Take a tiny tram of Setagayasen and visit fascinating places such as Gotokuji, known as Lucky Cat Temple, with countless beckoning cats, a local administrator's residence from samurai period, etc. Stroll around a shopping mall where old shops and modern cafes stand side by side. This tour shows you both traditional temples/shrines and how Japanese shop and dine in their local community.
Feel free to personalize this offer with Yumi.
This tour visits various spots along the Setagaya Line, trams that run at 18km per hour through a residential area just west of Shibuya. With a one-day ticket of just 330 yen, you can get on and off the tram at any station as much as you like.
Gotokuji - a buddhist temple known as Lucky Cat Temple; the highlight of this tour. Countless ceramic cats will welcome you.
Daikan Yashiki - a mansion of a powerful farmer family commissioned to govern the area by a feudal lord. Here you can have a chance to glimpse a traditional Japanese house.
Shoin Jinja - a shinto shrine dedicated to a great samurai intellectual at the end of samurai period who educated youngsters, many of whom later became important figures of a government of modern Japan.

Excellent day in Tokyo with Yumi who was a delight to be with. She was very informative and kept the day interesting and adapted our day as required. His English is very good and his knowledge was excellent. She is extremely efficient and will help you with all your questions in Kyoto. I would highly recommend her. Paloma. Madrid (Spain)

Yumi is absolutely lovely and I would highly recommend her! She took us on the city tram tour and it was an amazing experience. Away from the touristy parts of Tokyo, we got to see places where the locals live. We saw the local market, tried some local food. We were even lucky to see a local ceremony at a shrine. Yumi is very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information about the history of these places. She was also great with the kids. She catered the tour in a way that my 1 and 4 year old would be comfortable. She even thought my 4 year some Japanese customs. Over all it was a great start to our trip. Thank you again Yumi!
Hi Tejal san, I am glad that you enjoyed my tour. I had a really good time with you, too. You are such a nice family I already miss you! Enjoy Harajuku, Odaiba and Kyoto. Hope to see you again in Tokyo! Yumi
Yumi is a wonderful and knowledgeable guide! It was my family’s first time to Tokyo. Without Yumi’s help , navigating Tokyo with children would have been difficult . She catered the tour to the varying ages in our group (from 7-81 yrs) with ease and was still able to cover quite a lot of sites ! Thank you Yumi and hope to meet with you again soon! P.S Thanks for making me try the horse sashimi!! Loved it!
Stacy, thank you so much for your wonderful comment and rating! You were such a sweet family I had a really good time with you. Having the horse sashimi was quite an experience, wasn’t it? Please say hello to everybody, and see you again in the near future! Yumi
I so appreciated her always responding promptly to all my emails finalizing our itinerary. It was wonderful being able to choose what sites we wanted to see on our free day. Having Yumi expertly maneuvering all the trains was so amazing. We would have never been able to accomplish what we did without her help. She was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. She was always concerned about our comfort. We felt so comfortable with her. Thank you so very much Yumi. We will always cherish our day with you.🌺
Thank you so much for your warm-hearted comment. I too had a very good time with you. You were such wonderful guests I am missing you two. Hope to see you again some day!
