In this tour, you will first go to the observation room of the Tokyo Metropolitan Goverment building, and have a birdeye view of Tokyo and its surrounding area.
Then, you visit Shinjuku shopping area. It has lots of stores including department stoers, souvenir shops, and discount stores.
Then, you visit Golden Street or Golden Gai. It has lots of small bars and eateries, around 200 stores.
Golden Gai is introduced in the Mishelin's Guide books. You can enjoy the atmosphere of the 1950s of Japan.
Next you visit Kabukicho. Kabukicho is the largest entertainment district in Japan. It has lots of interesting stores such as Robot Restaurant and Don Quijote.
And in the last, you visit Omoide Yokocho. Some non-Japanese people call Omoide Yokocho Yakitori Heaven. In Omoide Yokocho, you can enjoy eating such food as Ramen and Yakitori in the atmosphere of the olden times of Japan.
Masahiko was very accommodating since we had to change days due to our flight delay. He was also very nice to meet us at our hotel and printed up a sheet with the name of our hotel in Japanese so we could get back on our own after he dropped us off at the the Robot show on Shinjuku. His tour needs more than 2.5 hours to see all the sights. Unfortunately, we weren't able to enjoy golden gai--we walked quickly through it. It would have been interesting to go into one of the taverns to see what's it like. His pace was very fast and we sometimes had a hard time keeping up. His English was okay.
Very honest and hard working!
