Hi everyone! My name is Lisa.
Thank you very much for checking out my profile.
I am originally from Osaka, Japan, and completed my Bachelor’s Degree from Kyoto Prefecture University in architecture. During my stay in Kyoto I volunteered as a tour guide for foreign visitors.
After graduation I moved to Tokyo and worked in the marketing and promotions field. On weekends I continued to work as a tour guide volunteer in Tokyo.
I have also studied at the University of California, Irvine and worked for a tech company in Anaheim California. It was great oppotuniay for me to see Japan from foreigner's perspective.
My happiness for meeting new people and learning my own culture through guiding foreign visitors kept increasing and that made me decide to become a professional tour guide.
I offer tailor-made tours for individuals or groups. I have met a lot of wonderful people through tour guiding and look forward to the many more friends I will make.
My strength is the stock of Japan's historical and architectural knowledge, which I believe makes your Japan experience fun and interesting especially when you are visiting Japan's old capitals.
During my tour I will share with you historical contents of places or structures you are visiting so that you can understand the reason why you meet present Japan. I have friendly and mindful nature which will make your Japan experience greater!
Please feel free to message me if you have any question about your Japan trip!
Hope to see you soon in my tour.

Lisa was very polite, punctual and overall very friendly. Thank you Lisa for being courteous and entertaining while showing me around despite having time only for a short tour. I enjoyed seeing the temples and gates especially since it was my first time in Japan. Hope to keep in touch. Thanks Lisa!
I dont know where to start with Lisa! She really went out of her way to ease my stress during our trip. My mother forgot her insulin back home and really needed her meds during our trip. Lisa did not give up, phone call after phone call trying to find my mother her meds; after 4hrs she succeeded. Lisa made everything smooth for us, from helping out with directions to Kyoto, to making herself available even when done with our tour. She was extremely patient with my little sister and took us to all the places we requested. I HIGHLY recommend Lisa to all that plan to visit Japan. She's a total SWEETHEART!
Reserved a day tour with Lisa to experience efficiently the places that the locals go to and that we did! So off to the highlights. The day started off visiting Tsutaya in Daikanyama, a bookstore from yesteryear with a cafe and a Starbucks (surprised?) housed in one place but not under one roof. Then to Omotesando to see the architectural buildings from the 1980s to the present, including the highly photographed Tod's and Prada buildings. Would be remissed if mention was not made about a visit to a Roku Moku shop, which served delicate, light and flavorful dessert. In the States we can only buy their packaged goodies so this was a super special treat. Thanks Lisa for making a yummy stop here. A short walking distance from there is the Meiji Shrine. And on this day there were Coming of Age Day, a national holiday, celebrations. Men and women turning twenty this year wear traditional clothing to commentate their once-in-a-lifetime event. A sight to see which Lisa made sure we did by checking ahead of time where the festivities would be held. Again kudos to Lisa this time for being thorough and making sure we saw a bunch of happy twenty year olds! To conclude the day we went to a neighborhood in Western Tokyo to have a cup of coffee serving products from carefully selected farms throughout the world. There is grid indicating how the coffee would taste from bitter to robust and from mild to strong, but don't quote me on that as it has been a few weeks... Had a great time with Lisa as the time went by quickly and *******ted about many things. Next time in Tokyo I would definitely ask Lisa to be guide to see the places that the guidebooks do not cover.
I did enough research to learn that it took a bit of time to pair up with an English speaking local around my age since I wanted to do a combination of touristy & local spots that I was interested in + private tour for a single traveler. So glad I found Lisa thru TripleLights! She has a flair of trying to get to know her clients well enough to try to tailor her tour to their liking as much as possible. I booked a full day & half-day (night tour) with Lisa. Worth the cost for both. Enjoyed every bit of it.
Lisa was Awesome!!!! We are a family of 7; including a grandma and 3 children ages 13,11, and 6. She speaks excellent English, extremely kind and thoughtful, and hard working throughout in making sure we are comfortable and flexible with the itinerary. She explained the history and architecture of the different places we went, and taught us much about the Japanese culture. Having Lisa with us enriched our experience and she took care of us with all the ticketing and introduced us to different places to eat and made sure I would be okay with my food allergies. She has a friendly and warm personality so we liked her instantly. She bonded with all is us. Everyone in our group loved having Lisa, and we are sad to have to say goodbye! These are the places we went to: Tokyo Disney Sea, Shinkansen ride to / from Kyoto, Kyoto Golden Pavilion, Nishiki Market, Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, Tenruji Temple, Arashiyama River/Bridge, shopping/dining at Isetan department store. Toei Movie Studios park. We had an amazing time and having Lisa made all the difference! We highly recommend Lisa to all!!! Next time we go to Japan, or any of our family and friends, we will tell them to book with Lisa!
