Hi Everyone! Welcome to Japan.
I am an English-speaking licensed tour guide, and a registered nurse as well.
“Fun Discovering Experience Walking like a Local!” – F-D-E-W-L!
That’s what I suggest.
My work history is as follows.
1) high school teacher - 12 years
2) nurse – 8 years
3) tourism related jobs such as tour conducting, guiding, and back supporting – 6 years
As a tour conductor, I’ve visited about 20 foreign countries (possibly yours?) as well as countless towns in Japan.
I’ve enjoyed these jobs while being a mother of two girls.
Through these experiences with lots of people from different backgrounds, I've found it a great pleasure to share the joy of learning and experiencing something new!
- Tokyo, Kamakura, Hakone, Fuji, Yokohama, Nikko,
I’m a specialist in Tokyo and Kamakura as I have lived and enjoyed walking a lot in those cities for decades. To be honest, even after all my years here, I still enjoy exploring like a tourist as Tokyo is such an enormous city with great diversity and is constantly changing.
Kamakura is a historical small city with lots of hidden beautiful spots. Almost every time I go out, I feel I’m still making new discoveries. That’s why I cannot stop exploring.
I would take you to some neighboring cities like Hakone, Yokohama, and Nikko, which I’m familiar with and fond of.
- Nagoya, Nagano(Kamikochi), Hida (Takayama, Shirakawa-go), Kanazawa, Oita, Yamagata, Akita, etc. if transportation and accommodation covered.
My original family is from Nagoya, so I know their culture and even their language(dialect) well. Later in my life, I have lived in Oita, Kyushu(far south west of Tokyo) for nearly 10 years and traveled a lot in Kyushu. I’ve visited some other local areas deep in the north, too. So, I could share those experiences with you even while having tours in Tokyo.
【Personality and others】
- I love meeting people, listening and talking to them.
- I'm friendly and caring, I hope.
- I love nature. I enjoy hiking and skiing.
- I love seasonal flowers and good local food.
- You will see a lot about Japanese culture, nature, and lifestyle.
What has made you decide to come to Japan, by the way? Is it its scenic beauties, exotic culture, history, food, or what else? Is it your business that has brought (or will bring) you here? Let me have a clue and customize your tour. I will make the best tour suggestion for you.
Why don’t you contact me now? I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!
Thank you! Arigato-gozaimasu!

Before arriving, an artist friend and & I shared with Tomoko our particular interests on this, our first trip to Tokyo. Not only did Tomoko devise a tour that answered our specific requests but her own historical and cultural knowledge -- plus a winning personality -- added more than we ever could ever have hoped for. We covered so much territory on this one outing -- from temples, shrines, a cemetery, and park to an art gallery and origami center (!) -- that we would not have discovered on our own. But above all, it was as if we were seeing it all with a new friend who knew exactly what we wanted. It could not have been more enjoyable and informative. What a winning combination.
Because of Tomoko our first memories of Tokyo are fond ones shared with a new friend, and for that we cannot recommend choosing her as your personal Tokyo tour guide enough! Tomoko is as knowledgeable about her home country, as she is friendly and generous (which is A LOT). She is extremely responsive and will make the time shared with her very special. Our group consisted of four Aussie friends visiting Japan for the first time and when Tomoko asked how we wanted to spend our day, we asked to focus on trying lots of different Japanese food and visiting the 'must-see' attractions of the city. Instantly, Tomoko sent through an itinerary that matched our request perfectly and we were on our way to see the Meiji-Jingu shrine, Tsujiki Market and Senso-ji! From the very start of our t... read more
Hi Belinda, Will, Lucy and Jordan! Thank you for your great review. I really enjoyed the time shared with you all. I was so impressed by your interest and curiosity in our culture. Also, so quick to absorb anything and learn how to ride trains and transfer around in busy Tokyo although you did not know there were any train and subway in Tokyo and walked as far as 25km the previous day! Hahaha. What I enjoyed most with you is to see how much and how happily you eat here and there 😊 I’m proud of your appetite! I’m relieved to hear you safely enjoyed skiing/snowboarding in Niseko. Tanoshikatta-desune, Oishikatta-desune :) See you soon!
We have just finished our first day with Tomoko, and we are absolutely thrilled with having her for our guide! Before our trip she corresponded well with us through email to organize and plan our itinerary and days. She matched our itinerary so well with what we had expressed our interests are. Yet, she was also very flexible along the way as we decided how to see and do interesting things in the city. She is thoughtful and informative and gives great insights to everything we are seeing and experiencing. She has wonderful suggestions and she paces activities and sights to see just perfectly. She is so helpful and pleasant. Tomoko has really made our Tokyo adventure so special, and we have made wonderful memories on our tour with her. We can’t imagine anyone better than Tomoko to na... read more
Hi Laura and all! Thank you very much for posting such a nice review just after the tour. That was a great valentine day for me, too. I like the way how all of you think and care about other family members, which made my heart warmed💛 I also appreciate it a lot that you always listened to my stories attentively and show great interest and respect to our culture and the differences even while you are busy tasting, photographing, and shopping. Wishing you have great days in Kyoto and very much looking forward to our reunion on the second day in Tokyo. More fun experiences and sights will be waiting for you! Thank you again. 😊
I had a lovely day with Tomoko visiting Kamakura. Tomoko designed a proposal for me to suit my work schedule and met me at my hotel in Tokyo. We travelled to Kamakura together and on the way she showed me the various maps, information packs she had brought for me. In Kamakura, Tomoko provided a huge amount of historical, local information and clearly knows a lot about the area having lived there for many years! Her plan allowed us plenty of time in each place and at no point did I feel rushed, despite having to be back in Tokyo for a meeting that afternoon. I learned so much and would highly recommend Tomoko as a guide. She was friendly and easygoing and the whole day was fantastic.
Hi dear Emily! Thank you for your great review. I really enjoyed the time shared with you in Kamakura. You are just like my daughters’ generation, so it was fun for me to hear your stories, views, and ideas. It was like a refreshing breeze! After the tour, I saw the film, ‘One Cut of the Dead.’ That was hilarious! Also, thank you for showing your interest to my old stories when I was in my teens _ hahaha. Wishing you the very best for your future career and your own life, too.
Tomoko was a fantastic guide and we highly recommend her! Her depth and breadth of knowledge was remarkable and her flexibility just great. We spent 3 half days of our 4 day visit to Tokyo with Tomoko. And we visited so many interesting places including: Asakusa (temple and lively town), Tsukiji Outer Market (food tasting extraordinaire!) Kappabashi (foodie heaven of kitchen and cutlery shops), Uneo Park (history and temples), Yanaka (matcha tea ceremony - one of the highlights), Imperial Palace gardens (including impromptu taxi drive around the area with very knowledgeable driver translated by Tomoko), Fukagawa Fudodo (temple in the old town with fire ceremony). In the later afternoons and evenings we had time to explore ourselves and took in Tokyo station, Shinjuku and the Samura... read more
Hi Sally-Anne! Thank you very much to take your time to write such a nice review and share what we did together in details. Yes, we visited many places in three days and shared a lot of memorable moments. We laughed a lot, too! Our last visiting spot was the GIRL’s town, Harajuku, and I will not forget the sweet picture that you and Peter enjoyed sharing that crepe. So sweet😊 Say hello to Vija! Her ideas and supports were just great. My very best wishes to you all!
