Hi! I'm Yoshi.
I am a National Government Licenced Guide Interpreter.
Since I was born in Tokyo, near Asakusa, the famous tourist spot, and I now live in Yokohama, I am very familiar with many sightseeing spots and attractions of Tokyo and Kanagawa area.
I used to live in California in the states, as a graduate student at UCLA and Stanford University, so I speak natural American English.0
I used be a CEO of an internet company, dealing business with many foreign companies of the US, European countries and Asian countries. Therefore, I know your culture!
I can explain Japanese culture, by comparing them with yours.
Of course, I can guide you to the popular spots, like Asakusa, the Imperial palace, Meiji shrine, Shinjuku, and Shibuya. But also I can take you to some secret places, which nobody knows, like a hidden temple in a dungeon.
Please contact me.
See you soon!

Having Yoshi guide us through Ghibli museum made the visit very pleasant to us as many of the descriptions are in Japanese. Special exhibition especially was interesting and we would have not gotten as much out of it without Yoshi translating descriptions. He has great personality and language skills are top. Guidance to the museum and back were at leisurely pace and additional information about local culture given during the tour was insightful. Highly recommend hiring Yoshi!
Thank you, Matti. I actually enjoyed myself with the new exhibition, while translating it for you. I and my wife love Moomin!
Yoshi was terrific. He had a tremendous style and it was fun to have a mature man that knew everything about Tokyo take us everywhere. He knew everything and was quite the expert at the subway and transportation. We really enjoyed his personality and had a lot of fun with him.
Thank you, Stanton. I also enjoyed spending a wonderful day with you. Although it started raining in the afternoon, we could share some serene time. Thanks again.
We had a great day with Yoshi. He was very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. The best thing was that Yoshi was very flexible and tailored the day to what interested us most.
Andrew, I had a wonderful day with you, too. Thank you!
There are 13 million people in Tokyo. I have no idea how many guides there are in that figure, but I DO know, I got the best man for me, to be my guide. I chose him from his video on the TRIPLELIGHTS site. He spoke English perfectly. Sadly, he was only available for one day during my 4 day visit to Tokyo. I told him what I wanted to see in my limited time. Noodles and sushi being the number two things. lol. He put together a tour for me tailored to what I wanted to do. It was perfect. Yoshi met me at my hotel, we sat and discussed what would be our plan due to the rain. Nothing stopped us. We soldiered on. He showed me how to use the train system such that the one other day, when he was not available, I was able to run around town on my own and never a problem. He is good... read more
Thank you, Bryan. I myself enjoyed showing my home town. I am glad to know that you enjoyed everyday Tokyo life, despite a rainy day. There are a lot of interesting places other than touristy spots in Tokyo. Please come back!
