Hi everyone! My name is Lisa.
Thank you very much for checking out my profile.
I am originally from Osaka, Japan, and completed my Bachelor’s Degree from Kyoto Prefecture University in architecture. During my stay in Kyoto I volunteered as a tour guide for foreign visitors.
After graduation I moved to Tokyo and worked in the marketing and promotions field. On weekends I continued to work as a tour guide volunteer in Tokyo.
I have also studied at the University of California, Irvine and worked for a tech company in Anaheim California. It was great oppotuniay for me to see Japan from foreigner's perspective.
My happiness for meeting new people and learning my own culture through guiding foreign visitors kept increasing and that made me decide to become a professional tour guide.
I offer tailor-made tours for individuals or groups. I have met a lot of wonderful people through tour guiding and look forward to the many more friends I will make.
My strength is the stock of Japan's historical and architectural knowledge, which I believe makes your Japan experience fun and interesting especially when you are visiting Japan's old capitals.
During my tour I will share with you historical contents of places or structures you are visiting so that you can understand the reason why you meet present Japan. I have friendly and mindful nature which will make your Japan experience greater!
Please feel free to message me if you have any question about your Japan trip!
Hope to see you soon in my tour.

Had an absolutely lovely day with Lisa! An adorable and very communicative person with excellent English skills. She is very knowledgeable in all aspects of Japan be it history, culture, cuisine or customs and also interested in your culture and background. So, apart from a great lesson in so many Japanese things and a tour of Kyoto it was equally also a wonderful cultural exchange. I highly recommend Lisa and will of course also book her in the future! Many thanks Lisa! Isabelle
Hi Isabelle, thank you so much for your kind review! Yes I had a great time with you and was so impressed by your deep insight into your culture and home country. I could learn a lot, thank you so much! Also your artistic photo shooting was amazingly beautiful. Please keep in touch and I will wait for your next trip to Kyoto!
Unfortunately our trip got canceled due to the typhoon Jebi and our flight got canceled and couldn't also reach by other means to Kyoto from Osaka.she was all along coordinating with us for our safety and put herself into her safety second by waiting for us in Osaka airport during the typhoon. It is very hard to find a guide who respects her work and has higher standards in terms of her customer service. She is not only our guide now and became our highly respected friend who went the extra mile for us. she has excellent communication skills and speaks very fluent English.
Hi VJ, thank you very much for your kind review! It was unexpected trip to Tokyo instead of Kyoto but I had a wonderful time with you and Suni. I really appreciate you two being so flexible for the change of our tour itinerary that coused by the damage of the typhoon. I was so happy to see you guys enjoying shopping and Japanese food. Please keep in touch and I will wait for your visit to Kyoto in the future!
Lisa was very polite, punctual and overall very friendly. Thank you Lisa for being courteous and entertaining while showing me around despite having time only for a short tour. I enjoyed seeing the temples and gates especially since it was my first time in Japan. Hope to keep in touch. Thanks Lisa!
I dont know where to start with Lisa! She really went out of her way to ease my stress during our trip. My mother forgot her insulin back home and really needed her meds during our trip. Lisa did not give up, phone call after phone call trying to find my mother her meds; after 4hrs she succeeded. Lisa made everything smooth for us, from helping out with directions to Kyoto, to making herself available even when done with our tour. She was extremely patient with my little sister and took us to all the places we requested. I HIGHLY recommend Lisa to all that plan to visit Japan. She's a total SWEETHEART!
Reserved a day tour with Lisa to experience efficiently the places that the locals go to and that we did! So off to the highlights. The day started off visiting Tsutaya in Daikanyama, a bookstore from yesteryear with a cafe and a Starbucks (surprised?) housed in one place but not under one roof. Then to Omotesando to see the architectural buildings from the 1980s to the present, including the highly photographed Tod's and Prada buildings. Would be remissed if mention was not made about a visit to a Roku Moku shop, which served delicate, light and flavorful dessert. In the States we can only buy their packaged goodies so this was a super special treat. Thanks Lisa for making a yummy stop here. A short walking distance from there is the Meiji Shrine. And on this day there were C... read more
