Let's trace the route where Watanabe and Naoko stroll in Murakami's novel "Norwegian Wood" from Yotsuya to Komagome. It's quite a long walk - nearly 10 kilometers - and recommended for good walkers. There are lots of interesting sites on the way as well, such as Yasukuni shrine, Kanda Myojin, Rikugi-en etc. Let's walk "aimlessly" like the novel, then stop by and explore when we find something interesting.
*This tour is basically a walking tour but it is difficult to walk all the way under bad weather conditions. In that case, I will suggest alternative plans before the tour starts. Please ask for details.
*To pick you up at the hotel outside of Tokyo's 23 wards, I will ask you extra charge. Please ask for details.
*I can change the route and length of the tour flexibly. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions :)
We had a wonderful time with Kazue. She was extremely helpful prior to our trip by helping us decide what to see while in Tokyo. She was a lot of fun and extremely knowledgeable. She made our trip memorable. Thank you Kazue!
It was a wonderful day. It began at the school I attended in K-2 grades and the the Dean of Admissions gave us an hour long tour and showed me the building where I would have had classes. It was rich. Then we visited a park near by that she thought was lovely and I probably went to as a child. On the way I spotted a pastry shop so we digressed for a treat and coffee. And walked thru the neighborhood of Hiro-o. Then we went to the Japanese Traditional Crafts Aoyama Square that I said I want to see as I love to see pottery and crafts of a country. Had a wonderful lunch along the way and then went to the gardens of the Imperial Palace and concluded with going to a big toy story for gifts for grandchildren. It was a fun, delightful day with Kazue who had a good listening hear and suggestions for what interests me.
We had the most amazing day with Kazue during our tour in Tokyo! She is very friendly, polite and we really enjoyed our day with her visiting Tokyo! We contacted Kazue on her availability before arriving in Japan and she was very prompt to respond with ideas on how to customise our tour. After a few emails our plan was set and ready for our one-day (8hrs) tour of Tokyo. She introduced us to must-see areas, shrines/temples and food of Tokyo. The fact that she speaks perfect English, made our life so much easier when we needed a translator into Japanese. She made the first day of our honeymoon very special!
Kazue was so gracious and kind. We took a day trip together from Shinjuku to Kamakura. Communication prior was great. We connected on a messaging app which made discussing the trip and our meeting place much easier. She kindly met me at the train station closest to me, and she guided me through the temples and shrines of Kamakura. We shared great conversation together. She was very attentive to my needs on the tour, and she wanted to make sure that I was seeing all the historical landmarks I wanted to see in the area. She took me to a great local restaurant for lunch, and we tried different local foods over the course of the tour. Kazue was so great, and you could not go wrong with her as your guide. Thanks Kazue for helping make my trip to Japan so great!
Kazue was very sweet and pleasant. She helped us cover a lot of the city in a day. Her English was very good so she was able to communicate with us easily. She also helped us make reservations for a restaurant and was very flexible with helping us plan the itinerary. We would definitely recommend her.
