What to Expect
This tour focuces on the west side of central Tokyo, which is a fashion district for young people. Believe it or not, however, it is enjoyable for all the generations!!
Meiji shrine is a solem shrine dedicated to the Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken. It is so peaceful with thousands of trees that you may forget you are in the world busiest city of Tokyo. It is called an oasis of Tokyo.
Oposite side of Harajyuku station is Takeshitadori street which is lined up with catchy shops and food stands that sell coloful and fancy clothes and food. Once you enter the street, you will be enchanted by its enthusiastic atmosphere. Visiting animal Cafe or Kawaii Monster Cafe can be an experience!!
*Ota Memorial Museum Of Art which is just 5 minutes away from Harajyuku station fetures traditional Japanese Ukiyoe or woodblock prints created in the Edo period. It's worth visiting and looking at those works not only as an Art but also a material to know what Japanese people were doing, wearing, eating back then. Nezu museum has small but a nice Japanese garden.
Then the tour offers you the world famous Shibuya Scramble Crossing where almost 3,000 people cross from all directions without batting each other! Just standing at the site reminds you one scene from a movie! There is also a statue of Hachi, the dog which was loyal to his master. If you hear his story, you will want to take a picture or two wiht Hachi!!
About the final destination, I will leave it to you!! You have three choises; *Route 1. Shinjuku, *Route 2. Tokyo tower and Zojoji temple, *Route 3. Hiei shrine or Roppongi. All the three options have a building or tower with an observation floor and you can enjoy the spectacular view of Greater Tokyo from there.
