What to Expect

Yokohama Minatomirai faces the ocean and overlooks magnificent scenery. It has many different museums, amusements, shopping malls, hotels and so on. First, we visit Hara Model Railway Museum, which features about 1,000 model trains including rare ones collected by Hara Nobutaro from worldwide. In addition, you would be amazed at the large-scale and extraordinarily elaborate diorama. Next, enjoy creating own original cupnoodles with favorite soup, ingredients and a cup design at Cupnoodles Museum. If you want, you can make chicken ramen from scratch (it takes 90 min. and needs a booking). Finally, we drop by Red Brick Warehouse, a symbol of Yokohama. The two structures were built about 100 years ago and now have shops of stylish selections. Yokohama is just 30 min. far from Tokyo by train and people of all ages can enjoy. Why don't you join me? (This is a walking tour, however we can take a bus if we get tired.)

Hello. I am Masako and a national certified tour guide.
I was born and raised in Tokyo and have lived in Yokohama for about 30 years. So, I am familiar with both Tokyo and Yokohama. Tokyo is an eclectic city, traditional and modern, having many must-see sightseeing spots. I promise you will have an exciting day and enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine! While Yokohama is a new city, but proud of its great influence on Japan's modernization. It takes only a half hour by train from Tokyo but the atmosphere is completely different. You will find a special fascination. Looking forward to seeing you and showing you around my beautiful cities! read more

“ Very professional and goes beyond what is expected ”

Even when it wasn't part of her duties, Masako helped me in finding and booking restaurants for my group, which consisted of vegetarians and non-vegetarians. She was always keeping me updated on our itinerary and worked around our schedule. She was very professional. Will definitely book her again for another tour!

“ Tokyo Highlights ”

Masako was our tour guide for Tokyo. Since we arrived from Canada the night before, we booked her for two short days (5 hours each) rather than one long and exhausting day. Over those days we covered most of the popular sites and Masako showed us how to use the subway system so we were confident to visit other places on our own. She provided us with a great introduction to Japanese history and culture.

Masako was a great tour guide for my family. We have 2 daughters. She was very kind and accommodating to them. They had certain goals during the tour and she was flexible in making changes to our itenerary. My kids still talk about how much they miss her. She was pleasant, knowledgeable, spoke English well and was a greater tour guide. Thanks Masako for making our time in Tokyo great!. Thanks, Miller Family

“ Traveling with a kawai baby ”

Msako was incredibly helpful in developing a flexible schedule. We traveled with a 14 month old baby and had to slow down quite a lot and go off the original proposal. We spent 12 days in Japan and had a great time. The tour we took with Masako helped make the rest of the trip go smoothly as she helped us figure out transportation and gave us a lot more confidence to explore.

“ A Wonderful Time in Tokyo ”

We spent 3 very enjoyable days with Masako in Tokyo. In addition to going the extra mile, and organising a cooking class for us, she was always punctual, patient and flexible with our timing and interests. She is a very personable guide and shared a great deal of history and cultural interests with us. Thank you again so much Masako. We hope to meet you again someday.

“ Great Time.With Masako ”

Masako was awesome! She arrived at our hotel promptly and helped us with rail passes and SUICA cards. As we visited the sights, she shared her knowledge of the history of Tokyo, which made the experiences more meaningful. She was very accommodating when we asked to adjust the walking pace and to stop for a brief walk through a specialty store. This is exactly what we wanted on a customized tour. The restaurant for lunch was very good, the variety of choices on the menu was perfect for our group, and the prices were very reasonable. Masako was very warm and friendly, her command of the English language was very good, and her customer service was the BEST! She truly took an interest in making our first-day experience in Tokyo a safe and memorable one. She did not rush us and stayed with us beyond our scheduled time with her. Mahalo, Masako!

“ Happy with the friendliness and warmth of Masako! ”

Masako was very helpful and accommodating as I had a change of hotel at last minutes notice. She came to the hotel to pick up my parents and showed them around Tokyo for a day and was flexible in making changes to the itinerary when the places chosen wasn't open for the day. My father briefly mentioned that he was experiencing some skin discomfort and she proactively brought him to the pharmacy and helped bought some medicated cream for him. She was very prompt in providing me with the contact details and I was assured that my parents were in good hands and they enjoyed the day trip tremendously and I wish to thank Masako for being such a good host!

Masako was a great guide, starting even before the day of the tour. She was very helpful and flexible with planning the tour around our interests and maximizing the efficiency of the tour time so we could see everything we wanted. It was nice to have a local guide to tell us the background/history about the different sites we saw (Imperial Palace Garden, Akihabara, Sensoji Temple). Even though we went over the originally scheduled time, Masako was willing to stay with us until we saw everything that was scheduled on the tour. She was also helpful in suggesting other places to see and eat during our stay in Japan. Thank you so much for welcoming us to Japan!

We booked the Tokyo tour with Masako as a tour guide and were very happy with her. As we were a large group (20 people) of cruise passengers, she needed to pick us up at the pier, bought all the subway/train tickets ahead of time and pre-ordered lunch at the busy restaurant in Tokyo. We had a very good time in Meiji shrine and Asakusa. Masako is nice, knowledgeable, and flexible to accommodate our needs. I would not hesitate to recommend her to other potential clients.

We had a wonderful time with her guild our first Tokyo tour. Our family enjoy her knowledge of Tokyo and special my kids. The driver she hired for our tour know his location and always waiting for us at the exit. So my parents in law don't need to walk a lot. Thank you her tour.
