Do you know sake?
Called Nihonshu, or rice wine, sake has been consumed for many centuries as a popular alcoholic drink in Japan.
This tour takes you to a Sake Brewery nestled in the west of Yokohama, suitable for those staying in Yokohama and Tokyo.
Feel free to personalize this offer with Aki.
The Sake Brewery has a firm belief, “Making sake is from growing rice”.
At the brewery, we will participate in the brewery’s tour.
We can see a beautiful paddy field stretching into fertile land. We get into the brewery and learn how sake is made there. Then, we will taste several types of sake made from the rice and pure water produced in the area. It would be a wonderful experience to get in touch with Japanese culture.
If you like, you can purchase bottled sake and related products including plum liqueur, soy sauce and sake cups at the brewery.
The tour goes like this,
Meet at JR Yokohama Station. Then move to the brewery by train and taxi.
Arrive at the brewery where we will participate in a brewery’s tour led by the staff.
The brewery’s tour starts. We’ll see the beautiful paddy field adjacent to the brewery.
We’ll see the facilities of the brewery and learn how sake is made there.

After the tasting, you can drop in at a small shop selling sake and related products in the brewery.

We had only 5 hours to visit Kamakura....and gave Aki an almost impossible mission. He succeeded! We saw all of the major sites and enjoyed the wonderful explanations that Aki provided with clear and nuanced English.
Dear Jerome, Thank you so much for giving me such an excellent rating and review! That's very nice of you to say. I hope you are all fine after the tour on a hot day. It was my pleasure to have guided you around Kamakura. Thanks for choosing me as your tour guide! Sincerely, Aki
Aki was a great guide. He took us to all the places we were interested in and was flexible in his plans given our interests and needs. He clearly knew his way around the island and all the museums. Couldn't have asked for more.

From Osaka, with Aki guiding us, we arrived on Naoshima. If it weren’t for Aki I’m afraid we’d still be wandering aimlessly around. While on the island; Aki’s knowledge of the architect represented here and the designers/artists was great. With his guidance we could just follow as had clear understanding Of how to navigate the island. This provided a pleasureable day. As I got a sense of his services and then began arranging the itinerary, Aki was incredibly quick in his responses to my many online questions. He speaks English very well. One can’t go wrong with Aki’s guidance

Aki was a very knowledgeable and accommodating tour guide! We had to reduce our time in Nikko by an hour and Aki was able to manage the schedule with ease while still covering everything we wanted to see. We learned a lot and a had beautiful day exploring. I would absolutely recommend him as a guide!
Dear Kelli, Thank you so much for giving me such an excellent review! I’m very happy to hear that you enjoyed a day in Nikko. I enjoyed touring with you too. I hope you are all fine after a day tour on a hot day. Thanks for coming to Nikko and choosing me as your tour guide! Sincerely, Aki
Naoshima was a lovely day-trip destination from our port in Takamatsu. Our guide, Aki, arranged for a high speed boat for our 6-member group to travel to and from the island, which was a bracing trip and a great way to go (faster and less crowded than the ferry). We had a lovely day looking at modern art on the island, including the spectacular and very unusual Chichu art museum. Aki was very pleasant, full of information, was easy to understand (his diction is excellent), and knew how to negotiate the island in the most efficient fashion. He helped us order delicious Udon noodles for lunch (the area's famous for them), and was happy to talk about any topic we raised. A lovely, special day.
Dear Nancy, Thank you so much for giving me such an excellent review! That’s very kind of you to say. I’m very happy to hear that you enjoyed the trip to Naoshima. It was really a beautiful day. I also enjoyed touring and had a wonderful time with you, your husband, and your friends. Thanks for coming to Takamatsu and Naoshima! Sincerely, Aki
