Overview

This tour offers one of Tokyo's most popular districts, Harajyuku, Shibuya and Shinjuku etc in which you will find both traditional and modern Japan.
A solemn Meiji shrine, fashionable Takeshita street, Shibuya Scramble Crossing and more!! The final destination can be chosen by the customer from Shinjuku, Tokyo tower or Roppongi. You can also enjoy Japanese food culture in this tour!!

What to Expect

This tour focuces on the west side of central Tokyo, which is a fashion mecca for young people. Believe it or not, however, it is enjoyable for all the generations!!
Meiji shrine is a solem shrine dedicated to the Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken. It is so peaceful with thousands of trees that you may forget you are in the world busiest city of Tokyo. It is called an oasis of Tokyo.
Oposite side of Harajyuku station is Takeshitadori street which is lined up with catchy shops and food stands that sell coloful and fancy clothes and food. Once you enter the street, you will be enchanted by its enthusiastic atmosphere. Visiting animal Cafe or Kawaii Monster Cafe can be an experience!!
Ota Memorial Museum Of Art which is just 5 minutes away from Harajyuku station fetures traditional Japanese Ukiyoe or woodblock prints created in the Edo period. It's worth visiting and looking at those works not only as an Art but also a material to know what Japanese people were doing, wearing, eating back then. Nezu museum has a small but very nice Japanese style garden. Please chose one of these museums.

Then the tour offers you the world famous Shibuya Scramble Crossing where almost 3,000 people cross from all directions without batting each other! Just standing at the site reminds you one scene from a movie! There is also a statue of Hachi, the dog which was loyal to his master. If you hear his story, you will want to take a picture or two wiht Hachi!!

About the final destination, I will leave it to you!! You have three choises; *Route 1. Shinjuku, *Route 2. Tokyo tower and Zojoji temple, *Route 3. Hiei shrine and Roppongi. All the three options have a building or tower with an observation floor and you can enjoy the spectacular view of Greater Tokyo from there.

“ Highlights of Tokyo ”

Eiko is an experienced and well informed guide. She spent a day showing us Tokyo and gave us information about the people and culture that cannot be gleaned from other than a native. Among other places she took us to Tsukiji market where we tasted some of the best sushi we had ever had. Her command of English is excellent. I certainly recommend her to future tourists.

Eiko:

Hi Vandana, Thank you for spending your precious time to write the review. It was just one day out of a long Japan trip to you but I was very happy to meet all of you as your Tokyo guide! I was glad to know you enjoyed sushi at Tsukiji. :-) Tokyo will host 2020 Summer Olympic Games next year. I hope you can come back to Japan!! Once again, thank you for having me as your guide!! Eiko

“ Our Engagement vacation trip! ”

Eiko was wonderful! She is an excellent guide and her demeanor is great as well. In addition to showing us around Tokyo she assisted me with my marriage engagement plans as well. I recommend anyone to visit Tokyo and anywhere else in Japan. The Japanese people are warm and welcoming, polite and respectful.

“ Amazing visit in Tokyo! ”

My family just spent two days being guided through Tokyo by Eiko. She was by far the best tour guide we could have chosen. Even through our messaging prior to coming to Tokyo Eiko was always interested in what we wanted to see and to do in putting our itinerary together. As soon as I messaged her, she would immediately respond back. When we arrived in Tokyo, she had put together an itinerary that both included our wants in addition to cultural experiences we didn’t know to request. Traveling around Tokyo with her was wonderful! We got to see so much more than doing it on our own as she kept us from getting lost. She explained the customs of the people at each stop visited so that we understood what was going on. Eiko felt like a member of our family as she is so personable and welcoming. I... read more

Eiko:

Dear Stephanie, Thank you very much for such a wonderful review!! It was just two days with you and your family but I felt really comfortable throughout the tour as if I’ve known you for a long time. We talked and smiled a lot together!! Your happy faces and reactions made me really happy too!! You always treated me as a part of your family in every place we went and thing we did! We went up Tokyo Skytree, saw a single act of Kabuki, ate yakitori, petted hedgehogs and experienced green tea!! These are unforgettable memories to me too!! Again, thank you for having me as your Tokyo guide. See you again soon, and take care! Arigato gozaimashita! Eiko
