I was born in Fukui Prefecture and was raised in several places, such as Tokyo, Yokohama, Kobe, Osaka, and Nagoya.
After the experience of working for a mechanical company in Yokohama, I moved to China to learn their culture.
I worked as a Japanese teacher to foreigners in Shanghai.
The longer I lived abroad, the more I came to appreciate the unique aspects of Japanese culture. So I started learning English and Chinese to become a bridge to help bring foreign visitors closer to Japanese culture.
I would be horored to be your guide as you tour our historically rich country. I am looking forward to traveling Japan with you. Thank you.

Maru is a great guide with a lot of knowledge of the sights and sounds in Tokyo. She listened to our interests and needs and was able to customize our day to maximize our experience. I would definitely hire her during our next trip to Tokyo.
When staying at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel we wanted to experience the traditional and modern Japanese culture around the Harajuku area and Maru was the perfect fit for our day. We began with the Meiji Shrine, strolled down Takeshita Street and ended our day walking across Shibuya Crossing, the world's busiest intersection. Throughout our day Maru would provide background and insight to what we were seeing and talk about daily life in Tokyo, which we compared in our conversations to our home in Colorado. We could not have asked for a better day, I would highly recommend Maru.
To those who are stopping by Triplelights, I welcome you and I hope you enjoy your stay in Japan, and you guys are probably browsing through who is the best tour guide for you. Let me be the first to say that Maru was amazing! She is very friendly and really attentive. Shes interacts with you just like how a friend does. She takes you to the place you want to go to and even askes if there is anywhere you want to go or even want to shop. So if you want to have a great conversation and also see the great hot spots in Tokyo, Maru is definitely the right person. I highly recommend her.
