experiences at various places all over the world. Over the years, I have came to love travelling and showing beautiful and wonderful Japan to foreigners.

I took my 12 year-old grandson to Japan for one week. We spent 3 days in Kyoto (I love Kyoto) with Masahiko. He personalized the tour to fit my grandson's wishes. We went to a Samurai training class, a Manga Museum, practiced writing in Japanese, fed deer in Nara, and learned how to use IC cards! It was 100 degrees everyday, and Masahiko adjusted our tours so that we would not be too stressed out by the heat. Masahiko enhanced the trip immeasurably. And his English comprehension and speaking are excellent.
Thank you for attending my tour in Kyoto and Nara. I was very happy to have unique experiences with you. I hope these experiences will become a great memory for your grandson. I look forward to the next chance to see you!
Masahiko was very flexible in setting up my tour as I only had a few hours in Kyoto. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He also helped me get to my train on time for my flight home. I recommend him him with no reservations.
Thank you for attending my short tour in Kyoto. I hope you had a good impression of Kyoto atmosphere. Japan has distinctive feature of each season, so you will be never tired of the scenery. I look forward to seeing you again in Japan.
My wife and I had a very educational and enriching tour of Kyoto with Masahiko. We planned for one full day tour with Masahiko and he created a full schedule for us based on what we wanted to visit. It seemed we were a bit ambitious with our goal of visiting most of the main attractions in Kyoto, as some of the shrines/temples were all the way across town and take anywhere between 20 to 30 minutes to get to. In addition, although we knew that we were going to be walking most of the time, we didn't anticipate that there would be a lot of uphill walking. Masahiko informed me that most of his clients book at least two days to see Kyoto so they wouldn't get exhausted and have more time to enjoy the beautiful shrines and temples. After we visited Fushimi-Inari Taisha Shrine, Kiyomizu-dera Templ... read more
Dear Jonathan, Thank you for your detailed comment. I am very happy to know that you really enjoyed staying with me. There are still more places that I would like to show you in Kyoto and Osaka. I hope to see you again someday! Masahiko
Masahiko was really great. He showed me so many interesting things in the Arashiyama and Nara areas, and we had a lot of fun on the river boat! An amazing experience overall.
Thank you for the review. I am glad to hear that. I look forward to seeing you again!
