Origami is one of the elaborate Japanese cultures known as paper folding. Various items can be created by only folding a square paper like animals, flowers, foods, playing toys and more! In this culture experience lesson , I 'll instruct you how to make basic Origami crafts depends on your level and requests. For beginners (adults), I recommend to make like flowers, animals, heart, crane and so on. For young children, I can instruct them to make easy animals and flowers, playing toys or Ninjya stars. For intermediate, we can try to make a little bit more complicated crafts. Origami is not only a part of Japanese culture but also it is used as an educational tool for kids in Japan. It might need your patient and concentration, but you'll become skillful with your fingers after this lesson!
You can make as many as possible in an hour. If the time will extend, additional fee is required. I am available to do this lesson from 9:00 am to 18:00 pm. Please contact with me before your booking!

My husband and I had a tour in Toyko with Yukiko in October. Yukiko promptly wrote us with a detailed itinerary but we changed our plans several times and Yukiko always had a new plan sent to us within a day. We requested to go to a shop that has old block prints and she even visited before we arrived to check it out. When I mentioned that I needed to still find some matcha tea for my sister she found a shop near our hotel and spent extra time with us tasting tea. She was a wonderful conversationalist. If we ever make it back to Tokyo we will definitely hire her again.
Thank you so much for your review Katherine!! I'm very glad that you've kept the memory of the day in your mind. I'm sure that you display beautiful old block prints, Ukiyoe at your home and enjoyed the taste of green tea. These makes you remind your enjoyable trip in Japan anytime. I'm always welcome you and would like to make your trip more wonderful as a professional guide. Thank you once again! Domo Arigatou Gozaimashita!!
Yukiko was very thorough, informative, and very flexible. She customized our tours based on our interests and was very pleasant to be around. Very polite. Her English is excellent. My husband and I enjoyed her company and would definitely hire her again when we come back to Tokyo.
Thank you so much for your review, Panisa!! I also had a enjoyable time with you. I think the tour should be flexible as much as possible to my client's needs and requests on that day. Through a good conversation and relationship between a guide and clients makes easier to understand what you'd like to see and get in my tour, and also my guiding skill works efficiently. I've kept learning and will enhance my guiding skills for your future visit. Thank you once again. Domo Arigatou Gozaimashita!!
I had a wonderful time in Kamakura with Yukiko. She's kind, patient, and prepared. Everything about the tour was well planned and organized but also relaxed and fun. She also took a lot of pictures for me which I appreciated as a solo traveler. I'm only disappointed I didn't book another tour with her while I'm here! I would recommend her to anyone and will definitely book another tour when I return to Japan.
Thank you for your kind review, Angela!! I appreciate it very much. I enjoyed to talk with you about many different topics during the tour. It was a good timing to visit Kita-Kamakura area to see autumn leaves. When you go back to your home, please share your experiences and photos with your family and friends. I'll expand my guiding area for your future visit so hope to see you again. Domo Arigatou Gozaimashita!!
It might be a short 2 hrs but a very fulfilling time with Yukiko. Dressed in her Kimono, patiently waiting for us in our hotel lobby with complete map & guide for our tour, she welcomed us so warmly. It was getting dark since we started at 4 pm but she made sure we could see all the beauty of Tokyo. Thank you so much Yukiko & to the beautiful origami you made for us. We’ll definitely look for you next time . With love, Marilyn , Ross & Grace
Yukiko was very pleasant and I had such a good time learning how to do some Origami. She was on time, knew where to get a good cup of coffee and had a variety of Origami pieces to show me. She was very effective in teaching and it was an overall very enjoyable hour and a half. We are meeting again on Friday for a tour of Tokyo and I’m really looking forward to it.
Thank you very much for your prompt review, Heather! We made many Origami crafts that can use for up coming seasonal event, Christmas. We used traditional paper called Washi that made your Origami craft more beautiful and special. Please enjoy to make more Origami that you learned from me and try to make new one! I am looking forward to meet you again on Friday!
