“ Amazing Guide Toshi san ”

Toshi San is an excellent and experienced guide. She is very knowledgeable in all the places she took us. She came to came to our hotel to pick us up and took us to all the placed and activities that we wanted to see and do. I have a knee problem and stairs are a problem. She went over and beyond to accommodate this. You may need to buy her a small snack, it she is totally worth it! Thank you Toshi San we will be back! -- Sheila Cemer Houston Texas

Toshi(T-chan):

Thank you, Sheila! So glad to hear you had fun. I quite enjoyed our two-day tour, too. It was gratifying to see how much you liked Japanese food. We had a lot to eat on the tour! Good luck black eggs in Hakone (eggs boiled in the hot spring believed to extend our lives by an extra 7 years), curry-pan (doughnut filled with curry paste), sushi at the Tsukiji Fish Market, and taiyaki (fish-shaped pancake filled with red bean paste). Let’s have ramen together next time! Hope to see you again sometime soon! PS: Snacks are not necessary, but I wouldn't say No to it. ;-)

“ 4 hours with Toshi ”

We had a great time with Toshi. Toshi arrived at our hotel as organised and she took us where we wanted to go. She explained the metro to us, showed us buildings and explained their history. Toshi gave us the confidence to use the metro on our own and visit convenience stores etc. Thanks Toshi for helping us.

Toshi(T-chan):

Thank you, Sandra! You were here at the perfect shopping season. Many stores offer huge discounts for the "First Sale of the New Year” and “lucky bags” in the first week of January. Wasn't it fun to get your shoes at a huge discount in Harajuku? Tokyo has so much more to offer! Please come back so we can explore them together (a different season is also good). Hope to see you again!

“ Tokyo pt 1 ”

8 of us had a fantastic day. Toshi was totally flexible and took us to places we wouldn’t of thought to go. 4 adults and 4 teen girls had a great time. We have Booked Toshi again in a couple weeks when back in Tokyo. Thankyou

Toshi(T-chan):

Hi George! I quite enjoyed our tour, too. Thank you for bringing bright sunny weather with you! The view of Mt Fuji and the Tokyo skyline was made more breathtaking by the clear skies! We had a pretty nice vantage point, didn't we? Lucky for us, the holiday crowd had already dissipated when we went on tour. The Nissan Ginza Gallery really has something for everyone, doesn't it? It was fun to check out the latest model vehicles, VR racing, and the Macchi-Art latte. The personalized latte with the girls' portraits on them looked almost too pretty to drink. Insta-worthy indeed! Let’s explore more of Tokyo when you get back from Hokkaido. See you in a few days!

“ Perfect layover in Tokyo! ”

We had a 12 hour layover in Japan (HND) and didn't want to spend it sitting in the airport, so we researched available tours and found Triplelight to have excellent reviews. We picked T-chan as a potential guide based on excellent reviews and a humorous video she had posted to her profile. We were right! T-chan arranged a perfect tour for us. We were able to get out of the city and see some of Japan's beautiful temples, eat delicious food and take advantage of all the excellent modes of public transportation available. T-chan was a knowledgeable guide who was flexible around shopping and eating times/places. She was friendly and helpful, she made sure we were back to the airport with plenty of time to spare. Next time we are in Tokyo we will book with T-chan again! Diane Sisson

Toshi(T-chan):

Thank you, Diane! Glad to know you both had fun; I did too! Did the tour help you stretch your arms and legs during your layover? Enoshima Island features beautiful nature, Japanese culture and religion. Exploring the cave shrine by candle light was quite an interesting experience, wasn’t it? It’s a prime example of how we blend two religions (Shintoism and Buddhism) in Japan. Let’s take a walk in Tokyo to see the cherry blossoms next time! Come back soon!

“ Very Thoughtful and Knowledgeable ”

Toshi was a fantastic guide. She was at our hotel promptly to pick us up at the time we had accorded. She was very cognizant of my elderly parents for whom walking up and down stairs could be difficult so she always tried to find escalators and elevators. She provided many insights throughout the tour and used printed out maps and pictures to help us better understand Tokyo. I’d definitely recommend her to someone else.

Toshi(T-chan):

Thank you, Brian! I'm happy to hear you liked the visual aids I made. I do my best to give my tours a human touch and local flavor. That's not something even Google Maps can do (yet!). How do you feel about another family trip back here? (Perhaps in two years' time?) What we saw wasn't even half of the main Tokyo attractions. Spring is particularly beautiful when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. It's an entirely different experience altogether! Hope to see you again soon!
