Hi Everyone! Welcome to Japan.
I am an English-speaking licensed tour guide, and a registered nurse as well.
“Fun Discovering Experience Walking like a Local!” – F-D-E-W-L!
That’s what I suggest.
My work history is as follows.
1) high school teacher - 12 years
2) nurse – 8 years
3) tourism related jobs such as tour conducting, guiding, and back supporting – 7 years
As a tour conductor, I’ve visited about 20 foreign countries (possibly yours?) as well as countless towns in Japan.
I’ve enjoyed these jobs while being a mother of two girls.
Through these experiences with lots of people from different backgrounds, I've found it a great pleasure to share the joy of learning and experiencing something new!
- Tokyo, Kamakura, Hakone, Fuji, Yokohama, Nikko,
I’m a specialist in Tokyo and Kamakura as I have lived and enjoyed walking a lot in those cities for decades. To be honest, even after all my years here, I still enjoy exploring like a tourist as Tokyo is such an enormous city with great diversity and is constantly changing.
Kamakura is a historical small city with lots of hidden beautiful spots. Almost every time I go out, I feel I’m still making new discoveries. That’s why I cannot stop exploring.
I would take you to some neighboring cities like Hakone, Yokohama, and Nikko, which I’m familiar with and fond of.
- Nagoya, Nagano(Kamikochi), Hida (Takayama, Shirakawa-go), Kanazawa, Oita, Yamagata, Akita, etc. if transportation and accommodation covered.
My original family is from Nagoya, so I know their culture and even their language(dialect) well. Later in my life, I have lived in Oita, Kyushu(far south west of Tokyo) for nearly 10 years and traveled a lot in Kyushu. I’ve visited some other local areas deep in the north, too. So, I could share those experiences with you even while having tours in Tokyo.
【Personality and others】
- I love meeting people, listening and talking to them.
- I'm friendly and caring, I hope.
- I love nature. I enjoy hiking and skiing.
- I love seasonal flowers and good local food.
- You will see a lot about Japanese culture, nature, and lifestyle.
What has made you decide to come to Japan, by the way? Is it its scenic beauties, exotic culture, history, food, or what else? Is it your business that has brought (or will bring) you here? Let me have a clue and customize your tour. I will make the best tour suggestion for you.
Why don’t you contact me now? I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!
Thank you! Arigato-gozaimasu!

We highly recommend Tomoko. Her organized and yet flexible approach to planning and leading our 1/2 day experience with her made it one of the highlights of our time in Tokyo. Every person in our group of 5 wished we had been able to spend more time with her. Despite our limited time, we did not feel rushed as she helped us make the most of each site, pointing out and explaining specific and unique historic as well as cultural details we might otherwise have missed. She shared lots of information, including photos and other visual information before and after the tour. Tomoko’s genuine interest in other people, her knowledge and enthusiasm for historic and current aspects of Japanese culture AND her sense of humor made her made her an excellent guide for our group.
we spent a wonderful exiting relaxing day with tomoko. struggling around in yanaka and ueno, looking at temples, shops, different surroundings, cementary, learning a lot of tokyos history. eating soba noodles and sake in a small nontouristic place. we love tomoko.
Thank you for your warm review and for sharing relaxing Saturday together, Daniela and Peter. We did not visit many places but I’m glad you enjoyed strolling around and appreciating the local areas of Nezu, Yanaka, and Ueno. We were lucky to see the Japanese family event of ‘7-5-3,’ and so many adorable young children dressed up in Kimono! Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay and the Tokyo National Museum fully. With love – Tomoko😊
Tomoko was not only knowledgeable and responsive, she was also very kind and fun and empathetic. We could tell she really wanted us to learn about and have a great experience in Tokyo and Japan. We have had good guides in other countries but she was the best ever! Highly recommended.
Thank you for posting such a nice review just after we departed! I really enjoyed every moment shared with you and Joan, all the gardens, flowers, Koi fish, birds, Buddhist temples and statues, food, brightly lit downtown, and such and such. Above all, I enjoyed the conversation with you two. I’m impressed with your choice of accommodation and the way to acclimate yourself to different culture. I feel very my blessed to talk with you Joan😊 Thank you again, Don and Joan. Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in Japan.
We toured 2 days with Tomoko, in Tokyo and Kamakura. She is an excellent guide and an incredibly nice person! Knowledgeable, flexible, open-minded. We learnt a lot! Kamakura being her childhood place it added a very personal feeling to all the experience. Thank you Tomoko:))
Thank you for the two fun and beautiful days, Svetlana and Lemy! I’m so glad you enjoyed the days, too. We explored a little hidden places both in Tokyo and Kamakura. As your interests were varied and spontaneous, we could experience a lot unexpected. I will never forget the beautiful sunset of Kamakura beach and the tides and water we dipped our legs into. :) ありがとうございました。とてもたのしかったです。またね！（Thank you very much. That was so much fun. See you again!）
Tomko guided us for 2 days in Tokyo (3 adults from Israel) . She showed us the city in the best way with her great knowledge. We learned so much, and had the opportunity to see things that we would never see without her guidance. In addition, her excitment and love to the city is well felt, and added to the whole experience. We recommend Tomko's guidance to anyone who wants to have a significant trip in Tokyo.
Thank you for your great review, Alon. I really enjoyed the company of you and your lovely children. The weather on our first day was not quite favorable, but we did a lot both outdoors and indoors, from the jam-packed train and downtown to calm, quiet local districts. The coffee cheered us up! It was also fun to learn a little bit about each other’s culture and languages. I’m also glad that you found the perfect souvenir for your wife at the last moment of our tour. Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay and see you again in the future. Thank you Alon, Kim, and Idan.😊
