Hi Everyone! Welcome to Japan.
I am an English-speaking licensed tour guide, and a registered nurse as well.
“Fun Discovering Experience Walking like a Local!” – F-D-E-W-L!
That’s what I suggest.
My work history is as follows.
1) high school teacher - 12 years
2) nurse – 8 years
3) tourism related jobs such as tour conducting, guiding, and back supporting – 6 years
As a tour conductor, I’ve visited about 20 foreign countries (possibly yours?) as well as countless towns in Japan.
I’ve enjoyed these jobs while being a mother of two girls.
Through these experiences with lots of people from different backgrounds, I've found it a great pleasure to share the joy of learning and experiencing something new!
- Tokyo, Kamakura, Hakone, Fuji, Yokohama, Nikko,
I’m a specialist in Tokyo and Kamakura as I have lived and enjoyed walking a lot in those cities for decades. To be honest, even after all my years here, I still enjoy exploring like a tourist as Tokyo is such an enormous city with great diversity and is constantly changing.
Kamakura is a historical small city with lots of hidden beautiful spots. Almost every time I go out, I feel I’m still making new discoveries. That’s why I cannot stop exploring.
I would take you to some neighboring cities like Hakone, Yokohama, and Nikko, which I’m familiar with and fond of.
- Nagoya, Nagano(Kamikochi), Hida (Takayama, Shirakawa-go), Kanazawa, Oita, Yamagata, Akita, etc. if transportation and accommodation covered.
My original family is from Nagoya, so I know their culture and even their language(dialect) well. Later in my life, I have lived in Oita, Kyushu(far south west of Tokyo) for nearly 10 years and traveled a lot in Kyushu. I’ve visited some other local areas deep in the north, too. So, I could share those experiences with you even while having tours in Tokyo.
【Personality and others】
- I love meeting people, listening and talking to them.
- I'm friendly and caring, I hope.
- I love nature. I enjoy hiking and skiing.
- I love seasonal flowers and good local food.
- You will see a lot about Japanese culture, nature, and lifestyle.
What has made you decide to come to Japan, by the way? Is it its scenic beauties, exotic culture, history, food, or what else? Is it your business that has brought (or will bring) you here? Let me have a clue and customize your tour. I will make the best tour suggestion for you.
Why don’t you contact me now? I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!
Thank you! Arigato-gozaimasu!

I jjust wanted to give my feedback on Tomoko and the bus and driver. Most tour guides just dispense information in a monotone and no more as that is their job. It was so refreshing to have a guide that was so knowledgeable, yet spent the time to connect with every person in the group. She tried to make everyone comfortable and cared to personally make sure everyone was accounted for. You could tell she really cared and I think everyone noticed and appreciated that. You could tell by the emotional departure. She mixed area information with personal references which everyone could relate to. I personally appreciated her knowledge and caring attitude and think she was an excellent choice for a guide. I also appreciated the driver's positive and pleasant attitude. And I thought the bu... read more
Hi Dan-san, Thank you for your great review just after the tour. I feel so honored and happy to be the guide of your group of 22 people on your special trip to Japan. Thank you for working together with me in advance. It might have been a little hard for some of your members to reach the lunch restaurant at the top of Enoshima island, but I’m sure the view and the quality must have worth trying it and they are proud of themselves😊 Thank you for their great work and jolly companionship. I also appreciate our driver’s professionalism and cooperation. We all would say, ‘Safety is the Priority!’ _your friends would know, hahaha. Wishing you all have great time in Hokkaido! 🐻🏔🐟
Everything about our tour with Tomoko was exceptional. From start to finish it is clear that she truly cares about providing a customized experience that exceeds expectations. Tomoko is kind, funny, very organized and knowledgeable. She reached out several times prior to our tour to make sure the itinerary was exactly what we wanted. She made the travel to Kamakura seamless and easy. Her personal experience growing up in Kamakura made her the perfect person to show us all the hidden secrets of the city along with some of its more well know sights. She provided rich context about the area in a way that made it fun, accessible and engaging. She told us wonderful stories about everything from famous waka poems to fish markets as we strolled the street. She also helped us take beautiful photos... read more
Hi Meredith, Thank you for taking your time to write such a great review. I really enjoyed sharing time with you in my hometown Kamakura. We were blessed with beautiful weather that day together with thousands of other tourists in the middle of holiday week. I was impressed that you and Theresa had been visiting so many temples and shrines all around Japan and receiving special stamps and writings of each place. I’m honored to be of your help to collect 4 more in the busy Kamakura on the third day of the new era, Reiwa! 😊 Great idea to enjoy hiking together. Looking forward to seeing you again and enjoying refreshing hike either in Kamakura or somewhere else. I have lots more options :）
Tomoko was very informative and organised, patient, kind and caring as we were travelling with 2 young children. She saw our needs and was able to work around our planned itinerary in Hakone based on what our family needed. I highly recommend Tomoko, you won’t be disappointed!
Hi Joanna! Great to hear from you. Thank you so much for taking your time while still travelling. I really enjoyed sharing the time in Hakone with you. Your children are both so smart and adorable. I’m proud of them and impressed by you, parents’ care and insight. Looking forward to seeing you again either in Japan or in Australia. Enjoy your further stay in Japan. – Auntie, Tomoko😊
Tomoko was a super guide. She made our day. Organized ,informative, and cheerful we could not have asked for more. We give her 10 stars Maydelle and Sam Fason
Hi Maydelle and Sam, Thank you for your great review. I feel I was so lucky to share the beautiful sights and moments with you at the ancient temple in the morning. I cannot forget the serenity, the beautiful green after the shower and your smile. Thank you again for finding me out :)
We were lucky to be able to obtain the services of Tomoko on our first journey to Tokyo. We began to plan with her almost 8 months ago as we were arriving during one of the busiest times of the year. We spent 3 days in Tokyo, 1 day in Nikko and 1 day in Kamakura. Tomoko was very accommodating to our requests and she is an expert in all the places we wanted to visit. She is a very easy person to get to know and we felt like we came away gaining a new friend. We learned so much about the people, places and history of Japan. If you are traveling to Tokyo, we would recommend that any fellow travelers hire Tomoko whenever you are considering hiring a guide. We had an amazing 5 day experience that we will always remember! She is just the best! John and Charlotte
Hi dear John and Charlotte! Thank you for your heart-warming review. I feel exactly the same and I was so excited when I finally met you after more than half-year collaboration. I was impressed and learned a lot from your careful preparation and warm consideration. In spite of several rainy days, we did a lot and saw many beautiful sights. I will not forget those fun moments shared with you. They are engraved in my heart just like your hand-made special pendant. Hope you enjoy the rest of your journey. 😊
