Hi Everyone! Welcome to Japan.
I am an English-speaking licensed tour guide, and a registered nurse as well.
“Fun Discovering Experience Walking like a Local!” – F-D-E-W-L!
That’s what I suggest.
My work history is as follows.
1) high school teacher - 12 years
2) nurse – 8 years
3) tourism related jobs such as tour conducting, guiding, and back supporting – 6 years
As a tour conductor, I’ve visited about 20 foreign countries (possibly yours?) as well as countless towns in Japan.
I’ve enjoyed these jobs while being a mother of two girls.
Through these experiences with lots of people from different backgrounds, I've found it a great pleasure to share the joy of learning and experiencing something new!
- Tokyo, Kamakura, Hakone, Fuji, Yokohama, Nikko,
I’m a specialist in Tokyo and Kamakura as I have lived and enjoyed walking a lot in those cities for decades. To be honest, even after all my years here, I still enjoy exploring like a tourist as Tokyo is such an enormous city with great diversity and is constantly changing.
Kamakura is a historical small city with lots of hidden beautiful spots. Almost every time I go out, I feel I’m still making new discoveries. That’s why I cannot stop exploring.
I would take you to some neighboring cities like Hakone, Yokohama, and Nikko, which I’m familiar with and fond of.
- Nagoya, Nagano(Kamikochi), Hida (Takayama, Shirakawa-go), Kanazawa, Oita, Yamagata, Akita, etc. if transportation and accommodation covered.
My original family is from Nagoya, so I know their culture and even their language(dialect) well. Later in my life, I have lived in Oita, Kyushu(far south west of Tokyo) for nearly 10 years and traveled a lot in Kyushu. I’ve visited some other local areas deep in the north, too. So, I could share those experiences with you even while having tours in Tokyo.
【Personality and others】
- I love meeting people, listening and talking to them.
- I'm friendly and caring, I hope.
- I love nature. I enjoy hiking and skiing.
- I love seasonal flowers and good local food.
- You will see a lot about Japanese culture, nature, and lifestyle.
What has made you decide to come to Japan, by the way? Is it its scenic beauties, exotic culture, history, food, or what else? Is it your business that has brought (or will bring) you here? Let me have a clue and customize your tour. I will make the best tour suggestion for you.
Why don’t you contact me now? I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!
Thank you! Arigato-gozaimasu!

We have had a great tour of Tokyo with Tomoko. She knows a lot about Tokyo and Japan and made the best of our day. We learned a lot, she was able to answer our question and on top of that made nice pictures of us that we be good memories. We highly recommend Tomoko
Thank you for your great and prompt review, Christophe and Kristina. I really enjoyed the day with you, and especially your lovely faces amazed with good food, with the senior local shop-owner, and the unexpected message from the temple. Wishing you all the best and hoping you have a lot more fun experiences during your stay in Japan. Take care!
Tomoko was very knowledgeable and kind. She was like our Japanese mother for the day. She took care of us and taught us so much about the Japanese culture. We enjoyed our time with her and are very excited to plan our next trip with her. Thank you for a wonderful experience and introduction to Japanese culture. Best wishes from Trisha and Tiara. We will see you soon.
Thank you for sharing great time, Tiara and Trisha. Also, thank you for posting such a heart-warming review just after the tour. Yes, I felt as if I were your mother or at least your aunt that day 😊 I like a lot the way you casually enjoying your stay in Tokyo with your sibling. You are always most welcome and I’m looking forward to seeing you soon. Say hello to all your family. Take care!
Tomoko was just so friendly and willing to take us to all the places we wanted to see and do in Tokyo. Nothing was an effort. We certainly crammed in a full day and were thoroughly exhausted but that was our choice to try and get to see as much as we could. We would recommend Tomoko to anyone considering hiring a guide which is really a great idea if you have never been to Japan before because it can be quite overwhelming with the huge amount of things to see and do. Thank you Tomoko for a great day. Lynnsey, Fay and Sue from Melbourne, Australia.
Hi Lynnsey! Thank you so much to take your time to post a great review. Yes, we did a lot that day starting from your hotel in Shinjuku, visiting Tokyo station, Imperial Palace, Asakusa, Ueno, and the fabric town! How are your patchwork pieces going? I’m very much interested in what you’ve made 😊 Thank you for sharing great time with me and my best regards to you and your lovely friends Fay and Sue.
We had a great time with Tomoko. She took care of us like her own family. She made sure my daughters enjoyed the authentic Japanese cousine. I will not hesitate to recommend Tomoko to my friends and family. Hope to visit again during cherry blossom season. Thank you Tomoko. You will remain our friend always. John Pereira, Abu Dhabi
Hi John and all, Thank you for your great review and, most of all, for the wonderful 6 days shared together. The view from Skytree, the beautiful hydrangea and irises, Imperial Palace, Asakusa, Ueno Zoo, the Shibuya Crossing, the Great Buddha of Kamakura, Shinkansen trip to Nagano, and the forestry Togakushi shrine……. Ramen, Tempra, Okonomi-yaki, Yakiniku, and sweets and Asahi beer! I could not name all we enjoyed sometime even in the rain. Thank you again and looking forward to seeing you again, John, Dorothy, Rochelle, Alisha, Molly and Maxime 😊
Tomoko made our trip to Tokyo and Hakone a very nice experience. She was knowledgeable and helped us get around in Tokyo and Hakone. She took pictures and sent them to us complementing our experience. Her English was good and she helped us decide what dishes to eat for our meals. The only reason we don’t give her 5 stars is because in our first day we found out the imperial palace in Tokyo was closed once we arrived there. Otherwise she was a great guide for us.
Thank you for sharing great 4 days and taking your time to write such a great review. I was impressed by how well you prepared your trip and the way you enjoyed it. I was most impressed with how joyfully and naturally your son absorbed and enjoyed the new situations and language! Sincere apology that I took you to the Imperial Palace garden without knowing its irregular closing. It was not the fault of President Trump but mine to bring you there. Sorry for that and thank your for giving me the lesson to be more attentive at the time of special occasion when the security is super tight. Wishing you will have more fun during your further stay in Japan. Looking forward to seeing you again, Lyda, Carlos, Andre, and hopefully Sebastian, too 😊
