I grew up in Fukuoka and Tokyo. I went to Paris and studied French and have experience working for Tokyo offices of international companies in various industries. My spouse has a bicultural background (French and American), as do my two children (Japanese and American). When I was a little girl, I learned Japanese dance (Nihon buyou), tea ceremony (Sado), calligraphy (Shodo), and flower arrangement (Kado). My hobby now is to travel within Japan, to visit my daughter in San Francisco, and to revisit Paris.
I am looking forward to sharing my love of Japan and Japanese culture with you and helping you experience something special when you visit Japan.

Kaoruko was very professional and explained us the world of Summo. Very good English and lots of empathy made Kaoruko a very good and enjoyable guide.
We learned a lot about the sumo wrestling sport, and about its history on the sumo early morning practice and sumo museum tour. Kaoruko was on time, and she was very informative. She was very nice and made our time together a pleasant experience.
Thank you for this nice review. I'm glad to know that you liked the tour. I enjoyed guiding you too. I hope that you will have a nice time and good experience while you travel in Japan! Thank you again and best regards, Kaoruko
Kaoruko was punctual & a wonderful guide. She speaks fluent English & French. She took us by train to the stables from our apartment in Shibuya. I was surprised how long this took. We did not arrive until around 9am to the stables. There was also NO museum experience as was promoted which was disappointing- However it was an incredible experience being permitted to enter the stable and the training room to see these very big, impressive men dressed only in a loin cloth and smeared with clay from the practice ring, their toes and fingers bandaged, stretching and sparring in turn with each other. We were very disappointed that the sesssion ended only 10 minutes after our arrival. Training had been cut unexpectedly short due to an event. Kaoruku was very apologetic and with her assistance we ... read more

Kaoruko was fantastic! she was really helpful when I got of at the wrong stop and even met me at the station I was at. She introduced us to some sumo and even gave us a gift from the sumo. Excellent experience, highly recommend her as a guide.
Susie, Thank you for your nice review!! I loved to see you both who are enjoying to be in Tokyo!! Kaoruko
Kaoruko was amazing in guiding us through the streets of Japan to the Sumo stable for training. The training itself was incredible and gives you a huge appreciation for the athletes these men are. Kaoruko was in touch with us to confirm details within no time. She was even kind enough to advise that the training might not be as long as normal on the days suggested and checked if this was still fine. The training was still very long and more than what we hoped for. Even with our satisfaction being more than met, we were provided an extra bonus present from Kaoruko, via the stable, as a gift for the shortened session. Such a gesture which was a cherry on top of an amazing experience. A must do!!!
Thank you for this nice review! I am very happy to know that you enjoyed the tour. Did you go to the organic vegan restaurant in Asakusa? I hope you have a nice time and more new experiences in Japan!
