Hello! I am Nobuko. Call me Nobu. I am a national licensed tour guide. I used to work in a publishing company as a book editor for 23 years. I was born and raised in Tokyo. I live in Tokyo with my family. I make it a point to update myself with what's new in Tokyo and in cities outside of it like Hakone, Kamakura and so on.
I love pottery making. I like to appreciate Japanese antique artworks like ceramics, lacquerwares, woven fabrics, ukiyoe, and Buddhist statues. I have visited India, Dubai, Thailand, Tahiti, Turkey, Greece, England, Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Italy, France, Bergen, U.S.A, Australia, etc. As a well traveled person, I would like to guide you like a friend in a relaxed atmosphere. I take pleasure in communicating with various people from different cultures.
I am flexible to adjusting to your requests. Feel free to ask me about anything. I look forward to creating wonderful memories of Japan with you. See you soon!

We had a great day with Nobu. I was visiting Tokyo with 2 of my children and we wanted to get a feel for the culture of Japan and eat some great food. We walked (and used the trains)all over the city, it was a busy, informative and delicious day. Nobu was sweet and kind and we were very happy to have her as our guide.
Dear Richard, Thank you for your wonderful review! Even though it was a rainy day yesterday, I enjoyed the tour and talking with you, Alix and Jack very much. And I was so happy to know you found many virtues of Japanese cultures. I hope you will enjoy the rest of days in Tokyo and Kyoto including taking of Shinkansen . Please come to Tokyo again in the future, because I would like to take you to a sumo stable! And please give my best regards to Alix and Jack. See you!
Our day tour of Tokyo with Nobuko was excellent. She was very kind and pleasant and knew exactly what areas of the city to visit. She was very knowledgeable of the train system an very efficient getting around. Thank you Nobuko!!!
Dear William, Thank you for your great review ! I am happy to know all of you enjoyed staying in Tokyo. And I enjoyed the tour with you. Especially visting Ghibri museum was the first time for me too, It became my wonderful memory. Thank you for giving me a good experience. By the way, how did you like Kyoto? I hope all of you also enjoyed many frugal sites and various local foods in Kyoto. See you next time!
She was knowledgeable and flexible throughout the day. She went out of her way to make the day interesting and fun. She listened.
Dear Ken & Dale, Thank you for your wonderful review ! I enjoyed the tour with you yesterday very much. Especially, I was impressed with your episodes of work and life balance. By the way, I apologize I made you walk a lot so much. Is it OK with your knees today? I hope you arrived at Kyoto without problems today. Please enjoy the most frugal city Kyoto. I hope I can guide you Tokyo again. See you!
Nobuko was great! She is very conscientious and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend her as a guide.
Dear Tim, Thank you for your great review ! Even though one day trip to Hiroshima was so busy, it was very meaningful for me, too. I have learned a lot from visiting of memorial sites. Besides, I was impressed with the beauty of Itsukushima Shrine. I appreciate you gave me so precious experiences indeed. I hope I can guide you Tokyo next time !
My son and I visited Tokyo for a few days, and decided to use one of them with a guide. We were very pleased to have chosen Nobuko out of all the guides available. She is a very knowlegdable, orgainized, and kind person. She laid out the perfect day for us. We wanted to see an overview of Tokyo and she delivered. She took us to parks, temples, and a lunch that we wouldn't have enjoyed without her help. Nobuko was able to help us with our bullit train reservation, which would have been much more difficult without her help. We just felt that we were lucky to get her, as she is an in demand guide. If she's available, I'd use her without question. Nobuko, thank you for a wonderful day.
Hello Dale, Thank you very much for your warm review. It encouraged me very much. And I am so happy to know you and Jonathan enjoyed the tour on Jun 3. Of course, I enjoyed it to too! However, we walked a lot indeed, so you must have been tired. Besides, I really hope you could view Mt. Fuji from a bullet train to Sendai, even though it was cloudy on Jun 4. It was a very short trip for you this time, so please stay longer in Tokyo next time. I am looking forward to guiding you again in the future. Please send my best regards to Jonathan. Nlobuko
