Hello! I am Nobuko. Call me Nobu. I am a national licensed tour guide. I used to work in a publishing company as a book editor for 23 years. I was born and raised in Tokyo. I live in Tokyo with my family. I make it a point to update myself with what's new in Tokyo and in cities outside of it like Hakone, Kamakura and so on.
I love pottery making. I like to appreciate Japanese antique artworks like ceramics, lacquerwares, woven fabrics, ukiyoe, and Buddhist statues. I have visited India, Dubai, Thailand, Tahiti, Turkey, Greece, England, Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Italy, France, Bergen, U.S.A, Australia, etc. As a well traveled person, I would like to guide you like a friend in a relaxed atmosphere. I take pleasure in communicating with various people from different cultures.
I am flexible to adjusting to your requests. Feel free to ask me about anything. I look forward to creating wonderful memories of Japan with you. See you soon!

We had a fantastic tour with Nobu. From the very start of the booking Nobu was extremely responsive via messages, giving a great option for our itinerary. We were a group of four siblings and highlights were fish market and Meiji shrine. In addition, Nobu was extremely helpful navigating us around the metro line which we could then use for other days of our stay. The best part of the day was Nobu’s suggestion of a sushi lunch, in an intimate 9 seater restaurant in Ginza. The sushi master was amazing!! Thank you Nobu and we would highly recommend her to anyone else!!!
Dear Simon, Thank you for your fantastic review! I am so glad to know you enjoyed the tour. and like the sushi restaurant. I also enjoyed it with you even though it was short time. I would like to guide you longer time next time. And I can show you many good restautants again. So please come to Tokyo again! I am looking forward to seeing you. Please give my best regards to Alex, Patrick and Helen.
Nobuko helped us with our first day in Tokyo, including obtaining IC cards for trains. We also visited a couple of places thereafter with her as our guide. She is a great host and highly recommended. Her service is next level! Well done and thank you Nobuku!!
Dear Louis, Thank you for your great review! Even though our tour was very short, I really enjoyed the time with all of you on September 19. All of you were so interesting ! Could you find the way to stadiums easily on September 20 and 21 without any problems ? I am sorry that South African team lost the match unfortunately , but I hope you enjoyed the rest of the days in Tokyo. And I hope you will come to Japan again. I would like to guide more places next time. See you ! Best regards, Nobuko
I booked Nobuko last minute for my family last Monday. My family had only good words for her. She was very accommodating and knowledgeable. She even taught my sister how to buy subway tickets going back to hotel. I would recommend her to my friends!
Dear Ann, Thank you so much for your warmful review! i am very happy to know your family enjoyed the tour yesterday. Even though the tour time was only 4 hours, I also enjoyed the tour with them very much. They were nice persons.I hope I can guide them longer time if they come to Japan again. Please send my best tegards to Janeth, Jonie, Soledad and Johnny!
My wife and I had the pleasure of spending a fantastic day with Nobuko in Tokyo in early September. The entire day was simply outstanding from start to finish. Nobuko's manner and professionalism is only matched by her knowledge and passion for the city. Nobuko organised a personal itinerary that covered all of our main interests as well as making some brilliant suggestion for our other days in Tokyo. A guide in Tokyo is a great way to get around and I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Nobuko's services. Thank you Nobuko and thank you Tokyo !
Dear Damian and Fiona, Thank you so much for your hearty messages. I am happy to know you have enjoyed Tokyo very much ! I also enjoyed the time with you. It made me remember the memory of visiting Dublin many years ago. Please come to Tokyo again. I will show you more deep & hidden places and my favorite shops in Tokyo next time. I am looking forward to seeing you again ! Best regards , Nobuko
Greatly enjoyed the itinerary Nobu arranged for us. Gave us many options and detailed information about how to do others at a later date. Her care for three elderly clients extended to ensuring we had seats on the metro.
Dear Michael, Thank you for your warm review. I am very happy to know you enjoyed our tour. Especially, the fire ritual of Fukagawa Fudoson Temple was so sacred, was'nt it ? I was a little bit sory that the tour was for only 4 hours. I wanted to show you more interesting places in Tokyo. Please gime my best regards to your families and stay longer time in Tokyo next time!
