Sensoji is the oldest and the most popular temple in Tokyo. It was a center of Edo culture and still preserves the appearance of old Edo, Tokyo's traditional atmosphere. The five-story pagoda, incense burner and Nakamise-shopping arcade will take you back to old Tokyo.
The Nihombashi district in central Tokyo has been a center of Japanese business and culture, a hub for merchants and craftsmen since the start of the Edo dra. Today it is a modern neighborhood with high-rise buildings, you will find the essence of Tokyo at Coredo Muromachi shopping center. We will visit some of the famous shops incluidng Kiya (Japanese knife shop), Senbikiya (fruits shop) and Mitsukoshi Department store.
There're several restaurants offering various kinds of foods in the area. If you like to try Japanese cuisine, I will show you Japanese restaurants in Coredo Muromachi Terrace.
The Meiji Shrine is a sanctuary in the middle of the city away from all the hustle and bustle of modern Tokyo. Harajuku/Omotesando located just outside of the Meiji Shrine is a vibrant neighborhood with trendy eateries and boutiques. If you're interested in young pop culture, I will take you to Takeshita Street, a hub of trendy cute culture. Then we will walk along the Cat Street to Shibuya.
Japan's trend setting town dedicated to young fashion and culture. It has become a symbol of Tokyo's dynamism with the Shibuya Crossing, the state-of-the-art buildings and SHIBUYA 109. You will also see the Hachiko Statue, a meeting spot near the JR Shibuya Station, which is famous as a loyal dog.
Daikanyama is home to high-end fashion boutiques and restaurants near Shibuya. T-site encompasses a bookstore, stationeries, Ivy Place restaurant to serve as a cultural hub in the area. The old Asakura Residence is a quiet oasis in the heart of Tokyo. We can visit the residence with its beautiful Japanese garden. You will see the traditional Japanese house and way of living about 100 years ago.
