Tokyo has a lot of attractions!! However, it may be difficult for international tourists to look around the city for a limited amount of time on their own. This tour is designed for first-timers to see some of the most popular tourist spots effectively within several hours.
I will take you to some of my best, favorite places in Tokyo, such as the lively Tsukiji Fish Market, the old temple Sensoji, Mecca of fashion Harajuku, and breathtaking city view from Tokyo Tower....etc. On the tour you can absorb various aspects of old and modern culture in Tokyo in just one day.
After the tour, you will get to know the overview of the transportation systems in Tokyo. That will help you to look around the city on your own for the rest of your stay.
*The itinerary can be changed according to your interest or preference.

Riko was very helpful on my one day research tour. She did the scheduling perfectly and was open to my last minute changes well. Will sure look her up on my next trip to Japan!!
Riko is spectacular. I've been working for a large online travel agency in the world and have taken many organized tours and had many tour guides. Riko was one of the best I've come across. She meant us on-time at the lobby of the hotel. She took us to the designated site seeing locations quickly and efficiently. She taught us how to navigate the subway system in Tokyo. As the tour went, she explained all the details of Japanese culture all the way down to the identifying local fruit and products uniquely Japanese. She took us to a great restaurant for lunch where the locals eat. She took us to all the designated sites in the itinerary on-time with plenty of time to do what we want on each. She mentioned that the tour was flexible given it is private but the way it was laid out was perfect in my opinion. Finally, she led us all the way back a block from our hotel so we can have dinner before ending the tour. Interestingly, while on tour, a couple (a complete stranger but fellow tourist from Canada) who was at the Tsukiji fish market the same time as us (this couple booked a tour bus group) asked me if Riko was a relative or friend because she overheard her explaining all the intricate details of the market (including explaining all the unique Japanese items we saw) and I told this couple that she's a private guide. This fellow traveler told me she would have gladly paid Riko for a private tour than being stuck in a bus tour with dozens of other tourist with hardly any personal service like what Riko provided us. I wholeheartedly agree. This is the way to go. I argue that if you were a couple like us, I would gladly do this private tour guide way over and over again. Riko spoke perfect English and her insights into the city and culture made our first trip to Tokyo just perfect. I do plan to Tokyo again next year and hope to call on Riko again to take me to another part of Tokyo.
Riko is a lovely Japanese woman who is very easy to understand, relaxed and knows about Japan in great detail. On our personal tour (Riko's Best Spots of Tokyo (8h)), Riko was super flexible and would change the day's agenda based on what we were interested in seeing. She provided great tips on how to survive in Japan; such as how to buy train tickets and the difference between the red and blue labels at vending machines. Her knowledge on the history of Japan is excellent and she shared it with us like a good story. She is also very contemporary, knowing about how the Japanese people and culture exists today; and she also shared this with us as part of the tour (I personally really liked Akihabara and the otaku culture there). Tokyo is a great city and I very much look forward to visiting again. Thanks Riko!
There were 3 friends travelling together and Riko found ways to reach out to each of us and our interests individually. It was an exceptional day and I think we mastered the underground system in Tokyo. We had an exceptional time touring the grounds of the Imperial Palace among other beautiful sites.
visit of 3 temple in Kamukura and nice experiment of this quite city.
