My name is Akira.
I am certified national guide interpreter.
I have been living in Tokyo for more than 30 years.
I love walking in the city with no particular plan finding trasures in the streets such as nice ramen noodle restaurants, cafes, funny billboards, and most of all, narrow alleys that remind me of good old days.
I will help you enjoying the days in the city fully and making your vist memorable one.
I am looking forward to seeing you soon.

Akira did an amazing job showing us all that we asked. Would highly recommend him.
Dear Vivek, Thank you so much for the great review. It was my pleasure to share the fun time together with happy people like you and your lovely family. See you next time! Sincerely, Akira
My husband and I wanted to see as much as possible of both touristy Tokyo and regular neighborhoods. Akira helped us navigate the metro and packed in more sights than we could have ever found on our own. He explained the history of each area. We really enjoyed an authentic meal in a cozy restaurant unlike any we had seen before. We highly recommend Akira for other first time visitors. We trust him to share more high lights on a second day this week!
Hello Gwendolyn, Thank you so much for the great review. I am very happy that you had a great time that day and hoping that it gave you a good first lesson to explore this city by yourself. On the next time, I am looking forward to hearing about your discovery you would have during your solo flights. See you then! Sincerely, Akira
We had a great time. Akira catered to our needs really well. His suggestions for ice-cream stop, snack and dinner were superb. We enjoyed the Shibuya crossing and the story behind the dog Hachiko and other such gems along our various destination points in our itinerary. Akira is a courteous, kind and friendly guide.
Dear Catherine, Thank you so much for the great review. Yes, indeed, we had a great time that day. Wondering in unique Nakano Broadway, taking a rest at my favorite coffee shop, observing amazing human flow at Shibuya crossing, enjoying ice cream and good Katsu-Curry at local restaurant..... I hope those wonderful time that we shared made a good introduction to my loving city. I am wishing that you will have a great time for the rest of the days in Japan. See you next time! Sincerely, Akira
We liked our tour very much. Akira was prompt, knowledgable, and friendly. Our tour was geared for a more local perspective, which is what we asked for. He covered a lot of areas of Tokyo, from the local fish markets, to the common peoples neighborhoods, and shrines, to the high end shopping districts. He showed us how to use and load our Suica cards, and to use the trains and subways efficiently. He was invaluable. Thanks so much Akira!
Dear Colleen, Thank you so much for the great review, I was very happy to be a guide for your very first full day experience in Japan, the first Asian country for you and your wonderful son with brightest future. I hope the tour made a good introduction of Tokyo and it will help you knowing more about my loving city and people. Sincerely, Akira
We had two wonderful days with Akira guiding us around in Tokyo on 21 and 23 Jun. I was in Tokyo with my 90-year old mum, my friend whose mum is 77 years old. Due to their age we brought wheelchairs to facilitate them in the sight-seeing. The itinerary was well planned and we didn't feel rushed or hurried when touring. Akira was thoughtful and he planned trip at a very good pace for us. He bought us to places where we could view old residential places which were very interesting. On our first day, the itinerary was to end the tour at a Hinode Pier at 4.00 pm so that we can go to Tennodai Station by 6.00 pm. The train was crowded and a few transfers of trains were needed before we could proceed to Tennodai Station. Instead of parting with us at Hinode Pier, Akira fetched us to Hino... read more
Dear Jean, Thank you very much for the great review. I am very happy that you enjoyed the tours. At first, I was little worry that if Po Pos will be okay with this walking tour using public transportations. However, everything went very smooth and I am very glad that we all were able to have a great time. It was my pleasure to guide happy, jolly, curious and warm people like you, Evelyn, and "Po Po"s. Throughout the tours, you all made me feel positive about being aged, and I learned a lot through our conversations, observing how you treat people. I am looking forward to another chance to explore my loving city together again. 再会！ Akira P.S. Thank you so much for the offertories which has been thought often as a sign of insult in Japan by many tourists. Now you know they... read more
