Hi Everyone! Welcome to Japan.
I am an English-speaking licensed tour guide, and a registered nurse as well.
“Fun Discovering Experience Walking like a Local!” – F-D-E-W-L!
That’s what I suggest.
My work history is as follows.
1) high school teacher - 12 years
2) nurse – 8 years
3) tourism related jobs such as tour conducting, guiding, and back supporting – 6 years
As a tour conductor, I’ve visited about 20 foreign countries (possibly yours?) as well as countless towns in Japan.
I’ve enjoyed these jobs while being a mother of two girls.
Through these experiences with lots of people from different backgrounds, I've found it a great pleasure to share the joy of learning and experiencing something new!
- Tokyo, Kamakura, Hakone, Fuji, Yokohama, Nikko,
I’m a specialist in Tokyo and Kamakura as I have lived and enjoyed walking a lot in those cities for decades. To be honest, even after all my years here, I still enjoy exploring like a tourist as Tokyo is such an enormous city with great diversity and is constantly changing.
Kamakura is a historical small city with lots of hidden beautiful spots. Almost every time I go out, I feel I’m still making new discoveries. That’s why I cannot stop exploring.
I would take you to some neighboring cities like Hakone, Yokohama, and Nikko, which I’m familiar with and fond of.
- Nagoya, Nagano(Kamikochi), Hida (Takayama, Shirakawa-go), Kanazawa, Oita, Yamagata, Akita, etc. if transportation and accommodation covered.
My original family is from Nagoya, so I know their culture and even their language(dialect) well. Later in my life, I have lived in Oita, Kyushu(far south west of Tokyo) for nearly 10 years and traveled a lot in Kyushu. I’ve visited some other local areas deep in the north, too. So, I could share those experiences with you even while having tours in Tokyo.
【Personality and others】
- I love meeting people, listening and talking to them.
- I'm friendly and caring, I hope.
- I love nature. I enjoy hiking and skiing.
- I love seasonal flowers and good local food.
- You will see a lot about Japanese culture, nature, and lifestyle.
What has made you decide to come to Japan, by the way? Is it its scenic beauties, exotic culture, history, food, or what else? Is it your business that has brought (or will bring) you here? Let me have a clue and customize your tour. I will make the best tour suggestion for you.
Why don’t you contact me now? I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!
Thank you! Arigato-gozaimasu!

Tomoko had obviously planned our day from the prior communications we had had offering us several alternatives and being flexible with the itinerary to suit us as well as bringing maps and brochures with her for us to use afterwards and gave us information for our remaining time in Tokyo. The day itself was a very full and enjoyable one, from 0830 to after 1700 when she left us after ensuring we were conversant with the Tokyo public transport system, and was certainly value for money. Tomoko's English was very good and she was very informative throughout the day as well as being a pleasure to be with and we would strongly recommend her as a guide
Thank you for your great review, Mike. It was a beautiful spring day, especially the peaceful morning in the park was memorable. I’m glad that you enjoyed the tour and the rest of your stay in Tokyo after the tour. It was my great pleasure to assist your adventure by showing places and how to swim around the city of Tokyo. Thank you for clarifying your interests and sharing fun time together with me. Looking forward to seeing you again 😊 Best wishes to you and Jennifer!
Wonderful guide. Well organized... had everything organized from the minute she met with us and on thru the whole day. She took exceptional care of us..like a nurse would! Had a good disposition and sense of humor. Couldn't ask for a more pleasant person to be with. Went the extra mile like helping us get yens from the ATM machine when ours ran out. I would not use any other guide if I came back to visit. Having Tomoko at the beginning of our trip helped us be able to get along better for the rest of our trip!
Thank you so much for the great review, Corrine. I was excited when I receive an offer from you to go and see the Snow Monkeys together. They were just adorable and we really enjoyed the sights.🐵 The day was a bit rush, but the next day in Tokyo was very relaxing blessed with fine weather and beautiful cherry flowers! I learned a lot from you and Kelly. Thinking of your experiences, I’m just a GIRL 😊 My best regards to you two. Thank you again!
Tomoko guides all over Japan and especially enjoys showing Tokyo to visitors. She was very receptive to our requests and put together a program incorporating our interests with her own “must-see” places. Besides the famous shrines and gardens, she took us to lesser-known, beautiful places such as a famous sculptor’s home and studio. Tomoko came up with a creative schedule for our very rainy second day. Her English is very good; she is a lovely person and a fount of knowledge. She taught us to navigate the subway system and gave us tips and advice for the places we wanted to visit on our own after our two days together. We felt as if we had made a friend. We heartily recommend Tomoko for visitors to large, and sometimes confusing, Tokyo.
Thank you so much for your great review, Barbara. It was my great pleasure to share the two days with you. Thank you for being flexible and sharing your honest views about food and the places to visit in the cold rain, which made it easier for me to revise the itinerary into a natural way. I enjoyed the procedure and the outcome working together with you and Henry.:) As you mentioned, Tokyo is quite large with so many new interesting places to visit. I do appreciate your info and suggestion about the places I'm not that much familiar with. It's always fun to receive new ideas from my guests and explore those places. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed two more days in Tokyo after our tour. The pizza and the chocolate icecream with espresso were super Oishikatta-des!😋
My husband and I did a private walking tour of Tokyo’s Sakura spots (Yanaka, Ueno Park and Chidorigafuchi) with Tomoko-san. She helped us customised the tour and during the tour she pointed out things we would have missed on our own. She was very knowledgeable about history. We really appreciate that she was easy to communicate with before and during the tour. Overall great experience!
Thank you for your review about our Sakura tour:) 🌸 As you had clarified your interests and the venues you could easily go on your own in our previous message exchange, we could focus on the other places without any rush. Thank you for your suggestion, Grace. Besides, I feel so lucky that we were blessed with great weather and the best timing of the cherries as well as other kind of flowers. I’m sure you took lots of beautiful photos. I look forward to seeing you again in some other season.
She’s very nice and helpful.
Hi Danielle and all！Thank you for posting a great review before our three-day tour ends. I’m anticipating what fun moments we can share tomorrow. Cannot wait 😊 See you soon!
