We had a wonderful experience in our tour of Nara, Japan with Masahisa. There were four of us in our group and Masahisa considered the interests of each of us. Masahisa led us from our hotel in Kyoto to the town of Nara and then back to our hotel. We initially experienced the shopping district and had lunch in Nara and then proceeded to the monumental Buddhist and Shinto temple complex and grounds established around the 6th and 7th century AD. Masahisa has a wealth of knowledge, sharing the rich... view more

Noriko is a highly competent and conscientious professional guide. I thoroughly enjoy spending the day with her and will book her again on my next trip to Wakayama which incidentally is a very interesting place and outlaying cities like Yuasa is worth a visit view more
Yasuo is a very good guide who really knows the area very well. We w ent to several interesting places and towns in addition to the major shrines. Although his English speaking is not very good, his understanding is much better. He understood us and made the tour very good., particularly since we had.done a lot of advance research on this area and did not require much more explanation. Other English speaking tourists might not be as satisfied with his level of English. He is a very smart and... view more
Masaki was a wonderful and accommodating guide who was able to put together 2 days of off -the-beaten track adventures to Yuasa and Tsukigase. For us, traveling to a different country means meaningful interactions with locals and their way of life and this was encapsulated in our 2 days with Masaki. He was detailed oriented and meticulous. We couldn’t have asked for a better traveling companion! view more
I have no words to describe how amazing Noriko-san is. She is a guide, but I was looking for someone to help to trace my family back in Wakayama-ken. She offered more help than I could have asked for and she did a lot more than could have ever asked anyone for. I get emotional by writing this because she is exceptional. She goes the extra mile to please her client, and we literally went knocking doors to look for my relatives. She is fantastic, a blessed soul in my life. Noriko-san, I will be fo... view more
Noriko was the best guide we had during our 12 day stay in Japan. My family of 5, with 3 children, spend two days with her. Prior to our first meeting, she took her personal time and money to help me find my Japanese relatives about 45 minutes outside the city we were staying. I was amazed at the quality of her guide work and ability to communicate with my entire family. I would recommend her with 100% confidence view more
I have an interest in traditional Japanese fermented foods and contacted Noriko via Triplelights for a visit to Yuasa, the home of Japanese soy sauce. We met at Yuasa train station and walked around town for the next five hours visiting two soy sauce makers, and a kinzanjimiso maker. Noriko had researched the tour thoroughly before I arrived, and was very professional, friendly and pleasant to be with throughout the tour. Soy sauce icecream with soy sauce topping was a surprise culinary hig... view more
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour with Noriko last week to Wakayama and to visit the Cat Station Masters. She is a very friendly, charming, knowledgeable and is passionate about what she does. Her english is excellent! Before the tour, she was very prompt to answers to my emails and made the extra effort to check out the information I requested regarding trains facilities, timing, special train type. And on the day of the walk, she made sure that we felt comfortable. She... view more
I asked ERI to guide us around the area where my mother grew up in the Wakayama prefecture. With this rather nebulous request ERI started asking some important questions thru emails. Then she went to work researching this area for clues to my relatives lives from 1922 thru 1935. By the time we arrived in Wakayama she had developed a custom tour for us that was so amazing and incredible for all of us, including our grandson. She went way beyond all of our expectations with skill and hard work she... view more
Masaki was really helpful in every way. He joined us for a great day in Mt Koya and showed us all the special places it had to offer. His knowledge of all things spiritual with regard to Buddhism and Shintoism was very impressive. He was able to give us such detail whenever we asked about specific things we saw. This was no easy task as he did this amongst century old structures with no writing or vague signage. His depth of historical knowledge was truly served well at Mt Koya for there is jus... view more
