The full day tour covers our most fascinating destinations in Tokyo. I show you around five destinations; Kyu Shiba Rikyu Garden, Tsukiji Fish Market, Ueno Park, Akihabara Electric Town and Ginza Street. Shiba Rikyu Garden is a classic Japanese landscape garden, and you may see a newly married couple wearing traditional wedding clothes. No doubt, Tsukiji Fish Market is the largest fish market in the world. Overall, more than 700,000 metric tons of seafood are handled every year. Ueno Park is the best place in Tokyo to watch cherry blossom in April. The park contains the country’s most famous Ueno Zoo, National Museum, National Museum of Western Arts, National Science Museum, Metropolitan Fine Art Gallery, besides Toshogu Shrine. Enjoy shopping or window shopping at topnotch stores on the Ginza Streets.
Akio was extremely knowledgeable about Tokyo sites, history, and train system. We found his company extremely pleasant and informative.
Akio promptly met us at our hotel to take us to Tsukiji Fish Market Tour in the morning. We toured the inner and outer shops - it's a fast paced market place and was good to have someone take us there, navigate the way around since we didn't have much time. Go and see the market before they move!
Mr. Akio is a very friendly tour guide. He managed to arrange our tour according to the places we wanted. The tour is well-planned, organized and very informative. Thank you so much Mr. Akio. By the way, I hope you can send me the photos from your camera. Arigatou!
Akio was very polite and punctual. However his English was not so good and he offered very little explanation of the sights we saw. It was difficult to understand what he was saying and difficult to have a conversation with him as he didn't listen very well. We wanted to go to the fish market which was not on his usual tour however he did take us but there was nothing to see as it had finished so it was a waste of time and lots of time spent on the subway. As a client it would be better for him to be honest and to tell us that as a guide to perhaps go another time. To be fair He offered alternatives like Ginza street but we didn't want that. Akio looked after us well on the many subways and trains we took. I would only recommend him for 2stars and really only for jJapanese groups wanting a very limited tour of the sights as I don't feel his English was good enough.
Akio does not understand English as well as we had hoped and we did not get very much explanation about the places in Tokyo we visited. He was helpful in getting us from place to place by subway. For 80 years old, he does have a lot of energy.
