My name is Akira.
I am certified national guide interpreter.
I have been living in Tokyo for more than 30 years.
I love walking in the city with no particular plan finding trasures in the streets such as nice ramen noodle restaurants, cafes, funny billboards, and most of all, narrow alleys that remind me of good old days.
I will help you enjoying the days in the city fully and making your vist memorable one.
I am looking forward to seeing you soon.

Akira did a great job as a tour guide for us when we were in Tokyo. Very knowledgeable and even as we changed the locations and schedule on the day of the event he was very accommodating.
Our guide Akira took us on a memorable tour of the highlights of Japan. Using the Subway we were able to explore many wonderful places. Akira was very knowledgeable and told us many interesting facts about Tokyo and its history. He took us to a local restaurant for lunch. It was one of the highlights of our day. Akira speaks fluent English and he has a warm, happy personality which made him a pleasure to be with.
Akira was a great guide! He went out of his way to amend our tour throughout the day, he advised us on train systems & getting pasmo cards since we were exploring only Tokyo. He took us to one of the best Ramen eatery in shinjuku and helped us find my twin boys toys. My son (11yr old) thoroughly enjoyed the samurai museum, temples, chatting & information on history of Tokyo. Thank you very much Akira, you were wonderful :)
We stayed in Tokyo for an additional three days after our 15 days Asia cruise and booked two days of tours with Akira. The first day was 5 hours and second 7 hours of seeing the top sights. We had an enjoyable time and were able to see the sights, but believe with a little homework probably could have just as easily have done this on our own. Akira, was very prompt at meeting us at our hotel each day and in fact was early each day. Realize that most of the sights are quite a distant apart which required us to take the train everywhere for short visits then back not the train so anticipate spending a lot more money on train fares plus the guide. I think we had a bit of a miss-step on day 2 of our tour when we toured the inner market of the Tsukiji fish market. After viewing literally thousands upon thousands of pounds of tuna and other seafood I asked out guide a few questions about Japanese culture and over-fishing of the seas and he seemed to get a bit offended at this and quickly snapped back. The conversation seemed to get a bit confrontational and I just ended it. While the rest of the trip went well we did not seem to get much history or culture as we had hoped on our tour and came away with the conclusion that short of trying to navigate the subway system the sights can be just as easily visited on your own and you can get just as much out of the visits without a guide. The value of the guide was mostly the navigation part.
It was such a pleasure to be guided by Akira for 3 days in Tokyo. We are 4 senior citizens who wanted to experience as many of the wonderful sights as possible in our limited time. Akira expertly took us through the extensive subway system zipping around town always finding elevators and escalators to spare our vintage knees. We wanted to sample Japanese cuisine and Akira knew the best places for authentic and delicious delights. We learned so much about Japanese culture and history from Akira, he is truly a delightfully knowledgeable & conscientious tour guide. We would not hesitate to recommend him to friends & family visiting Tokyo.
