Sailing Ship “ Nippon-maru”
First you visit Sailing Ship “Nippon-maru” which is located just 10 minutes walk from JR Sakuragi-cho station. The ship was built in 1930 as training ship for Marine students and moored here after her retirement. You can have an exciting cabin tour for about 40 minutes.
If you wish and have a time, you can visit neighboring Yokohama Port Museum where you can understand the history of Yokohama Port. It takes about 40 minutes to watch around. (Option)
There are two types of factory. One is “My Cupnoodles Factory” where you can make your own cup noodle selecting your favorite soup and ingredients. It takes about 45minutes. This course is recommended to under elementary student. Another is “Chicken Ramen Factory” where you make chicken ramen by hand starting with kneading. It takes about 90 minutes. This course is recommended to more than junior high school students. There is another attractive facility in the building like Creative Thinking Boxes, Cupnoodles Park and Noodles Bazaar. Red Brick Warehouse
There are two red brick warehouses which were originally built in 1910’s. The buildings are now used as shops, restaurants, and event spaces. You can enjoy nostalgic harbor atmosphere here.
Osanbashi Yokohama International Passenger Terminal
The present terminal was renovated in 2002 when FIFA Succor World Cup was held in Japan and Korea. Huge passenger ship like “Queen Elizabeth II” can berth at the pier, and you can see elegant passenger ship if you are lucky. You can walk around gentle sloping wood deck floors, and you can command 360-degree panoramic harbor view including Yokohama Bay Bridge.
Minato Mirai 21 District (Landmark Plaza, Dockyard Garden, Landmark Tower, etc.)
In Minato-Mirai 21 District, there are many attractive sightseeing spots like Old Railway Promenade, Dockyard Garden, Landmark Plaza, Landmark Tower, etc. You can enjoy shopping at Landmark Plaza. When you go up to “Sky Garden”, observatory of Landmark Tower which is in 68th floor (273 meters high), you can enjoy 360-degree panoramic view, and you can see Mt. Fuji if the weather is fine
