Hi Everyone! Welcome to Japan.
I am an English-speaking licensed tour guide, and a registered nurse as well.
“Fun Discovering Experience Walking like a Local!” – F-D-E-W-L!
That’s what I suggest.
My work history is as follows.
1) high school teacher - 12 years
2) nurse – 8 years
3) tourism related jobs such as tour conducting, guiding, and back supporting – 7 years
As a tour conductor, I’ve visited about 20 foreign countries (possibly yours?) as well as countless towns in Japan.
I’ve enjoyed these jobs while being a mother of two girls.
Through these experiences with lots of people from different backgrounds, I've found it a great pleasure to share the joy of learning and experiencing something new!
- Tokyo, Kamakura, Hakone, Fuji, Yokohama, Nikko,
I’m a specialist in Tokyo and Kamakura as I have lived and enjoyed walking a lot in those cities for decades. To be honest, even after all my years here, I still enjoy exploring like a tourist as Tokyo is such an enormous city with great diversity and is constantly changing.
Kamakura is a historical small city with lots of hidden beautiful spots. Almost every time I go out, I feel I’m still making new discoveries. That’s why I cannot stop exploring.
I would take you to some neighboring cities like Hakone, Yokohama, and Nikko, which I’m familiar with and fond of.
- Nagoya, Nagano(Kamikochi), Hida (Takayama, Shirakawa-go), Kanazawa, Oita, Yamagata, Akita, etc. if transportation and accommodation covered.
My original family is from Nagoya, so I know their culture and even their language(dialect) well. Later in my life, I have lived in Oita, Kyushu(far south west of Tokyo) for nearly 10 years and traveled a lot in Kyushu. I’ve visited some other local areas deep in the north, too. So, I could share those experiences with you even while having tours in Tokyo.
【Personality and others】
- I love meeting people, listening and talking to them.
- I'm friendly and caring, I hope.
- I love nature. I enjoy hiking and skiing.
- I love seasonal flowers and good local food.
- You will see a lot about Japanese culture, nature, and lifestyle.
What has made you decide to come to Japan, by the way? Is it its scenic beauties, exotic culture, history, food, or what else? Is it your business that has brought (or will bring) you here? Let me have a clue and customize your tour. I will make the best tour suggestion for you.
Why don’t you contact me now? I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!
Thank you! Arigato-gozaimasu!

Tomoko is a lovely lady who knows the area well. My husband loved spending the day with her. Due to rain we had to make some changes in our plans but the alternative places were very interesting. She gave us a good feel for the culture and history of the people and sites. We traveled a lot on the subway which was fascinating, clean and efficient. Excellent experience.
Thank you very much for your great review, Cindy and Dave. I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed the whole day and the subway even though it rained intermittently. I was impressed by your energy and interest just after a long flight. You seem to have breathed in a lot of oxygen of Tokyo :) Someday, I would like to visit Colorado and enjoy the great nature 🏔 Thank you again!
Tomoko went above and beyond! We learned so much. Teaching came so naturally to her and she answered all of our questions with bonus information. She has a great sense of humor and warm hospitality. She showed us the transit system, local customs and welcomed us like old friends visiting her hometown for the first time.
Thank you for your great review, Taylor. It was so much fun for me, too, to share wonderful time with an inquisitive couple like you! Lots of spontaneous questions and some requests from you on the way made our tour interactive, and I learned a lot through it. Thank you and looking forward to seeing you and laughing together again, Taylor and Joe 😊
Tomoko was absolutely so professional and timely responding to my emails, and I appreciated all her suggestions. I knew my adult son and I would have a great tour- and we did! She met us promptly in the lobby of our hotel and we started our fantastic day at the Tsukiji Market. It was so fun because Tomoko knew everything about all the food, and seemed to be friends with so many vendors. She soon became our friend, too. She has so much knowledge and is a gifted story teller. We appreciated her energy, and she tried to keep us in the shade- it was quite hot. We loved the lotus flowers on the pond, and had fun exploring the Nezu Shrine and barely fitting through the little Tori Gates (my son is over 6ft tall). Then we had a traditional Japanese lunch at a beautiful restaurant. Tomoko did her ... 阅读更多
Thank you for your great review, Becky! I'm so surprised and happy as well that you remember all the moments we shared so clearly.:) As you told me know what you would have done before our tour such as the bike tour and baseball game, I planned and tried to show you something different, the venues you could reach only on foot and with some local human touch! I'm glad it seems to have worked :) Thank you also for your honest view for the lunch time. My best wishes to you and your family!
Tomoko made our first 2 days in Tokyo so easy. She guided us through the subways to both old and new Tokyo. We enjoyed lovely shrines and temples, shopping areas, and cultural places. Tomoko was cheerful and knowledgeable as she shared this amazing city.
Thank you so much for the great review, Barbara! I’m happy to hear that I was of some help for the adventurous, jolly family like yours😊 I was amazed that Alison showed great interest in ‘Bakumatsu,’ the shifting period from Samurai era to modern Japan. I’m sure you will all enjoy your visit to Kyoto, Nara, and Osaka. Thank you again for the great time shared with you, Richard, and Alison.
This brief tour was arranged to be a short introduction to Tokyo, Japan with a small tour at a site near our hotel. Tomoko met us at the airport, helped us get our luggage shipped to our hotel in Kyoto, exchange our JR vouchers for passes and secure tickets for ALL of our JR rail trips on our 9-day trip in Japan, helped us get to our first hotel, etc. I simply cannot imagine doing this while jet lagged without Tomoko! She was precious upon meeting her and greeted us both with a huge hug, which was quite the surprise but so appreciated, and the positives just kept going from there! She was invaluable and worth every cent! We attempted to tour the underground area of the Tokyo Station where there is a maze of endless restaurants, shops, vendors, etc. She realized quickly that my hu... 阅读更多
Thank you so much for the great review with your experiences, Rachael! Yes, I was so excited to see you at Haneda airport after 7 months of message exchange in advance. It was as if I saw my old friend after a long absence. Thank you for sharing so many memorable moments together with you and Mike. I was so happy and relieved to see Mike had recovered when we met again and genuinely enjoyed Sumo, the car museum, and beer & sake 🍺 Great summer days! I miss you, too 😊
