Hello, my name is Toshiro. You can call me,”Toshi”.
Please let me introduce myself a bit.
I was born in Kyoto, raised in Nagoya and live in Osaka currently. I had a college education in the U.S. and became a media coordinator after I got back to Japan. Media coordinator helps foreign film makers, TV productions, or journalists assisting in such ways as taking care of logistics, setting up interview, location hunting and translating. Some of the coordinator’s tasks are similar to ones a tour guide has to do in order to present a good guiding service.
As a coordinator for media projects, I have traveled extensively throughout Japan, an experience that led me to a greater appreciation for my own country and its people, landscapes, customs, food, and cultures. I would like to share these things with you. I presented some tours around Osaka in my page. If you would like to explore Osaka, Nara, Kyoto or else, please let me know.
In addition to the tours I introduced, just one thing I would like to mention:
There may be some particular things that you want to see or do in Japan. You may be thinking, " I really want to try Zen meditation", or you may say to yourself, "Wouldn't it be wonderful to attend a tea ceremony." or you may think, "If only I could try my hand at Japanese calligraphy." Whatever your wishes to be, all too often hesitations and fears about the language barrier, cultural differences, and a general lack of familiarity with Japan lead you to abandon these dreams. Just let me know what you want to try, to do or to see, if you have a particular thing. I will be very happy to be instrumental to realize your Japan-wish. I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

We found Toshi’s profile and realized he would be a great fit. He understood as Americans we have lots of questions and we like to talk. He was flexible and worked great around our needs and children’s needs. We explained we were going around the world and that the culture is the kids class room. He engaged right away with our kids. The second day we lost 2 and we had to change plans and he was awesome about the change. Very easy going and extremely likable. Would recommend him any time.
Hi Steve-san, Thank you so much for a wonderful review. It was too bad that we could not follow what we planned. It's not fun to feel not well while you travel especially in different culture. Sometimes, taking a rest and having an easy day is important as your family will continue a world trip. I hope you and your children are well by now. Mindy is a great mother of two boys. She takes care of the rest of her family very well. I learned a lot from her by seeing the way she communicates with two boys and you. You can take the boys to the Kyoto Railway Museum, while you are in Kyoto. They have a collection of steam locomotives and different types of trains. I'm sure that they will enjoy very very much. The museum is not far from your hotel. Have a fun time in Kyoto, and take care. ... read more
Toshi was like a friend you meet after long time. He was able to armonize very quick with our family and create a friendly atmosphere. He was very flexible and open for spontaneous changing of the squeduled plans and the communication in English was very good and fluent. We had a very hard time to get along with the high temperatures during the time we were for our first time in Japan, Toshi had a lot of understanding for making stops when needed. timetable planing could be better. We arrived just to late to some places we wanted to see. But he also show us places we did not expected to see. Thank you Toshi
Hi Belen, How are you? It was fun and interesting to visit Kyoto and Nara with you, your partner and children. It had been extremely hot during the whole tour, but it will be very nice memory for them, especially when they get older. Thank you for writing a review on me. Best regards, Toshi
