What to Expect
*Asakusa... located Tokyo's north east side which is reminiscent of Edo period.
Sensoji is Tokyo's oldest buddist temple. It is famous for it's Kaminarimon or Thunder gate where a giant red lantern hangs.
Nakamise shopping street is one of the best places to buy traditional Japanese souvenirs.
*Tokyo sky tree... opend in 2012. It is the tallest broadcasting tower in the world. There are two observation deck s at 350m and 450m. you can enjoy a breath- taking panorama of Tokyo. At the foot of the sky tree,there are many stores,restaurants an aquarium and planetarium.
*Ueno park...the first park in Japan. In the huge grounds are a museum complex,zoo, and Toshogu shrine and more. Also this park is popular for cherry blossom viewing place.
*Akihabara...is the largest market place for electronic equipment and a pop culture mecca representing anime and manga. If you like you can visit Maid cafe or Owl cafe experience unique Otaku culture.
*Imperial Palace and East garden...about 5 minutes walking from Tokyo station. The imperial palace with its grounds is located on the site of the former residential palace of successive Tokugawa shoguns in the Edo period.East garden is closed on Monday and Friday.
