“ Very good guide and very good interesting explainings ”

Our best wishes for the great job Toshijo did in the six hours of our trip around the interesting places of Kyoto, always taking a view on the different speed-steps one of us could go caused by somme personal medical reasons by a neurological handicap. Explaining and talks were interesting and friendly. We would do the same again when coming another time to this place. All the best for Toshiyo and the team.

“ Seeing Kyoto on public transport ”

For the five days that we spent together, Toshiyo was good company and a pleasant travelling companion. She made my visit to Kyoto an enjoyable one. She guided me well through the challenges of the city's trains and buses to reach the places that I had already told her I wanted to see. In this way, with her help, I made the very best use of my limited time. Toshiyo was very helpful in rearranging parts of my proposed program to make more efficient use of that limited time. She herself suggested additions to my plans which added to my enjoyment. The unforeseen always happens and when it did she was able quickly to make necessary changes. Kyoto guides are required to know a great deal about national and local history. Toshiyo showed that she was well informed, but she didn't always display her knowledge in the way that many guides do. When something I saw piqued my interest and I asked her about it, she usually had the answer. We did, however, seem to have a problem of communication: she did not always comprehend my questions and I did not always understand her responses. I know that she has lived in and visited English-speaking countries so I feel that I ought to have done better in allowing and encouraging her to make the sort of contribution that such a working relationship requires and of which, I am sure, she is capable. I would recommend Toshiyo to anyone needing advice on places to visit in Kyoto and help in getting to them without wasting time by getting lost or confused on the buses or in the subway.

“ Highly recommend ”

We had a amazing time seeing kyoto with Toshiyo. Nothing compares to a local travel guide and we were not disappointed. Toshiyo accomodated our needs of travelling with two small children. Would highly recommend her.

“ 5 star guide ????? ”

Toshiyo was fantastic. We had a great time with her. As I was traveling with my husband and children (ages 13,11,10 & 1) I wanted someone to show us around so that we wouldn't get lost or frustrated. We followed her lead and was very happy with our tour. She was very knowledgable of Kyoto's history and extremely considerate of my family. We moved at our own pace and really took in the sights.
