What to Expect

In this tour, you can visit four most attractive touring spots combining beautiful nature, Japanese food culture and enjoyable Japanese old and modern parts.
Firstly,we'll visit Tsukiji Outer Market which is a main marine product market in Japan. Inside of new facility, about 60 small family-run retail shops, each shop has own specialty selling tuna, eel and so on.
At the outer market, there are about 400 retail shops which are open to the public. Almost all kinds of Japanese ingredients and foods can be found here. This is like a kitchen of Japanese cuisine. You can enjoy buying Japanese food, seasonings, tea, knives, dishware, wrapping goods and so on.

Next, we'll walk to Hamarikyu garden (10 minutes). It is a high class Japanese garden in Tokyo which has about 340- year history. It's used as a detached residence of Tokugawa shogun's family in the Edo era and a guesthouse for foreign diplomats and royal families in the Meiji era. In February 2015, Prince William (England) visited this garden and experienced the tea ceremony. One of the greatest thing is that you can drink finely powdered green tea and a seasonal Japanese confectionery in the tea house which is located in the middle of the pond. Shoguns, ladies and Imperial Court nobles enjoyed the view from here. Why don't you enjoy the tea and sweet while send your thoughts back in time to these eras.

After that, we will enjoy a water bus cruise from Hamarikyu Garden to Asaksua. It takes about 1 hour ride.

Asakusa, it preserves the old atmosphere of Edo era and it's a vivid town. On the way to Sensoji temple, we can enjoy shopping at Nakamise shopping street. It's very fun to see so many kinds of traditional crafts, sweets and souvenirs. Sweets like a small pancake stuffed with red bean paste and rice crackers are famous here. There are several specialized Kimono shops in this area. If you're interested in some particular shops like Kimono, Japanese folding fan or hand towels, I can take you these shops.

At last, we will visit Akihabara where you can feel totally different atmosphere from Asakusa. We'll discover why Japanese subculture attracts so many people and let's see more about anime, manga, games and animal cafe in Akihabara.

If you have any questions or requests, please send me a message. I'll reply as soon as possible.

I'd like to make your trip a real pleasant one. I 'm really looking forward to meeting you in my tour!
Thank you, Arigatou!

“ Our first Japan trip ”

We visited Japan for the first time this month together with my brother’s family and children. We wanted a tour guide since it was our first time in Japan. After reading reviews, we decided to go with Yukiko. She was a delight to work with. We told her it was our son’s wish to visit Pokémon Mega Center in Tokyo. She arranged our schedule and emailed us frequently. She met us at the hotel lobby where we were staying, dressed in a beautiful kimono. She also explained how to use the subway station which we greatly appreciated. She even taught our son how to make an origami Pikachu which made him and the other children very happy. She spoke fluent English and made communication very easy. We visited Tsukiji Market and Yukiko explained to us the history. We ate the most delicious sushi and Japa... read more

“ Family of 13 in Tokyo ”

Yukiko was our guide in Tokyo for June 30 and 31, 2019. We are a group of 9 adults and 4 kids. We opted for Best of Tokyo Part 1 and 2. Half of the group are reapeat visitors in Tokyo and the other half are first time visitors. Before the trip Yukiko responded to my emails and questions. Asked about our food preference and made lunch reservations. On our first day she was early, meet us wearing a Kimino and gave u printed maps and showned us our itinerary. She handled the group very well, she was very considerate knowing we have toddlers, she gave us time to take photos, she took very good care of us, navigated very well, was very kind and polite. She was also very efficient and really made sure we get to do as much as we can. She talked about a lot about the culture which ... read more

YUKIKO:

Thank you so much for your great review, Andrea! I'm pleasure to meet you all your family and glad to hear everyone has a great time in 2 days in Tokyo. For small children, it maybe getting boring sometimes when we visit historical places, but your kids were so energetic to complete for my answer sheet. I like an interactive type of learning or activity that both adult and children can enjoy. Hope to see you again in Japan. Domo Arigatou Gozaimashita!!

“ Tokyo with Yukiko ”

Thank you Yukiko for a wonderful experience in Tokyo. We started planning by making a list of EVERYTHING we wanted to experinece in Tokyo. Yukiko helped us pare down the list, but we still experienced so much! She was so organized, knowledgable and patient. She gave us detailed directions when we used the subway so that we could explore on our own. We saw gardens, museums, shrines, and temples. We enjoyed 3 completely different styles of food in small restaurants and sampled items in the Tsukiji fish market. We also had a wonderful tea ceremony. Yukiko was wonderful about adjusting our tour to include another item, and in the process we were able to see sumo wrestlers preparing to leave for an exhibition! When I think of visiting Tokyo, I think of Yukiko and it always puts a smile... read more

YUKIKO:

Thank you very much for posting a great review, Patricia! Our 2 days tour included a lot of cultural experiences such as Tea ceremony, Japanese Shamisen music, making our own lunch at Okonomiyaki restaurant, fresh and authentic Tempura at small Tempura restaurant, and encountered Sumo wrestlers. I'm sure these authentic and real experiences made your trip more memorable and fun! I'm very happy to hear that when you remember the tours in Tokyo, you have a big smile. That is better marks than any words. Thank you once again, Domo Arigatou Gozaimashita!!

“ Tokyo and Mt Fuji ”

Thank you Yukiko. You made our visit one that we will never forget. You were extremely accommodating with my mobility issues. We would not have been able to do this trip without you. We thoroughly enjoyed having you as our tour guide. We would definitely recommend to our family and friends

YUKIKO:

Thank you so much for your wonderful review, Brad and Karen. I really appreciated it. I'm glad that my support helped for your mobility issues. I've experienced to help mobility challenged clients in my tour before and my back ground as a nurse could help to the situation. I've been extending my knowledge and expanding my guiding area. I hope you'll visit Japan again in the future to see more sites. Thank you once again for having me as your guide. Domo Arigatou Gozaimashita!!
