My name is Akira.
I am certified national guide interpreter.
I have been living in Tokyo for more than 30 years.
I love walking in the city with no particular plan finding trasures in the streets such as nice ramen noodle restaurants, cafes, funny billboards, and most of all, narrow alleys that remind me of good old days.
I will help you enjoying the days in the city fully and making your vist memorable one.
I am looking forward to seeing you soon.

I gave one of the tours of Akira to my son as a birthday present, as he was to travel to Tokyo soon after his birthday. And my son told me that he really liked the tour and he was very enthusiastic about it. The tour was custom made by Akira for my son and they went to go see a lot of different things during the day. Akira explained a lot of things, for example about how to travel the metro, the difference between buddhism and shintoism, and about Japanese custums, My son also very much liked the lunch at the okonomiyaki restaurant, and visiting the tempel. I'm very glad I chose Akira for this tour, and would happily do it again in the future. Akira was also very attentive about communication, and was very polite. Absolutely a great tour guide!
I engaged Akira-san to guide me for 7 hours during a Monday on my very first trip to Japan. He far exceeded all expectations in giving give me a great overview of Tokyo highlights as well as navigate the Metro. I will absolutely engage Akira-san again when I next visit to get more in-depth tours os specific sights. Thank you Akira-san for the great conversation, company, insights and a gentle introduction to Japan.
Akira was an exceptional tour guid. We used him for two full days. We visited numerous points throughout Toyko. He was extremely flexible, especially when we had decided to make some last minute changes along the way. He also took us to some very unique, locals only places, that we likely would have never expericed had we done things on our own. Thanks to Akira we were able to make the best use of our time in Tokyo. Akira is a great ambassador to his nation and does a more than sufficant job of explaining everything in great deatail. You will not be disappointed if you use him as your guid.
We had a day you’re with Akira in Nov 17. Akira is a fantastic guide, fluent in English, very knowledgeable of Tokyo, Japanese customs and traditions, and Local history. He met us at our hotel on time and organised a great introduction to Tokyo tour for a full day. I would happily do another tour with Akira and would recommend him to others. We are a family with two teenage children from Australia and only speak English.
We had the best day in Tokyo with Akira! We only had two full days here, so I wanted to see as much as I could in a short time. I definitely recommend one of these tours if you are pressed for time, or even if you aren’t! On our tour, we took the train to Asakusa, Akihabara, Meiji Shrine, and Harajuku. We stopped at a rabbit cafe and a really good ramen restaurant in Akihabara. Akira was very flexible, patient and was willing to take us wherever we wanted to go. He answered all of our many questions about Japanese culture and pretty much anything else we could think of. We never felt awkward or uncomfortable, and the conversation flowed so nicely all day. Harajuku was the last stop, and he was so patient while my daughter was shopping. We talked and laughed the whole time, and It felt like we were with a friend rather than a guide. It was hard to say goodbye, and I can’t even say enough good things about him! When we come back to Tokyo, I want to look him up and hang out with him again! I highly recommend him, and this website for great, friendly guides.
