Hi Everyone! Welcome to Japan.
I am an English-speaking licensed tour guide, and a registered nurse as well.
“Fun Discovering Experience Walking like a Local!” – F-D-E-W-L!
That’s what I suggest.
My work history is as follows.
1) high school teacher - 12 years
2) nurse – 8 years
3) tourism related jobs such as tour conducting, guiding, and back supporting – 8 years
As a tour conductor, I’ve visited about 20 foreign countries (possibly yours?) as well as countless number of towns and villages in Japan.
I’ve enjoyed these jobs while being a mother of two girls.
Through these experiences with lots of people from different backgrounds, I've found it a great pleasure to share the joy of learning and experiencing something new!
- Tokyo, Kamakura, Hakone, Fuji, Yokohama, Nikko, etc.
I’m a specialist in Tokyo and Kamakura as I have lived and enjoyed walking a lot in those cities for decades. To be honest, even after all my years here, I still enjoy exploring like a tourist as Tokyo is such an enormous city with great diversity and is constantly changing.
Kamakura is a historical small city with lots of hidden spots of beuty. Almost every time I go out, I feel I’m still making new discoveries. That’s why I cannot stop exploring.
I would take you to some neighboring areas like Hakone, Yokohama, and Nikko, which I love and are familiar with.
- Nagoya, Nagano(Kamikochi), Hida (Takayama, Shirakawa-go), Kanazawa, Oita, Yamagata, Akita, etc. if transportation and accommodation covered.
My original family is from Nagoya, so I know their culture and even their language(dialect) well. Later in my life, I have lived in Oita, Kyushu(far south west of Tokyo) for nearly 10 years and traveled a lot in Kyushu. I’ve visited some other local areas deep in the north, too. So, I could share those experiences with you even while having tours in Tokyo.
【Personality and others】
- I love meeting people, listening and talking to them.
- I'm friendly and caring, I hope:)
- I love nature and enjoy hiking and skiing.
- I love seasonal flowers and good local food.
- You will see a lot about Japanese culture, nature, and lifestyle.
What has made you decide to come to Japan, by the way? Is it its scenic beauties, exotic culture, history, food, anime, or what else? Is it your business that has brought (or will bring) you here? Let me have a clue and customize your tour. I will make the best tour suggestion for you.
Why don’t you contact me now? I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!
Thank you! Arigato-gozaimas!

I could tell just by listening to Tomoko's video that she was the person for us. She had a lovely personality and after only being with her for an hour or so, you felt that you had known her for a long time. She took us to some amazing places that no one on their first visit to Tokyo would ever know about. The metro system is very confusing and her knowledge of that was brilliant. I had asked for her to take us for a suchi lunch and she did take us to a really lovely restaurant. We also had some street food with her at the end of the day. She also took a lot of photos of us which she sent to us when she returned home. I fully recommend Tomoko as a guide, she was wonderful.
Thank you for your great review and for finding me out as your Tokyo guide at the first stage of your MYSTERY tour to Asia. Oh, thank you also for assisting me to collect stamps there, hahaha. Although the weather was not much favorable, we laughed a lot and enjoyed many places, such as the traditional garden, Imperial Palace, Ginza, Asakusa, Shinjuku as well as the sushi place and the narrow Yakitori street. I’m sure you will be blessed with lots of happiness this year, 2020! Hope to see you again, Ian & Anne😊
I will start by saying that our day spent with Tomoko felt like a day visiting a good friend. We started off our Japan trip with Tomoko and it was one of the most memorable. I was very hesitant to commit to anything because I have 2 small children aged 5 and 7. There is a lot of walking involved as a tourist throughout Japan and this often was difficult to manage with my 5 year old. Tomoko helped ease these fears by being so incredibly flexible with her schedule and also adding in some spontaneous fun and rest time for the children. Not only that, she came prepared with written material consisting of timelines of Japanese eras with their significance - I referred to these papers throughout our stay in Japan!! She did a wonderful job in giving me a quick overview of the art history too - ... read more
Thank you for your passionate, detailed, great review, Shivani 😊 I’m glad to hear you thoroughly enjoyed your whole trip in Japan and are now settled at home. Depending on the family age, status, and the taste of each member, what we can enjoy will be varied. You love art and history, and your husband has great tastes in best food and advanced technology, while your adorable children are fond of crafts, animals, and trains! Shibuya and Harajuku are very fun places, but I just thought wondering there after visiting so many other places must be exhausting to your little ones. I’m very much proud of your hard work for research, preparation, and arrangement as a mother. Thank you again for sharing fun and heart-warming time with you all. Best wishes to you, Shivani, Rishi, Aasha, and Nirvaan. ... read more
Tomoko met us in our Tokyo hotel & travelled to Hakone area with us. She made the transfers easy. We had a wonderful day with Tomoko providing lots of local knowledge. She doubled checked any information I had given her about our hotel & baggage transfer without prompting. I would highly recommend Tomoko particularly if a group - much better than organised tours. Thank you again Tomoko
Thank you for your great review, Tonya. It’s my pleasure to make tours perfectly fit to the needs of each party. Thank you also for bringing us the perfect weather, which is something I cannot control by double-checking 😊 Excursion to Hakone is very susceptible and changeable to all different conditions, such as weather(wind, rain and snow), traffic, geological situations, and typhoon damage last year, etc. So, even if we prepare, some unexpected thing can happen. I appreciate all your cooperation and it was a very memorable day for me, too. Hope you enjoy all the rest of your journey in Japan, Tonya, Simon, Jade, and Skye⛄
We enjoyed the time with Tomoko. She is knowledgeable and very organised. Mt Fuji is so beautiful in a clear day! Toshogu Shrine is a must visit place, not only the amazing architecture and decoration, but also the beautiful natural surroundings. Local foods are delicious thanks to Tomoko’s recommendation.
Thank you for taking your time to post such a nice review, Amy. Glad to hear you enjoyed the two big excursion to Mt. Fuji (Lake area) and Nikko. I’m impressed with the way you prepared for your family trip and it was my great pleasure to work with you. I hope you get recharged and your children had fun skiing after our tours. Best wishes to you, Emily, and Kevin😊
Highly recommend Tomoko. As first time visitors to Tokyo with Tomoko we covered many and varied aspects of Tokyo. As a large group of 14 (4 adults and 8 older children) Tomoko did a great job engaging with us all and confidently helping us access some very busy areas of Tokyo. We were also lucky enough to see and do some things we never would have experienced without Tomoko. Tomoko was also very responsive leading up to our trip and while we were in Tokyo. Thankyou Tomoko!!
Thank you for your great review, Sean. It was my great pleasure to share the 2 fun days with you all. Yes, we covered so many places from the market, shrines & temples, Imperial Palace, busy downtowns & the cemetery, Samurai place and commoners’ town of old times, and so and so. I greatly appreciate all of your cooperation, even of your children when they needed to wait patiently for the ticket booking, as without it, the tour would not have been that much smooth and fun. Thank you again and the best wishes to your friends and family.
