Hello, I'm Hiroshi.
I am a National Government Licensed Tour Guide Interpreter in English. I have got a master's degree of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the U.S.
I have been living in a city of Fujisawa, which is the city next to Kamakura, for more than 20 years, and also lived in Kamakura for more than 10 years. So far, I have visited almost all the temples and shrines in Kamakura. So I am sure I can offer you a pleasant trip to the historical city, Kamakura.
In addition to Kamakura, I can also guide Tokyo, Yokohama, Hakone, Nikko, etc. because I have visited many places in Kanto area. For example, in Tokyo I can show you around the sightseeing spots such as Asakusa, Tsukiji, Imperial Palace, Meiji Jingu Shrine, Tokyo Skytree, etc.
I like baseball and used to play baseball, but now enjoy watching professional baseball games. And I like watching Rakugo, Japanese traditional story-telling performance.
Of course, I also like travelling very much, and am interested in Japanese culture and history. So I would like to show you about Japanese tradition and culture.
Let’s enjoy a trip in Japan together.
I am looking forward to seeing you soon.

“ Hakone tour with Hiroshi ”

Hiroshi guided my wife and I through a one day tour of the Hakone area. We communicated back and forth multiple times ahead of the trip as Hiroshi helped us work out an itinerary. He was very helpful with suggestions and working around some issues of closed areas due to the recent typhoon. Hiroshi also worked with us organizing the logistics of a morning arrival to Odawara by train, getting bulky luggage dropped at our hotel, and still managing a full day. We had an excellent day touring with Hiroshi.

Thank you very much for your review. I am happy to know that you enjoyed the tour in Hakone. But it was unfortunate we were not able to walk around Owakudani area although we were able to see Owakudani from a ropeway. We took a boat cruise on Lake Ashi and visited the old Hakone Checkpoint. We learned a lot about a checkpoint in Edo period. Hakone has a lot of nice places to visit besides the places we visited. So if you have a chance to come to Japan in the future, let's enjoy Hakone again. I am looking forward to seeing you again in Japan.

“ Very informative and relaxing experience ”

Hiroshi is very knowledgeable and very considerate and kind. He was happy to explain Japanese customs and answered all questions regarding history in customs of Japan. The day was well planned out and and we were not rushed to maintain the schedule. Our lunch at Tsukiji market excellent!!!!!! Highly recommend Hiroshi for your next adventure.

Thank you very much for your review. Although at first we were planning to go to Hakone, I am sorry we were not able to visit Hakone because of the damage by the typhoon. But I am happy to know that you enjoyed the tour in Tokyo. We visited Meiji-jingu Shrine, Tsukiji, Asakusa, etc. We saw Shichi-go-san ceremony, an annual event which celebrates growth of children, and Japanese traditional wedding at Meiji-jingu Shrine. We also visited Yanaka and felt the atmosphere of the old shopping street after the war. I hope we can get together again and visit Hakone in the near future.

“ Amazing tour guide ”

From the moment we reached out to Hiroshi, he was very timely and helpful with getting back to us. He organised the tour to suit our preferences in detail and made the tour for my parents very enjoyable. He looked out for their best interest such as keeping costs in travel down where possible. Would highly recommend Hiroshi. Thank you for taking care of my parents so well !

Thank you very much for your review. We visited Meiji-jingu Shrine and enjoyed the holy atmosphere early in the morning. At Tsukiji we enjoyed fish at lunch and tasted good coffee nearby. I am glad to hear your parents enjoyed the tour, and hope our next tour also will be enjoyable. Hiroshi

“ Very caring and sincere guide ”

Hiroshi san took me to all places as planned. He took care of all my needs and was very nice . He infact helped me buy a nice toy for my son. Showed me shibuya, sensoji, Odaiba and Shinjuku. Nothing was too much for him and he accommodated all my requests

Thank you for your review. I hope you enjoyed the two Tokyo night tours. On the first day we had a nice weather. We were able to see a beautiful night view of Tokyo from Tokyo Skytree. Sensoji Temple was beautifully lit up. But on the second day we had a little rain. If it had not rained, we could have seen a nicer night view from Odaiba. I hope we can get together again in a beautiful cherry blossom season! Hiroshi

“ Kamakura whole day tour ”

I can highly recommend Hiroshi-san as a tour guide. He organized a perfect day long tour of Kamakura for me and was very willing to be flexible with the itinerary. He was very knowledgeable about the area and local history and made the day very enjoyable.

Thank you very much for your review. As you were interested in Buddhism, we experienced a Zen meditation in the morning at Engakuji Temple. I am very happy if it was a good experience for you. After the meditation, we visited other temples and shrines, and enjoyed matcha tea, delicious lunch, etc. If you have a chance to come to Japan again, let's explore Japan together. Nikko has old temples and shrines, and Hakone has beautiful scenery. In addition, spring is the best season to visit Japan because the cherry blossoms are so beautiful. I look forward to seeing you again in the near future! Hiroshi
