Hi! My name is Keiko. I am a nationally licensed tour guide who loves meeting people from different countries and cultures. I was born in Hiroshima and have spent most of my life in my hometown, Hiroshima.
I have been working as a freelance tour guide since 2014. I have a passion and love for my job, with my commitment to make your visit memorable and fun. You will find me friendly, cheerful, flexible and knowledgeable. I love kids and and I am happy to be with them. I love guiding elderly people and I am happy to talk about Japanese history walking at an unhurried pace. Because of my 9-year career as an English teacher at elementary schools, I am good at guiding people whose native language is not English. I can use very simple and easy English in my guiding so that non-native English speakers can easily understand me.
Hiroshima is world famous for its sad memory of the atomic bomb. But at the same time, Hiroshima is a brilliant city where you can enjoy beautiful scenery on Miyajima shrine island, eating local foods and tasting Japanese sake. Why don't you have a memorable day in Miyajima shrine and peace park with me?
I hope my tours suit your interests. Please feel free to contact me for further information. I can customie my tour based on your needs and I will do my best, with Japanese spirit of hospitality, to make your tour comfortable and happy.
Thank you for visiting my profile and I look forward to welcoming you in Hiroshima!

Keiko is terrific! She is friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and speaks excellent English (ask her about “15” v “50”). She took us to the Peace Memorial area and Miyajima island and made sure we saw all the key important aspects. She shared information on local life and culture. And she is a huge Hiroshima Carp baseball fan!
Thank you, Betty. It was a wonderful day and I enjoyed all the conversation with you all. I’m glad that we shared our opinion, culture, baseball info, and many other things. We made a flower of peace bloom!
Keiko was great, if we hadn’t of done the tour with her we would not have appreciated the area and the sights nearly as much. She provided great in depth detail of the monuments and personal stories which made it even more interesting. She took us to a restaurant that had the best food we would have never found ourselves! We would recommend keiko to anyone who wants to really understand and appreciate the history of Hiroshima and the island :)
Thank you Cassidy, I had a great day with you, too! I'm glad that you chose Hiroshima as your destination to learn about war history and I'm happy that you enjoyed Okonomi-yaki very much. Please enjoy the rest of your stay in Japan. Japan has lots of delicious local foods :)
We were fortunate to have a full-day, private tour of Hiroshima with Keiko. Even before we met, Keiko was incredibly helpful and communicative (via email), enabling us to plan for a special and meaningful experience. We were an extended family group of 10 persons, ranging from young teens to grandmother, and Keiko kept us all engaged and together. We had a wonderful day and for the rest of the trip, the kids asked when we could meet Keiko again. Thank you again, Keiko!
Hi Katherine, thank you for your warm message. The tour with you was so much fun for me too. I was happy your children listened to my explanation very carefully and I hope my tour was both fun and educational one for them. Let's be small pieces of a better world. May peace prevail all over the world.
Keiko was fabulous. She communicated with me a couple of days before the meeting time to confirm all details, and made that process very easy by meeting us on the train platform. Her arrangements to meet all my initial requests (from private van/driver hire to style of food for lunch) was outstanding. Her English was great, and she was able to engage our 4 teenagers really well. Her personal stories were very moving - something you couldn't get if you just took yourself around. Thanks Keiko for a perfect day in Hiroshima!
Thank you Andrea! I was amazed how carefully your kids listened to my explanations and I enjoyed all the conversation with you all. It was an amazing day for me, too. Hiroshima's history is sad but I am proud that Hiroshima can send out warm messages to the world now. May peace prevail all over the world!
Right from the very beginning when I contacted Keiko regarding the attractions I wanted to visit and the activities I wanted to see, Keiko patiently answered every question I had and offered valuable advice. When she brought us to the historical attractions such as the A-dome site, Kintaikyo Bridge and the Itsukushima Shrine, she always gave interestingly detailed information and made sure we had time to take lovely photos. Thank you so much for welcoming us warmly to Hiroshima and letting us feel at home, away from home! We really enjoyed these 4 days with you :D Eileen Singapore
Hi Eileen, Thank you for your message! I really enjoyed those 4 days with you, too. You two are charming and fun people to attend and I enjoyed our conversation, taking lots of pictures and learning how to take lovely pictures. Thank you again and I hope we will stay in touch!!
