What to Expect

What comes to mind when you hear "Traditional Tokyo"? Today, we will experience a classic aspect of Tokyo. The first destination is one of the must-see spots: Asakusa. Since early times, Asakusa has been the center of entertainment and attracted many people for centuries. You will be transported into a lively atmosphere and soaked in a festive mood. Then, we will walk around Yanaka, where houses and streets look as if they were still in the good old days. We will stroll for about one hour and enjoy local everyday life, and also view small temples and the last shogun' s resting place. Finally, we will visit Rikugi-en garden. It is a graceful feudal lord garden that symbolizes Japanese poetry. I am sure you will be satisfied with the calm and peaceful surrounds. Perhaps you would like a teahouse. “ Happy with the friendliness and warmth of Masako! ”

Masako was very helpful and accommodating as I had a change of hotel at last minutes notice. She came to the hotel to pick up my parents and showed them around Tokyo for a day and was flexible in making changes to the itinerary when the places chosen wasn't open for the day. My father briefly mentioned that he was experiencing some skin discomfort and she proactively brought him to the pharmacy and helped bought some medicated cream for him. She was very prompt in providing me with the contact details and I was assured that my parents were in good hands and they enjoyed the day trip tremendously and I wish to thank Masako for being such a good host!

MASAKO:
Adrian, Thank you very much for the kind words. I am glad to hear your parents enjoyed the tour. They are good walkers, which helped me a lot. I respect your father's wisdom and mother's consideration. I am also impressed by your affection for your parents. I should learn it. I hope your family had a great time in Japan. When you return here, I would like to see all of you. Again thank you very much! Masako

Masako was a wonderful guide who showed us the highlights of Tokyo and the surrounding areas during our 3 day stay. She was very patient and flexible with the requested changes in schedule including an unexpected stop at a Cat Cafe for our teenagers! Masako was also helped us appreciate the sights we visited with her knowledge of the history of Tokyo and the area. We truly enjoyed our 3 days! Thank you Masako!

MASAKO:
Hi Michelle, Thank you very much for the lovely comment! I greatly appreciate it. I was pleased you were interested in Japanese traditional culture, such as temples and shrines, and also I was happy to hear your special knowledge of plants. All of you are very friendly and caring. I can feel I have known you since long ago. It was wonderful to be with you and tour around. Please express my gratitude to your sister and brilliant daughters also. Masako

Masako was a great guide, starting even before the day of the tour. She was very helpful and flexible with planning the tour around our interests and maximizing the efficiency of the tour time so we could see everything we wanted. It was nice to have a local guide to tell us the background/history about the different sites we saw (Imperial Palace Garden, Akihabara, Sensoji Temple). Even though we went over the originally scheduled time, Masako was willing to stay with us until we saw everything that was scheduled on the tour. She was also helpful in suggesting other places to see and eat during our stay in Japan. Thank you so much for welcoming us to Japan!

MASAKO:
Hi Tiffany, Thank you very much for the comment! I appreciate it. It was wonderful to be with you. I was glad you have a powerful thirst for knowledge and that I was questioned about Japan and Japanese culture a lot. I hope you enjoyed Ghibli Museum the next day and Mt. Fuji on Friday. I am deeply impressed by your personality. All of you are honest and sincere, not to mention friendliness. It was a nice chat with you, which has become my source of energy. When you return to Japan, let me know. Again thank you very much!
