I unhesitatingly encourage other people to hire Akira to fulfill their tour needs. He is very knowledgeable about the details of Tokyo! He was prompt arriving at our hotel on time. We saw all of the places I wanted to visit and he gave many informative illustrations of what we were seeing. He even went so far as to take us to our seats on the return trip on the train in Tokyo Station which relieved me of any anxiety about getting back to our hotel. Akira is very friendly and accommodating
Dear Donald, Thank you so much for the great review. It was my pleasure for me to be a guide for your first Japan trip. It was surprising that you are so knowledgable about Japanese history and I was so glad that you enjoyed the shrine and the museum. And I respect Penny for her effort to try to understand my loving country and its culture through her experience, not through preoccupation, as much as she could, especially when she slurped to have nice bowl of noodles in soup for lunch. I would like to thank both of you for giving me the idea what it is like to age gracefully. I am looking forward to another chance to explore Tokyo together some day. See you next time. Sincerely, Akira
Akira met us at our hotel and happily chatted to us and made plans for the day. He quickly put us at ease and helped us with the train system and showed us how to buy our cards. He was like one of our friends and chatted to us about everything Tokyo and was so flexible when we showed Interest in something not on our plan and adjusted travel arrangements. We all loved Akira and was sad to say goodbye to him!
Dear Amanda, Thank you so much for the great review. I am so pleased that you all treated me as like your friend and I am very happy that we all had a great time. That was one beautiful early Tokyo Autumn which was a perfect day for walking in the city with diversity, the different neighborhoods with different atmosphere.. I am pretty sure that you all have had a great time for the rest of you trip in Osaka and in Kyoto because of the way you treat people you meet, and because of the happy vibes you all have (how can they be asshole to nice people like you...?). I am looking forward to another chance to explore my loving city together with you and Adam, Jodi, and Rock. See you next time. Sincerely, Akira
Akira took us on a wonderful tour specific to our interests. He made excellent suggestions to my initial requested itinerary which improved it. We saw (and ate) many things we would not have otherwise — so for example he showed us the scenic neighborhoods nearby our requested “main attraction” destinations, plus a small shrine and temple. And we ate lots of yummy street food along the way! Akira was full of interesting information, good stories, and insights into Japanese culture. Highly recommended. Thank you Akira!
Dear Amy, Thank you very much for the great review. That was fun Tokyo afternoon/evening experience and so glad to know that you felt the same way. It is always my pleasure to guide people like you, who keep their eyes open for each moment with curiosity, without trying to visit places as many as they want and says “Okay, what’s next?”. I’m so glad you enjoyed the neighborhood and the dinner we had (and thanks so much for the chance to have first deep fried oyster”Teishoku”, which still makes my mouth water.....). I’m looking forward to another chance to explore my loving city together. See you next time. Sincerely, Akira
I high recommend Akira! We wanted to see the less known sights to us in Tokyo and Akira totally customized our day and adjusted as we went if needed. He is extremely knowledgable about the history, customs, foods of Tokyo and made the day very enjoyable. Akira went above and beyond throughout the day to make sure we had a great time and ate well :) Thank you again Akira for the memorable day.
Dear Adam, Thank you so much for the great review. I am very happy that you enjoyed the day with me. It was fun day for me too, and I enjoyed listening to your New York accent and enjoyed the conversation throughout the tour. It was my pleasure to be a guide for newly wed beautiful couple like two of you, kind and generous gentleman and clever, sincere, and straightforward lady. I am hoping, and I am pretty sure, that you’ll make a happiest family in the world. I’m looking forward to another chance to explore my loving city together. Sincerely, Akira Nakashima
Dear Akira, Firstly, excuse Mark for all his questions. He is a very curious man, but you manage to answer his questions all just fine :D. Akira, you are our perfect guide. You introduces us the way of Tokyo and showed us places where we would never knew or how to go as a tourist. Eating tonkatsu in a local restaurant was the best experience ever!! You have no idea how much you made us happy that day! Definitly recommend you as the perfect guide for visiting Tokyo. You speak very fluently English, really kind and knowledgable and always makes sure we have a good time under your care. Thank you very much. I hope the stroopwafels that we gave u were a nice treat :) Yours sincerly, Kim & Mark
Dear Kim, Thank you so much for the great review. It is so nice to hear that you enjoyed the day with me. Yes, the Tonkatsu was delicious and I am very happy that you liked the dish and the restaurant’s very local atmosphere. It was fun to listen to Mark’s question since it makes me see things Japanese from different angle. Oh, thank you so much for the stroopeafle. I just finished it and it was so good (my mom loved it too). I am looking forward to another chance to explore my loving city together. See you next time. Sincerely, Akira
