“ Excellent tour ”

Mr. Yuki met us very punctually. He was very informative and kept a brisk pace, allowing us to a number of sites during the day. He handled purchasing the tickets we needed to navigate about Tokyo. The restaurant he suggested for lunch was elegant, quite and out of the way (a nice break from the heat and crowds outside). I was able to have some interesting chats related to his profession, as he was a nuclear physicist. We were fortunate to have Mr. Yuki as our guide!

Yuki:
Dear MB, Thank you for your kind review. I feel sorry for your daughters not enjoyed Soba noodle and Tempura. Harajuku is not a great place for lunch. By the way I used to be a nuclear engineer not nuclear physicist. Please come again in the autumn color season. Best regards, Yuki

“ Wonderful trip to Kamakura with Yuki ”

We enjoyed a fantastic day tour from Tokyo to Kamakura with Yuki. He was professional but warm and friendly. He is also very high energy. His English and knowledge of various cultures/religions is excellent. In addition to his clear verbal explanations, he carries an iPad pre-loaded with photos, diagrams and other reference info to quickly assist his guests in their understanding of the various points of interest. We felt that was quite helpful. We had a few email exchanges before we arrived in Tokyo so he could plan our tour for what we wanted to see most. Much of it was left to his discretion since he is the expert. For example, he arranged the timing to take the large Sunday crowds into consideration. We either walked or took the subway. The tour was well-planned for the most efficient use of time. We saw all of the major hightlights including the large Buddha and many shrines, gardens, and temples. We also meandered through a few little shops along the way when it started to rain. (The rain was no problem at all.) Lunch was in a small noodle shop- just perfect! Later, we toured a new, ultra-modern shopping center near Tokyo Station. Very interesting! Thank you, Yuki-san for our wonderful day. When we come back to Japan, we will be sure to find you again. Cheers!

Yuki:
Dear Gayle, Thank you very much to take your time to write such an elaborate review ! We enjoyed Hase-dera temple in the morning although its Hydrangea trail was too crowded to visit as it is a very narrow trail. It was unfortunate that it started heavy rain after lunch. I really wanted take you to Enkaku-ji Temple as it is more peaceful and less crowded place in Kamakura. I thought we can visit Imperial palace if the rain stops but it didn't. So I took you a new shopping center "Kitte" next to Tokyo Station. I am glad you enjoyed the place and return to your hotel without being wet. There are many other places in Tokyo with beautiful garden so please come again in autumn when the weather will be better. Best regards, Yuki

Hakone is very popular for one day trip from Tokyo. There are nice parks and museums with scenic view. We will take a mountain railway, a rope way and cruise Lake Ashi by the Pirate ship. Hakone is famous for hot public baths, you can try one if you want. If you are lucky, you can enjoy the magnificent view of Mt. Fuji.
