Meiji Shrine, as you may know, is one of the most famous shrines in Tokyo. I would like you to feel it's tranquility and the atmosphere of a typical Traditional Japanese Shintoism. Omote-Sando Street is filled with many structures designed by internationally renowned architects. You can see boulevard of rows of Japanese zelkova (keyaki) trees. It's one of the most fashionable street in Tokyo. It is said this street is called another Champs-Elysees Street. And for lunch, let's eat tonkatsu, or a deep fried pork cutlet.

Akira san was our guide when we were in Tokyo early April 2017. Before our visit, he was prompt and meticulous in communicating with us and planning our one day Trip around Tokyo with him. He was keen to show us as much as one could do in a day and chose attractions with input from us - understanding our interests and matching them with the itinerary he prepared. As most Japanese do, he put his heart and soul into doing the best. We will highly recommend him.
Met Akira online. We had only 2 full days on our visit so we opted for a guide both days all day. No car so we took many expensive taxis to save time. Akira was terrific. A retired English teacher with good language skills. He was so much more than a simple tour guide. We peppered him with a questions from history to current events. He took us to fish market and usual sights, we were there during peak cherry blossom season. Ate sushi with him for very first time in his fav place. Outstanding. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed the 3 days with Akira showing us some amazing places around Tokyo. Akira was very pleasant and obliging. Would like to catch up another time. Trevor San and Jill San.
He's exactly what we expected, exactly who we where looking for!!! Akira is what we think is the genuine Japanese spirit! We all really enjoy visiting with him ... and already miss him!
Akira picked us up at our hotel and personally guided us through the subway and took us to the fish market, walked us through the inner and outer market and showed us many interesting foods and was very informative. Then he took us to an outstanding sushi restaurant for lunch, which was not expensive. He took the group to Asakusa and then a boat ride. He was very informative and caring. We would recommend him for this tour.
