My name is Akira.
I am certified national guide interpreter.
I have been living in Tokyo for more than 30 years.
I love walking in the city with no particular plan finding trasures in the streets such as nice ramen noodle restaurants, cafes, funny billboards, and most of all, narrow alleys that remind me of good old days.
I will help you enjoying the days in the city fully and making your vist memorable one.
I am looking forward to seeing you soon.

Akira san is super friendly and does everything to make your tour comfortable. He fulfills your wishes and responds to changes quickly. He is well prepared. He is calm and friendly. I enjoyed also his knowledge about the culture and was happy to receive his translation service. It was a long, exhausting but wonderful half day tour in Tokyo!
Dear Anne, Thank you so much for great review. I am very happy that you enjoyed the day with me. It was a fun day. Well, we lost the bet at our first destination, but we had unexpected present from “the master.” I am sure you enjoyed the taste of Yokozuna....! I can easily imagine that the rest of your trip has been good and enjoyable one because you are lucky lady, and I know that it all not because of your luck, but because of your being generous and your happy vibes. I hope there will be another chance to explore my loving city together. Sincerely, Akira
We enjoyed a great two days in Tokyo with Akira! We spent one day on the East side of Tokyo and one day on the West side of Tokyo. We were able to see all that was promised and more! He took us to all of the places on our itineraries, and when we had extra time, he filled it in with more fun! Akira spoke English fluently and was very easy to understand, and was knowledgeable about the sites and neighborhoods he was showing us. Akira was so efficient with public transportation, and really utilized our JR and subway passes so we did not have to spend additional money. Akira was so thoughtful, he even brought me a birthday present the second day of our tours. My husband and I really enjoyed working with Akira!
Hello Ann, Thank you so much for the great review. I did enjoy that 2 days and I am so happy that you felt the same way. It was my pleasure to guide wonderful young couple like you and Will and it was so much fun for me to have conversation with you answering numerous question that brought me a chance to see my society from different angle. I can easily imagine that the rest of the trip in Japan went well and people were helpful because your warm, kind and curious personality and I am hoping that my guess was right. I am looking forward to another chance to explore my loving city together. Sincerely, Akira PS. I am happy that you liked the Soup Curry in Shimokitazawa.
We had one day in Tokyo and hired Akira to hit the highlights for us. He picked us up from the cruise terminal and took us to Skytree, Asakusa Temple, found us a nice ramen place for lunch, and followed it up with a trip to the Edo Museum. These 3 sights gave us a good overview of Tokyo. He was knowledgeable and easy to understand. Unfortunately the Imperial Gardens were closed that day so we didn’t see them as planned. I wish Akira would have known that ahead of time, but the rest of the day was pretty full and we probably wouldn’t have spent much time there anyway.
Dear Cindy, Thank you so much for the great review. I am very sorry about the closing of the garden that day. Normally they open on Saturday but I should have known that the schedule was affected by enthronement of the new enperor. However, I am glad you could get a glimpse of the capital city, with unusual crowds and happy atmosphere celebrating the new era, in a very limited time. I hope that we will have another chance to explore more about my loving city together. Sincerely, Akira
A journey to japan for some of us is difficult destination, since we have to spend a great amount of money or have to travel / fly for more that 15 hours. We booked Akira for 2 days to walk me and my family around Tokyo. I decided to book him since he looked young and motivated to guide us... more over he sounded to speak fluently English... In general Akira has all the above characteristics but I wasn’t fully satisfied.. he hadn’t the sparky motivation that I expected.. since he was describing the attraction in a short way like reading a paragraph from a book... without adding further information such urban legends and local habits ect. He looked to me little bit tired...
Dear Christios, Thank you so much for the honest review and also, thank you so much for giving me a chance to looking back the way I do business. I wish that the rest of the Japan trip will be sparky exciting and memorable. Sincerely, Akira
Akira is a genuine person, he gave good advice on ways to go around Tokyo. Covered all the places as per the itinerary. Food choices were good also. My whole family was very happy and that makes me happy too. Thank you Akira, hope to see you again in the future.
Dear Mohana, Thank you so much for the great review. I am so happy that your first Tokyo experience was a good and memorable one. Also, I’m so happy to hear that you and your loving family, including cute little one, were all happy and that makes me happy too! I am looking forward to another chance to explore my loving city together in near future. See you next time. Sincerely, Akira
