Hi Everyone! Welcome to Japan.
I am an English-speaking licensed tour guide, and a registered nurse as well.
“Fun Discovering Experience Walking like a Local!” – F-D-E-W-L!
That’s what I suggest.
My work history is as follows.
1) high school teacher - 12 years
2) nurse – 8 years
3) tourism related jobs such as tour conducting, guiding, and back supporting – 6 years
As a tour conductor, I’ve visited about 20 foreign countries (possibly yours?) as well as countless towns in Japan.
I’ve enjoyed these jobs while being a mother of two girls.
Through these experiences with lots of people from different backgrounds, I've found it a great pleasure to share the joy of learning and experiencing something new!
- Tokyo, Kamakura, Hakone, Fuji, Yokohama, Nikko,
I’m a specialist in Tokyo and Kamakura as I have lived and enjoyed walking a lot in those cities for decades. To be honest, even after all my years here, I still enjoy exploring like a tourist as Tokyo is such an enormous city with great diversity and is constantly changing.
Kamakura is a historical small city with lots of hidden beautiful spots. Almost every time I go out, I feel I’m still making new discoveries. That’s why I cannot stop exploring.
I would take you to some neighboring cities like Hakone, Yokohama, and Nikko, which I’m familiar with and fond of.
- Nagoya, Nagano(Kamikochi), Hida (Takayama, Shirakawa-go), Kanazawa, Oita, Yamagata, Akita, etc. if transportation and accommodation covered.
My original family is from Nagoya, so I know their culture and even their language(dialect) well. Later in my life, I have lived in Oita, Kyushu(far south west of Tokyo) for nearly 10 years and traveled a lot in Kyushu. I’ve visited some other local areas deep in the north, too. So, I could share those experiences with you even while having tours in Tokyo.
【Personality and others】
- I love meeting people, listening and talking to them.
- I'm friendly and caring, I hope.
- I love nature. I enjoy hiking and skiing.
- I love seasonal flowers and good local food.
- You will see a lot about Japanese culture, nature, and lifestyle.
What has made you decide to come to Japan, by the way? Is it its scenic beauties, exotic culture, history, food, or what else? Is it your business that has brought (or will bring) you here? Let me have a clue and customize your tour. I will make the best tour suggestion for you.
Why don’t you contact me now? I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!
Thank you! Arigato-gozaimasu!

We did a one day private excursion with Tomoko to Kamakura from Tokyo. The first thing we noticed is that our guide is a very friendly person by nature. Very social also. The tour was organised to perfection and she took very well care of us. We did a nice nature walk and visited some small shrines and a big one. Tomoko followed up the weather report in detail and adapted our schedule so that we could do everything before the rain came. We recommend this guide who speaks well English also. Joël &Ilse. Flanders. Belgium.
Hi Joël & Ilse! Thank you for taking the time to post such a nice review. It was great fun for me to show you some of my favorite places in Kamakura. I’m glad you enjoyed it, too. It was great relief that we escaped the heavy rain while hiking. Thank you for your information about your country and safety tips while traveling. I’m looking forward to visiting beautiful places in your country someday in the future! Best wishes to you two. 😊
My family and I had the most wonderful and unforgettable visit to Japan all thanks to Tomoko’s superb tour and planning before and during our trip. She is not only extremely knowledgeable of Japanese tourist spots and culture but was passionate to fill our minds with all the beautiful things that encompasses Japan's astonishing history. We asked so many questions and she answered happily. We went from Tokyo to Fuji and Tomoko was with us enthusiastically every step of the way. If it wasn’t for her we wouldn’t have been able to accomplish and see so many places in one short day in Tokyo. It was perfect! We don’t consider her a tour guide but now a dear friend...Tomoko, maybe you are even the newest member of the family and we cannot wait to see you on our next Japan adventure, perhaps H... read more
Hi Jon and all, Thank you for the great review. I enjoyed every moment shared with you all. It was a great honor and pleasure for me to have the chance to accompany you on your special life-time occasion! I was impressed with your great appetite not only for good food but for all cultural, historical, and natural beauties of our country. I’m looking forward to seeing you again in a different season at some different beautiful places in Japan. Best wishes to you all! – Your friend and auntie Tomoko😊
What a great way to begin our time in japan! Tomoko was a delight to spend our day with! She was always on time, organized, friendly and easy to understand. She made us feel like family! Highly recommend her tour! Thank you again for your time!
Hi Julie and all! Thank you very much for taking your time to posting such a warm review. I’m glad you enjoyed the evening in Tokyo and the full day in Hakone. I really enjoyed the time with you feeling like your old friend. The day in Hakone was just great. Thank you for blowing off the clouds and soothing the strong wind. I’m sure you will have more fun together traveling around the world as you all have eaten the eggs and poured the holy water over the Jizo! Thank you again, Arigato-gozaimashita😊
It was a great tour and we enjoyed it a lot. Tomoko is an enthusiastic and very competent guide who took us for a hike around Kamakura and its highlights. She told us a lot of interesting facts about her home town Kamakura and Japan in general, we would otherwise miss. We are highly impressed by her attitude and dedication, and we could certainly recommend her services.
Hi Konstantin! Thank you very much for posting such a nice review so promptly. Before the tour, I had been worrying about the weather, but you brought beautiful sunshine to Kamakura. The hiking trail was sometimes muddy and slippery, but we enjoyed even that. I’m glad to hear you and your jolly friends from Estonia enjoyed the tour. It was great fun for me talking to you all, too. Especially, I was impressed by the story with some specific examples that you had had some stereotyped images about Japan and Japanese people, but you found out many of them were not true through your real experiences. I agree that it is the joy of traveling abroad. Lastly, I wish the money you washed in the temple will bring you great fortune and happiness😊 Hope to see you again someday!
Tomoko was an excellent guide that I would definitely recommend to anyone. Her tour allowed us to see so many great places in one day: 1) Zojoji temple and Tokyo Tower (Shiba area) 2) Sensoji temple, Asakusa 3) Kappabashi street (all goods to run restaurants) -here we went to a special japanese knife shop 4) via Butsudan street to Ueno area 5) Local Soba(back wheat) noodle restaurant 6) Ueno station and Ameya Yokocho (Ameyoko) street 7) Ueno Park - statue of Saigo Takamori, Kiyomizu Kannon temple hall, the face of Great Buddha, Ueno Toshogu shrine, etc. 8) Yanaka area - Kanneji temple, Yanaka cemetary (the last Shogun's tomb), Tennoji temple, and some other small temples and quiet residential area 9) Imperial Palace East Gardens, Outer Gardens, Nijubashi (the double bridg... read more
Hi Marisa and Florian! Thank you for taking your time to write such a nice review for me. Yes, we visited so many interesting places just in one day. It’s amazing. I’m proud of you. I’m glad you enjoyed differences of those areas. As you saw, Tokyo has many different faces and features. I genuinely enjoyed the time shared with you. The only thing I regret is that we couldn’t go through the grand gate of Zojoji (Three Emancipation Gate) because it was closed, and we still stay ‘greedy, angry and stupid’ _ hahaha. It’s just a joke. I was impressed how you are nice-hearted and smart. See you someday, again. Take care!😊 Tomoko
