“ Good for limited duration tours ”

Kashima san was very prompt and helpful in designing our itinerary. We travelled as a family group of 14 people visiting Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo and Kashima san was very patient and responsive. He is helpful and pretty good in communicating in English. There are however some tourist attractions that he has not been to for some time so his awareness of wheelchair accessibility etc was limited. I would recommend Kashima san for one or 2 day trips rather than a multi-city long duration tour.

KASHIMA:

Devayani san, Thank you very much for your great and helpful review for me. We could have a very pleasant tour during 8 days with all 14 people of you and your family using Van transportation ranging from Kyoto area to Tokyo area. You kindly reserved Van service for 8 days. We visited Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Himeji, Tokyo and Hakone. Thanks to all your family strong curiosity for Japanese history and culture, I could explain about those in detail during the tour. As you kindly pointed out to me, at this time I could not well manage to select tour spots and escort for your family who use wheelchairs. This was my first time to take care for the case. Based on this precious experience, I will improve to manage for wheelchair supporting. I am looking forward to receiving another tour guiding req... read more

“ Impress 12-year old boy ”

We visited Odaiba (gaming center-Gundam- Statue of Liberty), Takeshita street, Shibuya crossing, Godzilla, Samurai Museum, ...

KASHIMA:

Dimitri san, Thank you very much for your great review for me. I am very much pleased that your 12-year old son could enjoy and felt impressed for the experience of Tokyo tour, specially playing several advanced games in Odaiba and watching Samurai sword play and sword fighting between two Samurais in Samurai museum. I could introduced six different types of town such as Asakusa (old fashioned style town), Odaiba (enormous entertainment town), Takeshita-street (most advanced fashion places of dispatch, specially for young girls), Omotesando(sophisticated street for young and mature adults), Shinjuku (the most bustling entertainment town for all generations) and Shibuya(the most famous busy town, specially as Shibuya crossing and Hachi dog). I hope that you could enjoy those towns. I am l... read more

“ 2 days 2 cities ”

Kashima was wxcellent. We had Kashima guide us for 1 day in Kyoto and 1 day in Tokyo a few days later. Though we did a lot of sightseeing on our own in both cities, they were more local to where we were staying, Kashima guided us to places more out of the way, e.g. Golden Temple in Kyoto and Meiji Shrine in Tokyo. He was a great guide, very friendly, very informative about the places we visited as well as a more general history of Japan and the cities we visited. He also helped is with traditions and manners whilst in Japan. We finished our day in Tokyo in a Whisky bar in Ginza, which Kashima picked out specifically as we are from Scotland. Whilst in there having dinner and a few drinks he really came out of his shell and we got to know Kashima the person so much better. We would have ... read more

KASHIMA:

David san, Thank you very much for your warm and utmost review for me. I am very much impressed that one of your primary purpose to come to Japan is to celebrate your son as memorial age of 21 years old of your country custom. During the 2 days tour of Kyoto and Tokyo, we visited Arashiyama, temple/garden, bamboo forest, Golden pavilion, Fushimi-inari shrine in Kyoto and Asakusa/temple, Meiji shrine, Harajuku, Shibuya, Shinjuku and Ginza in Tokyo. I like Japanese history, specially about the human drama of Samurai top worriers for each era of Heian, Kamakura, Azuchi-Momoyama and Edo. I am pleased that you could take my explanation as worth to hear. Also, we could enjoy an experience of brief tasting of Yakitori with drinking at Omoideyokocho open food stand in Shinjuku. Finally, it was a v... read more

“ Unforgettable Japan Vacation ”

Kashima was very helpful in all aspects. He’s very flexible with the time and tour changes because of the weather. We enjoyed and learned a lot the entire 8 days exploring around Japan from culture, history and food. Kashima shows us how amazing Japan is, he’s very patience and at the same time extremely knowledgeable. Thank you so much for a memorable vacation Kashima!

KASHIMA:

Tina san, Thank you very much for your great and utmost review for me. We could have a very pleasant tour during 8 days with all 8 people of you and your family. We visited Tokyo, Kamakura, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka and Kobe which completely cover the best tour spots of Japan and we could visit historically important cities which all used to be the capital in Japan. Specially, I am very much pleased that you and your freind enjoyed wearing Kimono and walking around Gion street and also your kids could enjoyed a lots in Monkey park of Kyoto feeding food to them. The weather of the tours of Kyoto area on first half were fine, however that of Tokyo area on second half were almost rainy due to rainy season started. However, we could well make communication to find out the best way to re-arrange the t... read more

“ One Day Tokyo Tour Experience ”

There's six of us in the group and it's our 16th day in Japan. Tokyo is the last place we will visit and we're all excited because Tokyo is a famous city. The excitement turned into disappointment because we booked five tours with TripleLights and our previous guides were excellent, fun, and organized. We have a comparison and Kashima was not prepared compared to those other guides. Many times, he will tell us to wait and step aside on the streets and he will asked for directions at the Train Information Desk. He barely communicated with us and will not offer to take us pictures. We had a hard time looking for lunch and there was a miscommunication with the waiter when I requested for a fork. He served each one of us a bottle of Coke. I know it's not Kashima's fault, but if he will just sp... read more

KASHIMA:

Angelina san, Thank you very much for your honest and helpful review for me and selecting me as a guide for you precious tour. I am so sorry that I could not have your tour be memorable and make you feel boring due to my insufficient supporting for your tour. One thing I need to make sure is that our original agreed tour plan was Tsukiji market, Asakusa, Tokyo cruising, Hamarikyu garden, Meiji shrine and Shibuya crossing. On the tour day, according to your latest request to avoid cruising and temples, we skipped Tokyo-cruising, Hamarikyu garden and Meiji shrine, instead we visited Rikugien garden. I can be anytime flexible to change the tour plan according to customers request. However, at this time I could not well support for the change of the plan for you. Because I learned that I nee... read more
