Welcome to Japan!! (English version: standard tours start with 0..)
¡Bienvenidos a Japón! (Versión en español: recorridos estándar empieza con 1..)
Bem vindos ao Japão! (Versão em português: passeio padrão inicia com 2..)
I am Mitsuru, I work as tour guide in Tokyo and Kanto region. I am a Japanese national, born and raised in Brazil, lived in Australia for about 2 years and I love traveling, hiking, ride a bicycle, meet different people.. ice cream!!
I’d say Tokyo is so unique city, because it is not only the political capital, but also the largest Japanese city for business, entertainment, shopping and gastronomy. Since 6 years ago, when Tokyo was choosen to host 2020 Olympic Games, this metropolis is becoming even better.
I’d love to guide you based on 3e: entertainment, educational and experience, so as most as possible, let’s learn about the past, let’s enjoy the present and let’s get excited with the future!
Looking forward to see you in Japan!

Mitsuru’s attention to detail, flexibility, knowledge and amiable personality make him an outstanding guide. I wanted to see some of Tokyo’s highlights in one day, and Mitsuru exceeded my expectations. He navigated an unfamiliar city and showed me many different characteristics of Tokyo. One day became a lifetime of good memories.
Mitsu was a very agreeable guide, anxious to make sure we saw what we were interested in seeing. We were going to Nikko one day and had a day in Tokyo by ourselves. He spent a lot of time making sure we were comfortable traveling by ourselves. Highly recommend!
We arranged for Mitsuru to guide us in Tokyo due to limited time in the city and to make sure we made the most of our day. We was on a cruise and so only had 9 hours to see the key sights of the city. Mitsuru met us in Yokohama where our ship docked and guided us around using the Metro system and by walking where possible (which was our choice!). He had a prepaid card to use on the Metro system for us to use which meant that using the transport was easy during the day. He had produced a suggested tour but had options for us so that we could choose what to do. We covered the key sights as expected, had some great food in a teppanyaki restaurant and had fun at the Cat Cafe. Mitsuru was friendly, informative and punctual and a real joy to spend the day with. We had a great day in... read more
Before my brother and I travel someplace new we always try to do our homework. Despite our best efforts, we found ourselves making rookie mistakes basically upon arrival. Thankfully our past selves had the brilliant idea to hire Mitsuru. On the first real day of our trip, Mitsuru gave us a succinct crash course tour of Tokyo. We covered various places of interest as well as basic navigational tips that greatly benefitted us all the days that followed. The metro seemed daunting to an outsider but after Mitsuru thoroughly helped/showed us, every time we stepped on a train we felt like pros. The tip about various discounts for foreign passports saved us a lot on our Shinkansen tickets to Kyoto. In my opinion, Mitsuru went beyond what was expected when it came to helping us out. On top of ever... read more
Dear Rachele and Nick, thank you very much for writing me such a wonderful review!! I like to see how you and Nick are close, great siblings! :) It was awesome guiding you guys and I was so impressed with the excellent homework you did! But yeah, although we spend a lot of time studying things about our travel destinations, it is always not enough.. surely helps a lot, but in practice, things can be different. In the case of TOKYO, things change every single day, especially due to the Olympic Games 2020. Every time I walk around Shibuya Ward, scenarios are different, it’s unbelievable how fast we can change the city’s geography.. I also hire local guides when I travel abroad and this is so convenient these days.. Different cultures, systems, languages, values and point of views that enrich... read more
We spent a full day with Mitsuru touring Tokyo. We also hired a van and driver for the tour which was excellent. Matsuru did a great job! He knows Tokyo extremely well, including the history, but more importantly he is clearly proud of and passionate about both Tokyo and Japan. He speaks great English which makes it all easy. I can’t recommend Mitsuru enough - as well as a great guide he’s a great guy!
G’day Mike! It was awesome to guide you, Irene, Jenny and Bob! What a multicultural group.. Also, private van service that you hired was soo convenient, especially during some rainy moments and to pick us up at the pier in the other side of Tokyo Bay! Yes, I love Tokyo and Japan from Hokkaido to Okinawa, but also NZL, Korea, USA and AUS, especially Queensland lol. I know this is reciprocal, since this was not the 1st time in Japan for you guys! Hope you can enjoy the rest of your stay, including RUGBY matches, bronze and the final at the massive International Stadium Yokohama. Thanks for everything and cheers Wallabies and All Blacks!! Please don’t hesitate to contact me in the near future! Hugs and all the best, Mitsuru Japan
