Even a typhoon didn't stop Toshihari-San from showing us his wonderful city. He is extremely knowledgeable about Tokyo history. We even saw a wedding at the Meiji Shrine and he showed us how to make a wish. Shared a great lunch of sushi at the fish market. He was so very patient and understanding about my broken toe and bad back. He kept the pace slow and let me sit whenever possible. The final place we visited was to see Godzilla! Had a great time! One day to see the sights isnt enough but he jam-packed the day with as many sights as possible. I think I walked 6 miles and rode many trains. Thank you Toshihari-San for a memorable day.
Dear Gail-san, Thank you for the wonderful tour review. Your original schedule was only one full day in Tokyo before getting on a cruise ship. But extremely strong typhoon hit Tokyo area on that day. It was not possible to do sightseeing. You informed me that your cruise ship departure was postponed one day. Then we could do a tour next day. You gave me important information timely. It was a big help for me to organize the tour. (Sorry as some sites were closed by the influence of typhoon.) You surveyed well about Japanese culture and history before coming to Japan. I could arrange the itinerary flexibly as you showed me your interests clearly. Thank you very much again. Best regards, Toshihiro
Toshihiro proved an excellent guide for my 2 day whirlwind visit to Tokyo; he is a polite and considerate gentleman. With his knowledge of the transit system, we criss-crossed Tokyo seeing all the sights I had requested, plus some that Toshihiro suggested that proved to be so interesting. He shared his knowledge in an easy manner and was able to answer all questions. Thanks to Toshihiro, I saw so much of Tokyo in a short time and have special memories.
Dear Cynthia-san, Thank you very much for the excellent tour review. You traveled by using cruise ship and stopped Tokyo only for two days. Sometimes it was rainy, but you were more interested in cultural and historical aspects of the city. So I hope that you enjoyed the sightseeing in spite of rain. Within a few years I expect that you come to Japan again and stay at Tokyo for one or two weeks. I recommend late March or early April to see beautiful cherry blossoms. Best regards, Toshihiro
It was our first day in Japan and Toshihro was the perfect guide to introduce us to Tokyo. We asked him to show us around the western past of Tokyo such us Meiji shrine, Shibuy and Shinjuku. We ended the tour in a quite tee shop although the booked 5 hours had already passed. He was was the perfect guide for us and our two teenage sons, knowledgable, attentive and very polite. His english was absolutely fine and he answered all our question with a lot of background knowledge. We can very much recomend Toshihiro as a guide.
Dear Alain-san, Thank you for the wonderful tour review. You surveyed Japan well and used Japan Rail Pass effectively. I am sure that your choice of visiting western part of Tokyo on the first full day was right decision to recover from jet lag and get various information. All of your family members were great and friendly. I enjoyed conversation with your people especially about culture and sports in Switzerland. I could do a guide as if I spent a good time with my friends. Thank you very much again. Best regards, Toshihiro
For anyone looking for a guide I highly recommend Toshihiro. He has a wonderful disposition and will work with you in order to make your visit very memorable. He went out of his way to help us figure out the transportation system and even assisted in obtaining shinkansen tickets to our next location. He is very knowledgeable about the city and country and took us to a wonderful sushi place. At the end of the trip we felt that we were hanging out with an old friend. My only regret is that I did not hire him for two days! If you are looking for a guide in Tokyo please don't hesitate to contact him. We could not say enough good things about him. Already looking forward to our next visit.
Dear Guillermo-san and Maria-san, Thank you for the excellent tour review. In spite of the first visit to Japan, you knew well about Japanese culture. I am also impressed with your wide knowledge about sushi. You have good experience of eating sushi in USA. Your chopstick skill is perfect and better than me. I was surprised as you purchased a Goshuin-cho and collected Goshuin at several shrines. I must say that your attitude of learning and trying to absorb different environment at tour destination is great. You speak basic phrases of Japanese and always expressed gratitude to other persons at shops, restaurants, and all other places. You are wonderful tourists. It is an honor that I could work as a tour guide for the people like you. Please come to Japan again in several year... read more
First day: He met us easily at the cruise terminal in Yokohama and we toured for eight hours to Tokyo seeing much more than we expected. He knows public transportation like the back of his hand so we were able to see much more than the usual shore excursion. Second day: When we disembarked from our cruise ship he again met us at the terminal and went to our nearby hotel together, dropping our bags. We then went to Kamakura. He made sure we saw the important sights and at the end of the day helped us purchase Shinkansen tickets that we needed for a train trip to Kyoto. He’s a “Five Star Guide” and very dedicated to his work.
Dear Mark-san and Lynn-san, Thank you for the quick and wonderful tour review. I also enjoyed Tokyo and Kamakura tour with you for two days. I sometimes do a guide for tourists coming to Japan by cruise ship. It was helpful that you taught me how cruise ship tour is. I was surprised because you are very active and walked long distance easily. You look much younger than your actual age. You know Japanese culture and tradition well. Sorry as I could not offer opportunity to do a tea ceremony in Kamakura. I hope that you will experience a tea ceremony in Kyoto. Please enjoy the rest of the tour in Japan. Best regards, Toshihiro
