“ Tokyo nature in the city ”

I spent a wonderful morning with Tomoko visiting some of the gardens and shrines around the Shinjuku area. If you are looking for a knowledgeable friendly guide to show you around Tokyo I would highly recommend her services.

Tomoko:

Hi Wayne! Thank you very much for taking your time to write a nice review while still traveling. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the tour although it was in your short layover and the weather was not quite favorable. I’m impressed by your enthusiasm to make every moment as a chance to take good photos even in the rain. The trees and forests in Meiji Jingu and Shinjuku Gyoen must have loved it!! Me? Of course, I did! See you soon again on your way back home.– Tomoko😊

“ Perfect day with the perfect guide ”

Tomoko is very knowledgeable and has truly high professionalism standards. I only had a day to spent in Tokyo, I wanted to make the most out of it, and I certainly owe this to Tomoko. I have described her my priorities and she designed a captivating and perfectly balanced day; I have learnt a myriad things about the Japanese history and culture, and also about mundane and practical aspects of the Japanese life. She carries a book with pictures, old prints, maps and text that help her to describe the topic in detail and make a point. She is punctual, energetic, and has a great senses of humor; one day in Tokyo is short, but she made it very memorable for me.

Tomoko:

Hi Roxana! Thank you so much for your warm, encouraging review. I’m glad you enjoyed the tour. You can tell easily from the pictures that I really enjoyed it, too! Yes, we laughed a lot together ! I’m impressed by your energy to try to make the most of your limited time and to enjoy it. My best regards to you. See you someday again😊

“ Many memories of feeling at home in Japan ”

My brother and I could not be more grateful for your kind services during our (first-ever) visit to experience the magnificent country of Japan. We found your pride in your country's tradition and culture to be exceptional. The sights, tastes, scents and stories of Japan you shared were privileges we never anticipated. We know you are far more than a polite, intuitive, world-travelled lady. We found ourselves walking with both a personal interpreter and a well-organised and unique ambassador. We experienced the spontaneous shortcuts and alleys, forests, special shrines, leafy temples, markets and the local shops where you ran and grew up. Thank-you for sharing everything, we would've been lost without you and your remarkable suggestions. We now feel confident to challenge ourselves with more exciting experiences when we return. Tomoko-san is a Kamakura area specialist; responsible, engaging, patient, and also a flexible facilitator between visitors and local people, both in the bustle of Tokyo and the wider prefectures. Highly recommended!

Tomoko:

Anthony-san, Thank you so much for posting such wonderful remarks for me. I’m very glad that you and Craig-san genuinely enjoyed our tours in Tokyo and Kamakura. I appreciate your showing great respect to our culture, too. Thank you. Yes, I was brought up in Kamakura and spent many years there, so I have endless stories about the area. I was happy you got interested in them and even drew some from my memory. I’m sure you will find a lot more beauties when you visit Japan again in different seasons and explore wider areas. Hope to see you again someday! – Tomoko😊

“ Wonderful tour ”

Tomoko was an excellent guide for my family of four during our first day in Tokyo. She was well prepared and on time, and she brought us a useful map and some other materials. She also made some interesting suggestions for our tour that we enjoyed very much, such as visiting the Asakura Museum of Sculpture. Her English is very good and she was very good at relating to my kids (ages 14 and 12). I highly recommend Tomoko as a guide.

Tomoko:

Hi Teresa, Thank you so much for taking your time to write a nice review for me. I’m glad you enjoyed the tour although it rained a lot in the morning. I really enjoyed myself sharing the time with you and your family. Your children are so sweet! I was impressed that you had made great research and prepared so well in advance, anticipating your travel to Japan. I’m glad you enjoyed the museum, Asakusa and Kappabashi a lot. Thank you and see you again someday. -Tomoko

“ Highlights of Tokyo in a day ”

This was the first trip to Tokyo for me and my family. We wanted to do a tour that would highlight some of the history/culture of Japan and Tomoko planned the itinerary and delivered. We were able to learn some of the historical/cultural context and visit places such as the Meiji Temple and Sensoji Temple with Tomoko. She also included places such as Harajuku (place where a lot of teenagers go to shop and entertain themselves) to engage and entertain my teenage daughters and an opportunity for them to try on Kimonos. She also guided us to a local restaurant for lunch to try monjayaki which was a great experience. She was also very engaging with the entire family which made the tour very enjoyable as well as provided tips on traveling around Tokyo via the subway system and other places that we were planning to visit on our own such as Tsukiji Fish Market. I would recommend to book a tour with Tomoko for anyone looking to visit Japan.

Tomoko:

Hi Alvin, Thank you for taking your time to post a nice review for me. I’m glad you enjoyed the tour and places we visited together. I really enjoyed the tour with you, too. It was a hot but fun day. Your daughters are smart adventurous young ladies to try everything new and enjoy Monja! Thank you and I hope to see you again someday!
