Kon-ni-chi-wa. Hello! I'm Kaori, having lived in Tokyo for 20 years since I got married with a photographer. I'm originally from Shizuoka prefecture which has Mt.Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan.
I took 2 working-holiday-visa stays in my younger days. One is in Toronto, Canada, and another is Australia touring by motorcycle. One year respectively.
I love travel both international and domestic, especially by motorcycle. That's why I love helping individual travelers rather than normal package tours, cause I ,myself, love travel freely.
I love nature, trekking, greenery, cycling and food.
I am a national government licensed guide. So I've got deep knowledge of Japanese culture and history. I really enjoy talking about Japanese way of life with people from different cultures. But I'm so flexible that I don't bother if you're not so interested in.
We see only what you want to see, and talk only what you want to talk about. That's my style. All what you want is my choice. If you don't know what to want, I can help you with that.
I'm outgoing,(but organized well), very easy to get along with anybody, including small kids to teenagers.
I can't wait to see you soon!

I spent a short four hours trip with Kaori, the time was limited and trip was compact, but she made it possible to see a lot in downtown Tokyo. It was my second visit in Tokyo, she brought me to see Japanese Garden and sky view of Tokyo Bay, as well fish market. We end up with a delightful seafood lunch at fish market, it was helpful Kaori could translate all Japanese menu In English. Throughout our chat, I know Kaori also has guiding experience in Tokyo surrounding prefectures, she is enthusiastic in nature sightseeing. I will definitely joint her next time, to explore more about great Tokyo.
Thank you for the kindest comment on our half day tour and me. I'm glad you enjoyed Japanese garden with double‐flowered cherry blossoms and Tsukiji seafood lunch, especially sea-urchin! I wish we could have more time together. I'd love to take you to Hakone or foot of Mt.fuji area. Or maybe local railway in Chiba prefecture as you're interested in unmanned stations in suburbs. I'm looking forward to your coming back to Japan and spend sometime in outside Tokyo next time. See you soon! Kaori
She had sent us an email a few days before our tour with instructions for the train ticket clerk written in Japanese as to what kind of tickets we needed. She met us at the station platform when the train arrived in Tokyo. We had a wonderful tour of the Imperial Gardens, Asakusa and Shibuya-Ku crossing. Kaori was so pleasant, informative and thoughtful to us three middle aged women who did not speak Japanese. She spoke English very well so the tour was enjoyable! Wish we had more days to spend!
Thank you for giving me the warmest comment for me, Cynthia-san. I'm happy we had a really beautiful day to walk around the Imperial Gardens with a lot of new greens and beautiful flowers come out. I also feel relieved to know my instructions helped you to get prompt tickets to get to Tokyo. Talking with all three of you was really enjoyable for me too. I truly admire your relations, being 35 years friendship! I wish we had more days together and see us again. Take care. Hugs and Kisses, Kaori
I had such a good experience with Kaori. I recommend her strongly. She is very nice, friendly, she speak and understand English. She even helped me to find a better hotel and get refund from the previous one. I will book her again.
Thank you for your great review and even confirm that you're going to book me again! That's more than the best I can get. And I'm relieved we could find better hotel with air-circulation cause it seemed to mean a lot for you. Surely we have a lot more to explore together in Tokyo and surroundings. Looking forward to your coming back to Japan in autumn. See you then! Hugs and Kisses, Kaori
Kaori, I couldn't ask for a more perfect experience exploring Japan with you. I cannot wait to come back and do more tours with you and take lots more photos together of course!! 😬
Thank you for giving me super nice comment on my tour, Judy-san. As we spent 3 days in Mt.Fuji and Tokyo area, we've got all lucky days. I'm happy you had the best timing for Sakura cherry blossoms in Tokyo area and enjoyed them the fullest. You amazed me to show how you take pictures beautifully and artistically. Your Angle is special. Japan has a lot more to catch. Cannot wait to see you again near future! Hugs and kisses, Kaori
We were travelling with our 15-yr old grandson and Kaori exceeded all our expectations! We had an absolutely packed 1.5 days (walked about 25 km!) and saw Tokyo highlights that appealed to both generations. Kaori did an amazing job of navigating the hugely complicated metro system as we made our way to our destinations. She provided a detailed itinerary but accommodated any last minute changes. Kaori also accompanied us to the Tokyo Rail Station to help us find the right platform for our bullet train to Kyoto. A+++ rating!!! Cannot thank her enough!
Thank you for giving me such a super nice comment on me even when you're still on holiday in Japan. I'm really happy to hear you enjoyed walking with me. I tried to put as much as possible as you requested, modern for first day for your grandson and the half day for traditional and quiet for you and grandparents generation. I was amazed by your strength. Walking 2 hours in early morning before you met me! Outstanding! You both are super grandparents to take your 15-yr grandson abroad by yourselves. I hope you keep enjoying Japan trip in safe. Hugs and kisses, Kaori
