Our tour with Koichi was just perfect! We have a 2 year old and a 6 year old - he brought a car seat for us and took us to Nara and showed us a lot sights on the way, he was easy to talk to and very kind and went out of his way to help with the baby stroller. He also treated us to some fresh Mochi which was amazing. I would highly recommend Koichi. Thanks for the amazing day.
I travelled to Kyoto with my family (total 5 people, 4 elders). We did one day trip to Nara, Osaka and a day in Kyoto with our base being Kyoto. Our time with Koichi San was amazing. He not only helped us understand the history and culture better, he was very empathetic to the needs of elders, patient with figuring out best routes and flexible in scheduling the day per our needs and taste. He is a very nice and genuine human being and a great company to spend your time with. I highly recommend having him your tour guide! Thank you Koichi San! Wish you very best in endeavors ahead.
I am very impressed with Mr. Koichi sama. He is very knowledgeable person with unique insights to places and historical areas. I got to know him well after four days of touring with us. The greatest assets is his ability to be flexible and modify tour schedules according to the weather(rain) and family needs(hungry kids) as I travelled with my children. He has a protective nature that helped keep my children safe as we toured to multiple sites. Our tour hours are frequently changed and usually lasted longer than it should and I am very thankful for his patience and kindness(Thankful as well to his wife). I was able to visit all the wonderful sites that the family wanted to see. Mr. Koichi sama made contact with me earlier prior to arrival to Japan to plan out the sightseeing tours which we often modified as some areas were more fun to stay longer. He also took us to an impromptu Osaka night tour on his own accord to make our whole experience complete. My family had a wonderful time and travelling to places in his new car was a great perk because it allowed the family to rest in between sights. I would have never seen those many places and wonderful shortcuts if not for him. My family members were also learning basic Japanese as he taught my two daughters basic conversational Japanese daily. He takes great family pictures which often included him in. I will surely send him copies of the pictures to remember us by. Mr. Koichi sama is a gem. He went out of his way to ensure a beautiful experience and would highly recommend him. My family misses his presence around us, he became a part of my family and proud to call him my friend. Mr. Koichi sama, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. By the way, those were very delicious Sakura Mochi and apples. I hope to see you again my friend.
Due to limited time and spread out sights, we chose Koichi to take us by car to see Arashiyama, Kinkakuji, Nijo Castle & Fushimi Inari Shrine in 7 hours. The tour surpassed our expectations, travelling by car saved us a lot of time & Koichi was very enthusiastic and explained the history & the background of all sights. He also went beyond the regular tour drove us through very pretty neighborhoods, included the Ryoanji temple when he heard we were interested. It was a great experience to see Kyoto through the eyes of a local and the private car was a great blessing, the only change I would make is to see Fushimi Inari Shrine on another day as along with the rest of the sights it became a long tiring day. I would highly recommend the private car tour with Koichi as it covers a lot of sights very efficiently with local facts, nuggets & insights thrown in. It also helps that Koichi, is a really lovely person who enjoys his tours and spending time with different people. I wish him all the best ...
My sister, two daughters and I were very excited for our Osaka Day Tour with Koichi. We agreed to meet with him in our hotel lobby at 8:30 am, but as early as 8:15 am, we were already set. We were surprised to see Koichi arrive early as well. It gave us a good impression of him. The first place we went to was the Osaka Castle. In actuality, this was not part of the itinerary because we were only going to visit Kyoto and Nara, but because Koichi insisted, he toured us around the place. Aside from going to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, Kinkakuji Golden Pavilion and Fushimi-inari Shrine in Kyoto, Koichi also showed us some places like the Geisha District, while we were on the car. It was great to see other famous spots, even for a short while. Aside from the fact that Koichi was knowledgable about the history of the places we visited, he was also very helpful when he would notice that we were getting a little tired. He would stop for awhile, ask if we’re okay, and even offer to help us in walking. Moreover, we appreciate all the little gifts or souvenirs he gave us, like the origami that his wife prepared, and the little snack he gave us. Truly, Koichi is not your usual tour guide. I forgot to mention that he also takes amazing pictures — almost all angles possible! We appreciate all of his efforts to explain Japan’s history to us. He even prepared visual aids for us to read, and we can fully attest that we really learned a lot from him. Our Osaka experience would not have been memorable without him. Koichi was more than a tour guide for us. He was our friend. Till next time! Arigato gozaimasu, Koichi!
