Hi! My name is Keiko. I am a nationally licensed tour guide who loves meeting people from different countries and cultures. I was born in Hiroshima and have spent most of my life in my hometown, Hiroshima.
I have been working as a freelance tour guide since 2014. I have a passion and love for my job, with my commitment to make your visit memorable and fun. You will find me friendly, cheerful, flexible and knowledgeable. I love kids and and I am happy to be with them. I love guiding elderly people and I am happy to talk about Japanese history walking at an unhurried pace. Because of my 9-year career as an English teacher at elementary schools, I am good at guiding people whose native language is not English. I can use very simple and easy English in my guiding so that non-native English speakers can easily understand me.
Hiroshima is world famous for its sad memory of the atomic bomb. But at the same time, Hiroshima is a brilliant city where you can enjoy beautiful scenery on Miyajima shrine island, eating local foods and tasting Japanese sake. Why don't you have a memorable day in Miyajima shrine and peace park with me?
I hope my tours suit your interests. Please feel free to contact me for further information. I can customie my tour based on your needs and I will do my best, with Japanese spirit of hospitality, to make your tour comfortable and happy.
Thank you for visiting my profile and I look forward to welcoming you in Hiroshima!

I feel my choice of guide could not be any better and more connected to me . An immediate and moving journey through tradition ,religion, war, destruction and commitment to peace for the world. Thank you Keiko for sharing. Hey and yes...the best Okonomiyaki in the world is in Hiroshima
Thank you Suzi, I loved all the conversation with you. I felt as if we had met before! And also thank you for your comment about okonomi-yaki. You ate the best one in the world :)
Keiko was friendly and knowledgeable, and we really enjoyed our time on Miyajima island and in Hiroshima city with her. Funny but important tip , she advised us the deer on Miyajima island like eating paper so to keep our JR rail passes in a safe place . We then witness a tourist trying to wrestle for her pass back from a deer who had it firmly in its mouth ! Going to Ground zero where the A Bomb exploded and the Peace museum were also highlights
Thank you Rachel, the scenery where a traveler was wrestling for her JR pass , which is the most important thing besides her life and passport, was a highlight for me, too. Yes, it was a fun day. I had a great day, too, Thank you again, Rachel!
Keiko spoke excellent English. She has a great sense of humor. She planned a perfect itinerary for us. We saw a lot but weren’t rushed from place to place. We enjoyed lunch at a local restaurant that tourists and large tour groups would never find. We spent a wonderful day with Keiko and highly recommend her without any reservations.
Thank you Cynthia, the tour with you was full of fun and I'm glad you enjoyed my tour. I hope our path will cross again someday in this small world!
Keiko was very knowledgeable, accommodating with excellent English that made the tour interesting, highly educational with many facts that would have skipped us if we had done the tour on our own. She was solicitous of us considering our limitations with regards long walks.
Thank you Marie. Sharing our opinions and talking about our different cultures & history are always exciting moments for me, too. And I believe this experience will be a small piece of a better world. It was a wonderful day for me, too. Thank you again, Marie!
Keiko is terrific! She is friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and speaks excellent English (ask her about “15” v “50”). She took us to the Peace Memorial area and Miyajima island and made sure we saw all the key important aspects. She shared information on local life and culture. And she is a huge Hiroshima Carp baseball fan!
Thank you, Betty. It was a wonderful day and I enjoyed all the conversation with you all. I’m glad that we shared our opinion, culture, baseball info, and many other things. We made a flower of peace bloom!
