Overview

A half day tour in Tokyo for a family with children. We will visit a shrine, Meiji Jingu Shrine or a temple, Asakusa Sensoji Temple to learn Japanese history. We will visit one of the activities, Japanese paper making, Origami crafting, etc. These activities provide creative, exploratory, and social opportunities to your children.

What to Expect

A half day tour in Tokyo for a family who has small children or teenagers. For your children’s knowledge, we will visit a shrine, Meiji Jingu Shrine or a temple, Asakusa Sensoji Temple. I will explain the overview of Japanese history. Then, we will visit one of the activities. These activities provide creative, exploratory, and social opportunities so that children can extend themselves in areas that are informal, unusual, and fun.
During this tour, I will give some questions to your children. To answer the questions, they try to listen to my explanation carefully. To give them chances to see and experience the foreign culture is very valuable things to do. Children’s potential is beyond our imagination.

“ Sumo stable tour ”

Mari was very very good. She was very organized. She left a hand written note at our hotel regarding our day. She also made a little paper brochure about sumo. Seeing the sumo stable was great experience and I do not hesitate in recommending Mari.

“ Extraordinarily Grateful for Mari's Wonderful Guidance ”

Mari was an ideal guide for our first trip to Tokyo. When we arrived at our hotel we had a greeting card from Mari waiting for us at the front desk welcoming us to Tokyo, giving us her contact information and reminding us of our 9am meeting time the following morning. This thoughtful touch illustrates Mari's overall style. She worked hard to make our tour unforgettable by meeting all of our objectives while throwing in some off the beaten path surprises that made our tour very special. She was highly organized while also being flexible to go with the flow and allow for some spontaneous additions to our itinerary. She quickly earned our trust in terms of recommendations particularly in regards to meals. The restaurants she took us to were all extraordinary especially the macrobiotic restau... read more

Mari:

Thank you very much for your wonderful review. It encouraged me as a tour guide. As you prepared your travel plan four months ahead, I understand your needs before meeting. I really think that preparation is important. I am glad all of you enjoyed my tour. I also enjoyed guiding you as all of you are friendly and kind. I was impressed that your daughters are smart and very well-behaved. I still remember your curious and happy faces when you saw the print club” “PRICLA.” I hope you will have a wonderful time on the rest of your journey. When you plan to visit Tokyo again, I would be more than happy to guide you. Thank you again.

“ Excellent tour with Mari ”

We spent a great and enjoyable four hours with Mari touring Meiji shrine and Tsukiji Market. Mari was prompt to communicate ahead of the tour and even left a note with her contact info at our hotel for when we checked in. She went over the fascinating history of the shrine and the market and had us sample two different kinds of tuna with freshly grated wasabi root. She pointed out her favorite vendors in the market. She gave tips about navigating through Tokyo and made lots of suggestions. She was very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Mari!

Mari:

Thank you so much for your excellent review. I really appreciate it. I was very happy to guide such a super intelligent family. I am glad all your family members are very friendly. I am happy to know that you liked Tuna tasting. Hope you will enjoy the rest of your staying in Japan to make unforgettable experiences. Thank you again and take care. Mari

“ Unbelievably amazing! ”

Mari is an incredible guide. She is incredibly professional and communicative, knowledgeable and personable. She went above and beyond caring for the group of travellers and was amazing in helping us to organize everything. I would definitely recommend her for anyone who want to really get to know Japan and not just visit.

Mari:

Thank you very much for your wonderful review. It encouraged me as a guide. I am glad that everything went well. To provide the art college group with an introduction of Ukiyoe woodblock printing was a valuable experience for me. Thank you again.

“ Amazing Tokyo Tour! ”

Our experience with Mari San has been excellent. She was quick at responding to our queries via triple lights prior to our tour and had great tour suggestions. When we let her know there were things we looked forward to seeing she came up with an incredible itinerary. Once we got to Tokyo we were dropped off at the wrong hotel as there are two Hotel Montereys so we were scared that she may go to the other hotel while we walked to find our hotel. However upon checking in the concierge let us know we had a message from our tour guide and handed us an envelope with a note from Mari San which put our minds at ease. She was very knowledgeable and well prepared. She had printed three intineraries detailing the places we visited and pertinent information to those places. It was a very enjoyab... read more
