Hi Everyone! Welcome to Japan.
I am an English-speaking licensed tour guide, and a registered nurse as well.
“Fun Discovering Experience Walking like a Local!” – F-D-E-W-L!
That’s what I suggest.
My work history is as follows.
1) high school teacher - 12 years
2) nurse – 8 years
3) tourism related jobs such as tour conducting, guiding, and back supporting – 6 years
As a tour conductor, I’ve visited about 20 foreign countries (possibly yours?) as well as countless towns in Japan.
I’ve enjoyed these jobs while being a mother of two girls.
Through these experiences with lots of people from different backgrounds, I've found it a great pleasure to share the joy of learning and experiencing something new!
- Tokyo, Kamakura, Hakone, Fuji, Yokohama, Nikko,
I’m a specialist in Tokyo and Kamakura as I have lived and enjoyed walking a lot in those cities for decades. To be honest, even after all my years here, I still enjoy exploring like a tourist as Tokyo is such an enormous city with great diversity and is constantly changing.
Kamakura is a historical small city with lots of hidden beautiful spots. Almost every time I go out, I feel I’m still making new discoveries. That’s why I cannot stop exploring.
I would take you to some neighboring cities like Hakone, Yokohama, and Nikko, which I’m familiar with and fond of.
- Nagoya, Nagano(Kamikochi), Hida (Takayama, Shirakawa-go), Kanazawa, Oita, Yamagata, Akita, etc. if transportation and accommodation covered.
My original family is from Nagoya, so I know their culture and even their language(dialect) well. Later in my life, I have lived in Oita, Kyushu(far south west of Tokyo) for nearly 10 years and traveled a lot in Kyushu. I’ve visited some other local areas deep in the north, too. So, I could share those experiences with you even while having tours in Tokyo.
【Personality and others】
- I love meeting people, listening and talking to them.
- I'm friendly and caring, I hope.
- I love nature. I enjoy hiking and skiing.
- I love seasonal flowers and good local food.
- You will see a lot about Japanese culture, nature, and lifestyle.
What has made you decide to come to Japan, by the way? Is it its scenic beauties, exotic culture, history, food, or what else? Is it your business that has brought (or will bring) you here? Let me have a clue and customize your tour. I will make the best tour suggestion for you.
Why don’t you contact me now? I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!
Thank you! Arigato-gozaimasu!

We could not have asked for a better guide to teach us everything we needed to know to best enjoy our 4 days in Tokyo. From local restaurants to the train system to culture to history to religion....the list goes on! Tomoko is a wonderful guide and great person!
Thank you for taking your time to write such a nice review. It was my great pleasure to share all the tips with you and get the feedback from you the next day or later how you enjoyed your own exploration. I will never forget the fun moments shared with you in the rainy garden of Meiji Jingu, at the café with adorable creatures, and the local bar and restaurant! Looking forward to seeing you again either in Tokyo or in your place. Best wishes to you, Jacqueline and Darin😊
Thanks to Tomoko, the travels around Tokyo with our aged parents were a breeze! Extremely enthusiastic, humourous, spontaneous and helpful - highly recommended!
Thank you so much for sharing hilarious two days and for posting the great review just a moment after the tour. We enjoyed suburban cities like Kamakura, Yokohama, and Kawagoe in Saitama as well as tasty soba, unagi, sushi, and yakitori. We laughed a lot together with your husband and your SWEET parents 😊 They are so SWEET. Thank you and looking forward to seeing you again.
My family had a wonderful experience with Tomoko. We decided on a day trip to Kamakura. Tomoko knows Tokyo and the Kamakura area inside and out. She provides fantastic insights and caters the time with her clients to their interests. We also loved that Tomoko is a foodie like us so we talked a lot about Japanese cuisine and she had great recommendations. She brought us to a gem of a spot for lunch, not a place we would easily find ourselves. She was also terrific and especially engaging with our 10 year old daughter. We would recommend her in a heartbeat (by far the best guide we had on our trip), and plan to use her in the future.
Hi John! Thank you for your great review and the great time shared in Enoshima & Kamakura. Yes, we are all foodies and we enjoyed a lot of good food together. I’m always trying to find out some local restaurants, which are not too fancy but where the food quality is good, and the people are friendly. 😊 I really enjoyed the company of your sweet daughter. She is so inquisitive and responsive. Next time you come to Japan, I will show you some other beautiful, interesting spots as well as yummy places. Cannot wait! My best wishes to you, Joanna, Evelyn, Vani and her family. Take care!
Really great guide. So hands on with her customers.
Thank you for introducing your clients from the beautiful country of Croatia to me. I’m so glad that they enjoyed the day in Tokyo. It was good for both of us to talk about their interest and the itinerary again just after we meet in the morning before starting our tour. That was a great work of collaboration. Thank you😊
Just a bit into the tour, It felt like we were touring with family. We had so much fun and learned a lot! If we could, we would have loved to spend more time with Tomoko. I highly recommend booking Tomoko for your tours. When we come back to Tokyo we will book Tomoko again!
Thank you so much for taking your time to write such a great review, Margaret. The day was a great fun for me, too. Starting coincidentally from the college I graduated, we enjoyed the quiet, beautiful garden in the morning, the grand Shoguns place, business lunch, and slipped into commoners’ life in a few centuries ago. After viewing the Olympic site 2020, the cute animal café and the colorful Harajuku town was our grand finale. I really enjoyed the questions and the lovely smile of your daughter, Zoe. Thank you again and looking forward to seeing you all again.😊
