Although yasuko was a great guide we spent far much time travelling and very little time at the 2 sights we visited
Thank you for writing a review. It was really beautiful weather, so you could see a view of Mt. Fuji from these sites we visited. I hope you would enjoy the view and waterfalls, shrine and a bullet train. I'm afraid too much bus and train were tired of you.
Yasuko was a great guide, understood what we wanted to see and made sure we did everything on the list. She was very informative about everything we saw and was a lot of fun to be with, highly recommend Yasuko as a guide
William-san, thank you so much for writing a good review. I'm so happy to hear that you all enjoyed my tour. It was a quite lucky day you could see a view of Mt. Fuji and the autumn festival of the shrine as well. Your all members are really nice persons, that's why I really had a good time guiding you, also our driver was so nice person, too. Enjoy cruising in Japan after Shimizu. Regards Yasuko
Lovely personality, great flexibility with the group and constant contact with everyone. Very good English, easy to understand. Very good itinerary, and she picked a great lunch place. Mt. Fuji Center and the special shrine we visited were fascinating. Would definitely use her again!!
Thank you Bob for a good review. I'm so happy to hear that you all enjoyed with me for visiting Mt. Fuji area. Only we could see a view of Mt. Fuji at the pier and on the local train. I also really had a good time with you all, so friendly persons. See you sometime in Japan.
I enjoyed two full-day tours with Yasuko visiting beautiful places in the vicinity of Mount Fuji. Yasuko was agreeable company and her well planned itinerary was responsive to the requirements I had requested as well as including surprises such as Mishima springs and vegetarian lunch (not so easy to find in Japan) at a small boutique restaurant.
Mark-san Thanks for writing a review. I'm so happy to be enjoyed these two-days tours around Mt.Fuji. Especially vegetarian lunch cafe named bain-marie in Mishima, because the chef, who worried about the dishes. So I will let him know about this. You will be back in Japan when you can see the view of Mt. Fuji. Thank you.
Our tour with Yasuko was a full day from Shimizu port to Mount Fuji. She planned every detail very well and made sure to tailor our itinerary to what we wanted to see. Yasuko is a charming, considerate guide who made the experience even more memorable. We got to see two important sights for half of what our ship tour would have cost.
I'm really happy to hear that you two could enjoy my tour to Mt. Fuji area. Of course, you were so lucky to have a view of Mt. Fuji very clearly on that day in this season. Will you come back in fall or winter? It would be much more beautiful scenery.
Yasuko designed a 6 hour tour experience for our group of 8 from the the cruise port in Shimizu. Her english is outstanding and she accommodated our needs very well making seamless adjustments to our program as needed. Highlights of our time together included - Learning about the upcoming festival featuring Samuri Warriors competing in a form of archery on horseback, A unique visit to the Duck Stationery Store, A visit to the wonderful Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine with its extensive buildings, garden, bridges and the cold clear waters of Watutama Pond, The Mt Fuji Heritage Centre. Although we had hoped for views of Mt Fuji, there was 100% cloud cover, so our visit to the Heritage Centre showed us the vision of what we could have seen. We also enjoyed the local noodle lunch at Fujin... read more
Thank you for writing a 5 stars review with my tour in Fujinomiya. On that day, it was not really good weather, so couldn't see a view of Mt. Fuji at all. But it often happens in this season. I'm so happy to hear that you all enjoyed it very much, especially visiting the stationary store with a duck manager. I hope you will be back in Japan again.
We only had 4 hours while ship was in port, but we did a lot! We stopped by a tea farm and then went to the Nihondaira plateau observation deck for a view of the gorgeous Mt. Fuji. We then visited the Kunozan Toshogu Shrine. This was very interesting but requires some stamina to climb up and down all the steep stone steps. Yasuko was an excellent guide and spoke very good English.
Dear Marla, Thank you for writing a review about my tour. I really happy to hear that you had a good experience. You're right a little tough to visit Kunozan Tōshō-gū shrine, but it was so gorgeous buildings. Have a wonderful rest of your trip in Japan. Thank you so much.
Yasuko was very accommodating. We had a nice visit at places we wanted to visit,. An unexpected trip to a tea production warehouse, became the highlife of the tour as we shared a very nice and intimate experience with the tea grower / manuracturer and his family. A pure delight. And the new Nihondaira lookout was wonderful to view the area. All in all a great trip and still have time to visit the port shopping area. for noodles and ice cream.
Paul-san Thank you for writing a review. I' m really happy to hear that you had a great time with visiting tea shop and tasting some special green tea. I will tell them about it. When you dropped by the shopping center, also you enjoyed some food. Have a safe trip and enjoy traveling Japan. Thank you so much.
Thank you for writing a review of my tour. Happy new year!
Awesome guide, fantastic time! Highly recommended!
Dear Kim-san Thank you soooo much for writing 5 stars review. I'm really happy to hear that you two really enjoyed my tour. So welcome back in Japan sometime.
We recently went on a Windstar cruise in Japan and had a short stop in Shimizo. We pre-booked a half day tour with local expert, Yasuko, to visit Shizuoka. We found Yasuko from a list of available private tour guides from the TripleLights.com website. From the planning stages, she communicated thoroughly with our itinerary and answered any and all questions very promptly. We had only half a day at port and so we wanted to see the Kunozan Toshogu Shrine and Mt. Fuji. She met us at the port and from there, she navigated our way effortlessly to the Nihondaira Ropeway by means of subways and bus. She was amazing with her time scheduling, knowing where and when we should be at any one moment. Yasuko's English is excellent. She explained the history, culture and meaning of the various ... read more
Dear Jamie san, Thank you for writing the review about my tour, I' m really happy to hear that you enjoyed very much on that day. We were really lucky to visit Toshogu shrine on the special day, could through the main gate and see the special decoration. I could manage the tour schedule punctually, but it depended on your ship schedule for helpful with transport timetable. New observation deck will be opening on Nov. 3rd, you will be back in shimizu sometime. Thank you so much.
Yasuko met us coming off of the Diamond Princess, which docked in Shimizu. We planned for an 8 hour tour but ran out of steam. Yasuko was on-time for everything and communicated very well throughout the process. We had the opportunity to use local buses and local commuter trains. We tried Sake at a brewery, a Mt. Fuji Shrine, and the Mt Fuji museum. We also visited a large waterfall in the Mt. Fuji area and made it back in time for our daughter to try on a Kimono. Overall we really enjoyed our time with Yasuko and appreciate all the effort she made to make sure we had a great time. Thank you, Adam
Thank you for your review, Adam san. I'm really happy to hear that you & family especially your daughter had fun. She was so cute to wear kimono, looked quite happy. It was not really good weather for the view of Mt. Fuji, but you tried almost everything you could experience around Shimizu port. I hope you will be back in sometime in Japan. If you don't mind I will put upload your photos on this site. Thank you so much, Adam & family. Yasuko
Yasuko is an excellent tour guide who can speak English speaker well. She guided and taught us how to navigate the complicated train and bus system. We were able to see Mount Fuji very well from World heritage museum while many other people have to pay so much money to see it on the same day but they could not see it. She is very knowledgeable of local events. Using her knowledge of local information, she took us to a free event where we can try on the beautiful Kimono , learn about the tea ceremony and origami folding paper that were right next to our cruise ship. We also went on a Bullet train. We were able to do many things in one day. Without her guidance, we would have been lost and it would have been impossible to do all this in one day. Thank you so much Yasuko. We had a wonder... read more
Dear Julia, thank you for writing review of my tour. And also you were really enjoying with wearing kimono, tea ceremony at pier. I hope you will be back sometime in Japan.
We had a short amount of time in Shimizu from our cruise ship. Yasuko worked hard to arrange for taxi rides to Nihondaira and back. She had the taxi make a stop at a tea farm and she gave us a guided tour of the local fish market. She made the trip fun and informative. I would recommend her highly.
To Adrian & Monica san, Thank you for good review of my tour. This was flexible tour for your requests. I'm so happy to hear that you had fun at a tea farm with view of Mt.Fuji. We had the nice taxi driver I could arrange. Also I could thankful fit you my tour by your straight requesting. Thank you so much. See you sometime in Japan.
We we're very pleased with Yasuko as our guide. Her English is excellent as well as her knowledge of the area. Enjoyed eating the local noodles.
Thank you for your review. I' m really happy that you all had fun with my tour around Mt.Fuji area. I could get a good memory of you. See you sometime in Japan.
Yasuko provided excellent pre-tour contact to provide options before we docked in Shimizu for our tours. She pre-arranged our transportation for our group of 8 including one on wheelchair. Because we were able to contact her months before our tour we were able to pre-determine what we wanted to see. She was very flexible in changing our tour since some of what we plan to see was done in other port of call earlier in our tours. One suggestion would be to have a portable microphone so passengers in the back to hear her while during in the van.
Thank you for writing review about my tour. I' m really happy to hear you & your member all had fun in shizuoka city tour with a van. Our driver was very gentle and kind, he was so happy to be with you. Thank you for your advise about a microphone. I will prepare for it for the next tour with a van. Yasuko
Yasuko our guide picked us up at our hotel and escorted us to the Numazu fish market. The tour and especially the very interesting discussion at the end with the fish buyer stay in good memory. We really enjoyed the the morning together with her. Thank you so much Yasuko-san.
Dear Roger, thank you for your reviewing my tour to Numazu fish market. I'm really happy to have enjoyed it, especially your experience to talk with the fish buyer and taste some shrimp. I hope this tour would be useful for your business. See you someday in Japan or Swizerland.
Yasuko our guide travelled to the Hotel to meet us and then escorted us to Tokyo. But before we started I wanted to purchase a camera. Yasuko even helped with the purchase! We then set off on our tour and visited the main shrines and temples, these alone were truly inspiring. We managed to cover quite a large area using the train and water boats .This would have taken us longer if we didn’t have Yasuko. The whole day was truly fabulous, this was down to Yasuko. A million thanks for a very nice day.
Karl and Janette, thank you for your writing review about my tour. I am so happy you two enjoyed visiting Tokyo with me. It took a little time to buy your camera, but I hope you will take lots of beautiful pictures with around Japan. And also enjoy wearing kimono you bought in Omotesando for relaxing and good memory for you. Special thanks for you and have a safe trip in Japan.
Have clear what interests you, and Yasuko will work out a route for you. We visited a really nice sake brewery that is a must if you go in that direction, and despite the cloud covering Mt Fuji, we really enjoyed the day with her - and she gave us some really nice photos of our ship arriving in Shimizu with Fuji-san in the background!
Dear Barry, thank you for reviewing about fujinomiya tour. I'm really happy that you did enjoyed visiting takasago sake brewery. That's the one small barrel made of straw your wife couldn't buy. I advised the staff in the brewery to make the souvenir not sake in it. I had a much fun with you. Thank you so much.
