About

Hello, I’m Kazuhiko Goto. Please call me “Kazu”. I'm a national-licensed tour guide. I have a wife and 4 children.

I was born in Osaka city near Kyoto, although I have lived in many places across Japan. I used to work for multinational electric company and I traveled to many countries (U.S., Thailand, Hong Kong etc.) on business.

I have enjoyed guiding many foreign tourists in Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Hiroshima, Tokyo, Mt. Fuji etc. for many years.

During your tour, you can discover a rich Japanese history spanning about 2,000 years, learn about and experience profound Japanese arts (tea ceremony, flower arrangement etc.), feel the spiritual atmosphere of Buddhist temples or Shinto shrines, see a breathtakingly beautiful scenery of Mt. Fuji, bamboo forest, Japanese gardens etc..
Moreover, you can taste Japanese cuisine that each season has to offer (Sushi, Tempura, Soba or ramen noodle etc.).
You can get close to nature and feed wild deer or monkeys or even a build snowman in winter.

I’m sure that I can provide a splendid tour of Japan that will be a lasting memory for you to treasure.

Experience the mysteries of Japan with 5 senses !!
Your memorable tour awaits you.

Please feel free to contact me!!

“ A Great Day Out In Osaka ”

Eight of us had an excellent day in Osaka with Kazuhiko who was a delight to be with. He was very informative and kept the day interesting and adapted our day as required. His English was good and his knowledge was excellent. He tailored a tour for our needs. We meet at our Hotel and we visited Sumiyoshi Shinto Shrine which was fascinating, then Osaka Castle where we saw Martial Arts competition, a good look round the Castle grounds and learned a lot about the History which Kazuhiko was very knowledge and interesting. We traveled by train between venues and which made it so much easier for us as he knew his way round. After our choice of lunch (sushi) we moved on to Kuromon Market for a tour. We found this experience an eye opener (in a nice way) with the amount of foods available and ... read more

Kazuhiko:

Dear Mr. Brian I appreciate your feedback. I’m very pleased that your nice group enjoyed their tour. I had great time as well showing your group around Osaka. We went to Sumiyoshi Shinto Shrine. You found 3 pebbles which will give you 5 big power (Longevity, Happiness, Physical, Wisdom and Financial). Moreover, you lifted up stone. I hope that your wish come true. And, you have known how to purify your body before visiting Shrine or Temple and you have known how to pray at a shrine. I hope that it was nice experience. At Osaka Castle which was the strongest fortress, you saw huge stones, castle tower etc., and you saw traditional martial arts called "Kendo" which students practiced. At Doutonbori area, you took nice pictures in front of most famous advertising of "Glico... read more

“ A day out in Kyoto ”

Kazuhiko was charming and engaging, he was well prepared and had lots of options for us. We would recommend taking taxis around Kyoto or you will spend a disproportionate amount of time on buses as the sights are located a fair distance from each other. There was lots to take in but we saw all the main sites, Imperial Palace, Kinkaku-ji Temple, Fushimi Inari Shrine and some ceramic shopping. He could have not been more helpful generally, and we would certainly recommend him.

Kazuhiko:

Dear Mr. Mark I appreciate your feedback. I’m very pleased that your nice couple enjoyed your tour. I had great time as well showing your couple around Kyoto. In order to save time, I made you walk quickly, and you spent much taxi charge. Sorry!! We visit Imperial Palace, Kinkaku-ji Temple, Fushimi Inari Shrine and ceramic center, Moreover, you were able to see Japanese wedding at Yasaka Shinto Shrine by chance. I sincerely hope this experience was memorable and you visit Japan again and if so I would be glad to guide you again. Thank you!! Please enjoy your tour in Japan!! Best regards, Kazuhiko Goto
