I'm Kazumi. I am a qualified tour guide.I have been guiding Hiroshima since 2010.
Through guiding Hiroshima, I can give my guests my knowledge of this area and Japanese culture. At the same time, I can learn their understanding of Japan and the differences between our culture and theirs. Which is very interesting. I also believe that meeting with local people is the best way to know the area. I was born and grew up in Hiroshima. I am very happy to give you wonderful time and memories in Hiroshima. I am really looking forward to hearing from you.

We booked a tour of Miyajima and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park/Museum with Kazumi. Kazumi met us at the Hiroshima station transfer gate (we came in from Kyoto by Shinkansen) and then took the train to the ferry to Miyajima. Kazumi was excellent in explaining about the ‘floating’ Torii gate and the Itsukushima Shrine and the resident deer there. We had a pleasant lunch on the island at a delicious Hiroshima style Okonomiyaki restaurant. We all enjoyed the lunch and only wish we had a restaurant like this at home. After lunch, we headed over to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park/Museum and Kazumi explained the sites around the park. It was a somber experience but one I think all should see. Kazumi is a very nice person with excellent english and we all (myself, wife and two sons) enjoyed talking with her. Having Kazumi as our guide was like having a friend take us around the sites. I highly recommend Kazumi.
WE booked Kazumi for 5 hours when our cruise docked at Hiroshima in late May. She was already waiting for us when we disembarked, and did a good job explaining the various sites of the atomic blast in Hiroshima. She then took us to a local restaurant which served Okonomiyaki (fried noodles on hot plate). Thereafter we took a ferry to Miyajima Island, where we strolled along the beach and enjoyed the sights. We had a great time in Hiroshima/Miyajima, thanks to the professional service of Kazumi.. Kazumi is highly responsible, courteous, and knows the local scene very well as she was born and bred in Hiroshima. She also speaks very good English as she has lived abroad for a number of years. I have no hesitation in recommending Kazumi to any future travellers.
