Overview

Toshi's house is in the beautiful upper-middle class residential area in the suburbs of Tokyo. First, we will shop ingredients for lunch at a local super market. After a short break over green tea, let's roll sushi and taste them. Select one activity from the list below; calligraphy, Ikebana, etc. In the evening, you can dine at the local pub called Izakaya or casual restaurant for Shabushabu.

What to Expect

It is a good opprtunity to learn about Japanese life and culture. First of all you will be surprised how compact the Japanese house is and how we make the best of the space. I will explain our unique food culture at a supermarket. You will learn how to make Sushi (3 kinds). If you don't like seafood, don't worry, you can make a sushi with avocado, egg and ham. Visiting a local pub will be another exiting moment. If you book the date of the first day of the month, I will take you to the antique flea market. For animal lovers, I will offer "an awl cafe and a cat cafe" visit.

“ Custom Tokyo tour ”

We had a wonderful day with TChan! She navigated the train and subway system for us so there no wasted time. She was very personable and knowledgeable about Toykyo and Japanese culture. She customized our visit for 62 year old woman with daughter in law and grandsons ages 10 and 12. We had a very memorable day and made a new friend. Thank you Toshi🌸💗

Toshi(T-chan):

Thank you, Sharon! We had a good start when we took in the wonderful view of Mt. Fuji from Odaiba. What did you think of the view of the 2020 Olympic venue from the train on our way to Toyosu? At Ueno Park, the cherry blossoms seemed to welcome us. So sweet! The photo you took of the cherry blossoms in full bloom with the shrine in the background is very Japonesque. It was great to see your grandchildren having fun at the Samurai Museum. The sword practice with the samurai master (sensei) will be seared into their memory for quite a while. I hope you can make it back here in the early summer to see the lotus flowers in Ueno Park. See you then!

“ Friendly and Help6 ”

We had a short time to go to many places. Having a local guide was very helpful. Toshi spent a lot of time even before the tour day to see we get good value for our limited time. She was also very patient and fun to be worth. And of course, showed us special spots that were a treat. Thank you Toshi-chan.

Toshi(T-chan):

Hi Sandeep! It was a pleasure to meet you and your family. You raised a very well-behaved young man. The highlight of our tour was the Sensoji Temple night view in Asakusa. It looks like a jewel glowing in the night! I hope your photos came out well. The magical serene atmosphere was a welcome change to the hustle and bustle of daytime Tokyo, wasn't it? Please come back soon! How about enjoying the charms of Tokyo in a different season? Let's explore the area more!

“ Highlights of Tokyo ”

We had an enjoyable time with T-chan. She was pleasant and knowledgeable. She met us at our hotel both mornings and we proceeded to to see some of the key areas and sights of Tokyo. Overall she was a great guide.

Toshi(T-chan):

Thank you, Sanjay! So glad to hear you had fun. I did enjoy our two-day tour, too. It was gratifying to know you and your family liked yaki-soba and yaki-udon. Cooking okonomiyaki at the table was quite an interesting Japanese experience, wasn’t it? I am curious about which place you like better, Harajuku or Akihabara? Please come back, as Tokyo is an ever-changing city. Matane! (see ya in English)

“ Awesome Tour! ”

Toshi was an amazing tour guide! Not only did she take us to the places my kids and I wanted to visit in Harajuku, she also led us to shops and photo ops that we didn’t know about. We had a lot of fun and learned about the area as we experienced Tokyo with Toshi. Would definitely recommend booking her for your next visit!

Toshi(T-chan):

Thank you, Miranda! Harajuku was fun, wasn't it? So glad we managed to hit all the spots your daughters wanted. Purikura photos from the cute photo booths are particularly good souvenirs. You now have quite a collection of memories for your *******: the rainbow-colored cotton candy, the cosplayers (from the cosplay store), the dazzling display of products in the stores, the surreal mirror escalator, etc. (I can stare at this all day long!) Enjoy the rest of your Tokyo stay! Hope to see you again soon!

“ Excellent guide - recommend highly ”

Our family of four spent a six hour day with Toshi in Edoshima and Kamakura. The day was excellent, and Toshi was a wonderful guide. She is a lovely person, with a great deal of knowledge and a friendly open style. We have already recommended her tours to personal friends, and will continue to do so for anyone we know visiting Tokyo and area. Thank you, Toshi - our day with you was a highlight for our trip!

Toshi(T-chan):

Hi Troy! It was fun for me too! The Mt. Fuji view over the Pacific Ocean from Enoshima was quite breathtaking, wasn't it? Winter is a good season to stroll around the area as there are no crowds – no queues! It turned out to be a foodie tour, too. We had sushi, seafood BBQ, purple potato ice cream, karaage (fried chicken), manju (traditional dumpling), etc. It was fun to see your family enjoying the local delicacies. Please come back soon. There is an even wider variety of food in other seasons. Let's sample them together!
