If this is your first trip to Tokyo or your first time to have free time in Tokyo, I recommend visiting three major spots.
I will show you the brief history of Japan from the Edo Period to the Meiji Period by explaining these spots.
You can also enjoy shopping in Harajuku or Omotesando and lastly in Asakusa.
I want you to know two sides of Tokyo; historical side and modern side.

Itinerary

Feel free to personalize this offer with Yukiko.

  • Meiji Shrine: dedicated to the souls of Emperor Meiji and Empress. Emperor Meiji was father of the modernization of Japan.
  • The Imperial Palace: used to be Edo Castle, only the remains are left. Yet you can feel the atmosphere of the Edo Period.
  • Asakusa: Sensoji Temple is the oldest temple in Tokyo and Nakamise-dori Street is the shopping street which leads to the temple.

“ Interesting tour with detailed explanations ”

She was very enthusiastic and suggested a tour that suited me the best. Despite the very warm weather, we visited many places. She also gave a brief overview of japanese history and useful advices regarding the shopping of gifts. I recommend her as a guide.

Yukiko:

Dear Imre, Thank you for a nice review! I was so glad that you are so interested in Japan and listened to my explanation earnestly. I feel so relieved that we were safe visiting four places although it was extremely hot today, You have been so kind. You are so intelligent that you asked me some good questions. Having an intellectual reseacher from Hungary as a guest was a precious experience for me. I hope your success in your job and have a nice trip! Yukiko

Yukiko san is an excellent guide. Very friendly and very knowledgeable. I can only recommend Yukiko:)

Yukiko:

Dear Ondrey, Thank you for the nice review! You are also the best listners! I was so glad that you translated my explanation into Czech for your son Max . I would be so pleased if I could have been of any help for your understanding of Japan. I was impressed by your wish to let your son know a completely different country Japan, from that of Europe. Max was a very good boy to follow my historical trip in Tokyo. Yukiko

“ Subway experience ”

We had a wonderful time with Yukiko, her English was good which was a great help, we went on the subway which we wouldn't have done by ourselves as it was daunting to try and work out, so was very happy to have someone there with the knowledge. Our hotel was in Shinshiku-ku which was out a bit, we had to pay extra for Yukiko to meet us there. We let Yukiko know what we wanted to sightsee and she worked out an itinerary for the 6hrs we had booked her for. Yukiko, Thanks for taking us around and hope you had a great New Year's Day with your family.

Yukiko:

Dear Chiristine、 Thank you for the nice review in spite of your being busy working. As it was a holiday before the new year, the place from where I was planning to have you a Sumida river cruise, was closed. It was a beautiful Japanese garden , Hama Rikyu. So we had to take an alternative. As your hotel was not in the center of Tokyo, I was sorry to make you have a long ride to go to and come back from anywhere. So it may have been a little hard for you, yet thank you for appreciating my tour. I was happy to take you to the Imperial Palace plaza and Asakusa. You were such a nice couple and I enjoyed being with you. Next time, I hope you will visit Kamakura. Yukiko

“ A Very Short Stay In Tokyo ”

I had only 48 hours in Tokyo and my stay would have been a lot different if I had not had a guide like Yukiko. She picked me up at the hotel and showed me the places I've requested. Due to my dietary restrictions she made a reservation at an excellent vegan restaurant for which I'm grateful. Thank you Yukiko for the great tour!

Yukiko:

Dear Dimiter, Thank you so much for your comment appreciating my tour! I wish we had had more time in Tokyo! It was really a hot day yet the weather was so fine. I was so glad that you are interested in Japan and listened to me so earnestly. I hope that you will visit Japan some day again! Thank you for your sincerity. Yukiko

“ guide to subway system in tokyo and tour of Meiji Shrine ”

We were very happy with Yukiko and she did a great job teaching us how to use the subway system in Tokyo. We found it very helpful. Also took us to the Meiji Shrine and gave a history of the place, and took us to a lovely place for lunch. Thanks Yukiko ! Regards 6 happy Australians

Yukiko:

Dear Louise, Thank you for the nice review! I replied to it soon, yet I seem to have answered to your another email. It is a great pleasure for me if my guiding was a little help to you, and I was so glad to guide beautiful noble ladies from Australia. I was wondering how you were spending in Tokyo after that because of the weather, yet I was glad that the day of your departure for Kyoto was so fine. As I have some photos to send you, I will be so glad if you contact me by email. Yukiko
