Overview

This is a customized- seven -hour- tour including tea ceremony experience. During the tour, you will experience a formal tea ceremony for about one hour . The rest of the time is up to you. Please choose two places among the highlight list. I will add another place based on your request if we have more time during the tour. If you have any other places you'd like to visit, please let me know.

What to Expect

Just visiting sightseeing spots is fun, but I think doing that after experiencing and understanding the essence of Japanese culture, tea ceremony, may give you much greater fun. You will experience a formal tea ceremony served by a tea ceremony teacher in kimono in a traditional Japanese tea room. If you like, you will be able to serve another bowl of green tea by yourself . It's a special experience like being soaked in a traditional Japanese atmosphere with tatami mats, flower arrangement, painting scroll, fancy sweets...e.t.c . After that, let's start sightseeing wherever you llike . You may be able to enjoy Tokyo from the different angle .

“ Excellent guide ”

My husband and I spent our first two days in Tokyo with Keiko, and we are so glad we did. Keiko is adorable and we had the best time. Her English was great too. Keiko showed us all over Tokyo and set up a traditional tea service for us as well. She helped customize our tour to fit in as much as possible in the 2 days we were together. She not only took us around, she taught us so much about the culture which came in handy as we spent an additional 7 days in Japan. I highly recommend using Keiko if you are in Japan. Just be warned, wear comfortable shoes as Keiko is quick and walks fast! We had a great time, it was a perfect introduction to Japan.

Keiko:

Dear Mindy Thank you very much for your wonderful review of my tour. You visited mostly must-see places in Tokyo where special displays for Tanabata Festival welcomed you. But you found much more , something very special . For example, you played the guitar in Shibuya guitar shop, bought special pick at Asakusa, experienced authentic tea ceremony in fancy kimono and served each other...etc. You enjoyed Japanese food, too, such as authentic Sushi at Tsukiji , Yakitori at Omoide Yokocho in Shinjuku, Ichigo daifuku (mochi with strawberry ), Melon pan( melon flavored bread) ...etc. As the result, you made the two days very special . It was my greatest pleasure to see that both of you enjoyed and experienced Tokyo culture a lot . I am looking forward to see you in Tokyo again. Next time I wi... read more

I am looking forward to meeting you again in Tokyo. Best Wishes, Keiko

“ Extremely good tour guide ”

Keiko showed us Tokyo and the rail system in a day. She was very conversant in English. Keiko went out of her way to please us by going to places we desired that were not on the itinerary without losing too much time. She kept on time schedule. She was knowledge about the places we visited and knew the rail system well so that we did not have to walk too many steps.

Keiko:

Dear Larry, Thank you very much for your wonderful review of my tour. I am glad that you and your families enjoyed my tour even though it rained so heavily. We visited Asakusa, Harajuku, Shibuya and Pokémon center. It was my pleasure to show you the place you really wanted to visit and see your families sharing good time together. I hope I will be able to meet you again in the near future in Tokyo. Please say hello to Yasuyo who was a typical Yamato-nadeshiko. . Best Wishes, Keiko

“ So much knowledge and a very enjoyable day ”

We started the day with Keiko meeting us at our hotel and assisting us with purchasing transportation tickets. From Shinjuku we went on to Asakusa and visited the temples and shops leading into it. Visited the Shinto shrine here also. Next we had lunch together where Keiko made excellent suggestions for my fussy family who all loved their lunch. On to Ginza where we stopped by Nissan and hubby got to drool over all of the concept cars before looking through the shopping district and then on to Meiji shrine. Such a beautiful place with so much history. Keiko happily answered all of our questions and was great with the kids. Had we not had Keiko to take us atound, I doubt very much we would have even gotten to the first destination. From start to finish our whole experience has been fa... read more

Keiko:

Dear Yvette, Thank you very much for your wonderful review of the tour with me. I am very glad to know that you enjoyed my tour. I was also very happy to have fantastic and heart-warming time with your family. According to the weather forecast, we might have shower and thunder. But we were lucky enough to have a beautiful day. We experienced lucky things today, touched the eye of a dragon under the lantern at Asakusa thunder gate, received the smoke of incense burner to purify ourselves at Sensoji Buddhist temple, purified ourselves by a scoop of water at Meiji Shinto shrine and walked around the sacred forest . So I am sure all of you will have good days not only in Japan but also in your future . And I remember the handsome boy bought a fabric case designed like a frog in Asakusa . I... read more

“ Highlights of Tokyo ”

Despite the heavy rains at times, Keiko gave us a tremendous tour of some of the highlights of Tokyo on our 8 hour day with her. She had delightful insights into ll the places we visited and was determined that we were going to have a good time despite the weather. We were very pleased and highly recommend Keiko for her energy and expertise. Ken and Terry Thorsen

Keiko:

Dear Ken & Terry Thank you very much for your wonderful review of the tour with me. We visited traditional parts of Tokyo, Tsukiji, Hamarikyu garden, Asakusa and Harajuku. We were lucky enough to enjoy there exclusively because of the heavy rain. Greeneries looked very fresh cleansed by the rain. We walked a lot because I sometimes forgot your age but I remembered your name, ”健” = healthy. I hope you will come back to Japan to enjoy different season and see you again. Please say hello to another Keiko. Warm Wishes, Keiko
